confirm spec - NFC, etc... - Nokia 6 Questions & Answers

I could not find any relevant info about the NFC support in Nokia 6, If it has it, it would be perfect phone for the buck.
In the specs on the official web they have NFC as yes, but from design and teardown video
I can not see any NFC antenna. Does that mean, the Chinese version does not have NFC and global version will have it or is it just an error in specs?
Can somebody from the lucky owners confirm whether or not the phone has NFC?

No NFC. There's nothing in the settings, and just to be sure I didn't miss it I installed some NFC apps and they'll just say my phone doesn't support NFC.

I accidentaly looked at Nokia.com for the specs of th ephone and for my surprise under the international english the phone has
Sensors Accelerometer (G-sensor), ambient light sensor, e-compass, Hall sensor, fingerprint sensor, gyroscope, proximity sensor, NFC (sharing)

when switch to Hong Kong english the specs differ
Data connection/sensor
Micro USB (USB 2.0), OTG, 3.5mm ADJ headphone jack, light sensor, proximity sensor, accelerometer (gravity sensor), digital compass, gyro, front fingerprint sensor

There is still hope for the NFC

Well it seems, we will have a NFC version of the phone. https://www.androidheadlines.com/2017/04/silver-colored-nokia-6-now-available-pre-order-china.html
Anyone ordering the 64GB Silver version?
Unfortunately no galileo support, since the Snapdragon 430 does not support it. HMD is stupid to build a phone on old SD430, instead of SD435.

Anyone have nokia 6 model TA-1003 and can post spec on that model.
4g/lte band supported
nfc
and what else is different from that model and the coming global model?
it seem some on ebay and some at other sites, have different spec about supported bands, and nfc, but all lists as TA-1003
would like to know what is the right spec, before i eventually buy a nokia 6 TA 1003 mod.
F. Eks Amazon list modell ta 1003 with nfc an more supported bands than dealextreme list on that same model.
Anyone know what the right spec is?

Anybody got chance to play with the new 6axis motion sensor?

This is the biggest motivation on my side to buy Vibrant to be frank. I am a casual developer and would like to write some acc+gyro related application on my own phone.
As far as I know, Vibrant has 6 axis motion sensor, which should be 3 axis acc + 3 axis Gyro if I didn't misunderstand it. However, I can not get any information from internet about what's the model the sensor is, and I'm not sure if this sensor is of exact function as acc+gyro. So if anybody happened to know such kind of information, please share it, my purchase decision would be definitely based on this.
Thanks!
If I remember correctly it is actually a 6-axis accelerometer. It gives you angular acceleration instead of angular velocity, which has it's goods and it's bads.
Thanks Lutin
I'm not sure if it's Gyro or not. There are two posts can be referred

http://fonefrenzy.com/2010/06/28/samsungs-galaxy-has-a-gyroscope-like-the-iphone-4/
Based on what I saw, I guess most people are still confused about its type. This is why I was wondering if anybody knows the actual model by chance
There's no gyroscope in Vibrant, Captivate, Fascinate, Epic,...
just triaxial accelerometer from Bosch and triaxial geomagnetic sensor from Yamaha
Exactly the same sensor set with Galaxy S UK and Asian version.
Are you sure? This is totally different from what them claimed. They said they have something other than just digital compass

100%, sir.
I own both Galaxy S UK and Vibrant
I used some different software and *#*#0*#*#* code to check on both devices. I'm not surprised to realize that there's no gyroscope.
But the Yamaha geomagnetic is superior to almost every smart phones on the market right now (bi-axis). It's a tri-axis sensor.
I suppose that the combination of tri-axis geomagnetic sensor and tri-axis acceleration sensor will be equal to gyros + accele in iphone 4
Sorry for my English.

thanks man, you saved me a lot of time!
I played with one Vibrant today and yeah, it's magnetic sensor. But it performs basically the same as Gyro, just will be affected by the metal thing.
I have no idea how good it would be in real use and I am still thinking if I should give it a shot.

U.S. or International ?

who has the brightcell sensor , the us or the inter. galaxy s7 ?
is-it best than imx 260 ?
the us or the inter. galaxy s7 ?
The camera sensor is a crap shoot. I'm in Australia, my Edge has the Samsung sensor, my mother's S7 has the Sony, both made in Vietnam.
I have the Samsung ISOCELL (brightcell is incorrect) on the international model, it's like Genebaby said, it is totally random which phone get what sensor. I think they just threw all sensors in 1 bin before they assembled the phones.
Several tests have proven both sensors are equally good.
US or International Version has only SoC differences.
Camera is NOT Region specific. Just the CPU is.

Okay, so I have the SLSI_S5K2L1_FIMC_IS sensor, which is.... which one? I'm using AIDA64 to check.

Cameras Sensor Strange?? Must check

So i decided to check my camera sensor on my N910C Running erobot 2.0 Marshmallow
This is what i found out
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B8-6e_5n2ovpV0xSLVFaQ0pILXc
I have 2 Sensors in one device
Is this suppose to happen?
Some sites say that the Back Camera Of the Exynos variant should be Samsung's SLSR / ISOCELL
The SOny IMX240 Should be on the Snapdragon.
What do you guys think
Interesting.

G5 plus - NFC wont work with Sony camera

Hey
My dad has a Sony RX100 iii and his G5 plus will not receive pictures from his camera using the Play Memories app.
Android Pay works, so doesn't seem like a phone NFC issue.
Anyone else had this problem?
Hi,
I don't have this problem, as I don't have a RX100.
However, I detected a very low range NFC in this mobile (see my post about it):
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g5-plus/help/nfc-low-range-t3607724
From my experience the problem is that you need to approach very close to the HFC chip (or antena)... and if this Sony camera has also a limited NFC range then is imposible to communicate.
Try to search where is the NFC chip/antenna of the RX100 and aproximate it to the top of the mobile, in the back and in the center.
NFC is just above the camera..Tried it all...it works with other phones but not G5+
same here, G5 plus and Sony WX500. I didn't learn how to make it work. Out of 20 attempts I heard the Moto NFC failure notification only once. The low range explanation makes sense.
I had the same issue with different (SONY)camera model. Neither the Play Memories nor the camera worked with NFC.
Does G5 PLus has NFC to begin with?
Yes...use it every day

International models.. yes.
US model has compass instead. International model no compass.

No more Sony camera sensors on Qualcomm version?!

Last years all the S and Note versions use to have Sony IMX sensors on Qualcomm version and SLSI (Samsung low quality sensors) on the Exynos version.
I just test a Qualcomm version from China and I was very surprised to discover with Aida64 that Samsung uses the low quality sensors even on this Qualcomm version, only the selfie sensor is IMX from Sony.
I just wonder, in US version with Qualcomm it's the same? Becouse, I really like the IMX sensors vs Samsung ones
Just check it with AIDA64 and let us know pls. Thank You!
Confirmed...slsi on US model.

Same on Canadian
You shouldn't call them low quality, Sony is actually quite behind hardware-wise and Samsung is getting rid of it for a reason, you can very well expect the next Pixel to have an ISOCELL sensor too, it would really do wonders with good processing.
Many manufacturers are sourcing these sensors from Samsung, Apple includes them in their latest phones too
But yeah, the only Sony IMX Qualcomm S10s have is the front camera, everything else is a proprietary upgrade.
I have an Exynos and I'm very happy with the rear camera, disappointed with the front one, it's applying a pink-clear effect on skins no matter the settings and I just don't come from a culture obsessed with automatic photo editing to make faces look like plastic, I want total accuracy and I hope they give up on the Asian autophotoshop bull**** with future updates, I don't need that.
