Helio X20 control ? - Elephone S7 Questions & Answers

Hi there !
It seems i cannot easily find an application that might help me to control the Helio X20 of the S7.
I tried several like Kernel Adiutor but they are not able to control the three cpu clusters differently.
I would like to cool down the cpu by limitating the speed.
Do you know a tool for that please ?
Best regards,
Philippe.

I believe you must have a custom kernel if you want to control it.

hotplugging question

So I installed Kernel Adiutor to tweak the I/O performance and was kinda curious about the governors and all. I noticed that all 4 cores stay on at ALL times. Is this normal behaviour? Why is there no hotplugging? could it be implemented in a custom kernel?
Coming from a Snapdragon 801 which had quad custom cores, it used to have hotplugging to save battery. Thanks for answering if anyone knows

My only guess here is probably the Developer haven't add support for the new'er Snapdragon chip/s?
Been using Kernel Auditor for awhile and I see sd820 reads as single cluster where should 2 (big-LITTLE) . Well just a thought
ok that makes sense, do you know of a kernel tweaker which is updated to work with the new snapdragons by any chance?
I found an app that works, for anybody who is interested, EX Kernel manager works great with the big.LITTLE cores on the s820, happy tweaking!
I'm currently trying out the Interactive governor tweaks posted around the forums

Understanding kernels and governers

Hi there guys
As always I am the hard gamer back with a new guide
So basically most of us have questions about kernels and what are governors doing
Kernel is basically connecting your system. Apps to the hardware, without kernel your hardware will not know what to do when any input is provided.
Governors are different CPU throttle controllers they have been created with thresholds containing how and when to online or offline a core depending on its usage
Let's talk about Alucard governer- one of my favorite
Alucard basically on our phones acts as balanced governed it mostly clubs all the work in one core you can see the parameters defined in settings as to when to online another core it just focuses on clubbing more work in less cores with lowest frequencies
Ondemand--quite outdated governer now replaced by interactive on demand is quite some to understand it just on lines the core as soon as inputs are received which is quite dumb as it costs battery
ZZmove---Another powersaver i have seen its throttling it basically tries to club work in all cores which are at their lowest frequencies this governed causes a bit lag till it settles with your usage
So Go on and ask any doubts about governers
I myself monitor the throttle and report here
Queries are welcomed
Queries will be answered as fast as possible
I will add more governers soon
Anyone wants a porting guide
I will add pics when I get my PC back

Kernel Adiutor and LSpeed

Hi Everyone!
This is my second post. I am now using a custom ROM on my Lenovo a6000. I am enjoying it yet I still want to make it even more awesome which is why I keep on looking for good apps to improve my device. I came across with LSpeed and many have spoken that it was a good app.
However, I find it similar to Kernel Adiutor which is already installed together with the RR ROM. Now my question is, is it safe to use both of it together at the same time? Is there any side effects or bad results?
Looking forward to your honest answers.
Regards,
Borj

Thank you! I am just curious because LSpeed also have CPU Governors which Kernel Adiutor also have. Not just that, they almost got the same features. Does this two won't cause problems on managing CPU Cores when used together at the same time?

What Lspeed contains is the governer tuner
it just improves the throttling of cpu and does not change your governer
use both of them freely

No bro, actually the updated LSpeed on Google Paystore does CPU governors. Please check it yourself.

GPU Control (Will pay donation to creator!)

Does anyone know if there is any kernel that allows GPU Control for the s8?
Or any developer that can enable gpu control?
Will pay $$$ to whoever can enable gpu control =)

Check out the MTweaks kernel control app. It's free and the best one for the Galaxy S8, offering full control of the hardware.
I recommend the Xceed kernel that offers OC and delivers very good performance. I scored a crazy 281k on AnTuTu 7 with my Galaxy S8 Plus.
I'm using the BatMan ROM with the Xceed kernel and tweaked the performance with Lspeed.

How to Improve Gaming performance on your Moto g4 plus

If any gamers use specific software/apps/tweaks for better gaming experience, please share or any suggestions for rom/kernel. I know our phone is not meant for gaming purpose, but root makes so many things possible. Thanks in advance.
If you flash LineageOS, there is a performance mode which makes gaming seem better than stock but does kill the battery faster though.
Ex kernel with ex kernel manager and you can overclock or control cores.
