Is there a repository for the 'incremental' updates? The files in the website are the full firmware so all bloatware comes back after I flash.

Is it that much hard for someone to copy the link and paste inhere?

if it's that easy, there will be someone who already post it. the problem is Asus haven't post or upload it in the web. just OTA download available.

im just having problems installing it, that 10 seconds shut down thing. if you can help me haha
edit: solved, re flashing stock kernel, recovery and system (DONT LET IT BOOT INTO SYSTEM OR YOU'LL NEED TO START OVER FROM STOCK ROM), installing the zip from the ota, then installing twrp and no-verity and supersu again
first install no verity zip before any boot to system after updating then after the zip, let it boot once to patch itself, then do everything you like to

Is it working?
Have anyone tested it?
How to install it? I mean ....Do I need to do full wipe (wipe system, data, cache, davik cache)?

Ok, so now it's on the Tab. How do I make the update do it's thing?
name it update.zip....put it in root of SD, reboot to recovery and choose install update.zip
At least that is what I did and it worked perfectly......do it at your own risk though.

Dumb question: How do I boot to recovery?
Turn off....hold volume up while powering on
Volume down to install update.zip and press home. (after menu comes up)
Make sure you have decently full battery or on AC
Worked! Thanks!
Still can't copy/paste from the mail program.
Update
I zipped the file so it should be easier to dl. Try this link. If you are going to rename it unzip it first, then rename. It was originally a htm file in my cache folder but as above some have had success renaming and flashing it. I have not tried yet myself yet as I'd like to here from people who have root and bootstrapped ext filesystem. If you do let us all know your results. Cheers.

I put the update.zip on rapidshare for anyone who wants it

So has anyone successfully updated that was rooted and running ext4?
Will it affect kernels or root access? If this gets rid of my of my kernel and won't allow to reflash ill be pissed! So if anyone has installed this please let me know. And if it's for the worst. Tell me how to get rid of the damn update icon!

Root was still there, and kernel build number did not change. the [email protected] did change.
I cannot guarantee that it will not affect kernel, but it did number change the build number so it suggests it did not

[Q] OTA 4.3 Update + custom recovery + user stupidity

Hey!
So i've just received the update, and as per instructions i rebooted to install the update. But after rebooting, clockwork recovery appeared with the options of NO, NO, NO, etc, Yes install unknown ZIP, NO, etc. Because i was doing two other things at the moment (and i'm a moron) i've clicked Cancel and rebooted.
So now i'm still on 4.2.2 and when i click on "Check for system update" in setup it says "Up to date"
Am i totally screwed with the OTA update? I'll punch myself in the face if i have to do the update manually and resetup everything on my device <.<''
Thanks!

With the file from my /cache folder CWM gives Status 7 - Installation aborted. (i've moved the file to my "SD card")
As far as i saw, that might pop up if the ROM is not well done, but that is the file that i got from Google
So... any ideas how shall i proceed?

If you don't want to do a manual update, you can either wait it out - the OTA will come back again eventually - or, you can take a look at system/cache and see the 4.3 update.zip, move it over to your root folder, then go into CWM recovery and install that.

I think it's because you are not using stock kernel. As far as i've gathered from reading here, there is no trouble with custom recovery in general (it seems that sometimes there are issues - mine for example), but otherwise you should be stock: Google's ROM + kernel. If i was in your situation, i would flash the original kernel (you can extract it from the 4.2.2 release image). I'm not sure about multirom, you should research that.
As for my issue, after sleeping on it i think that i'll just wipe and flash the whole 4.3 image. After that i'll setup everything again.
Turns out, that the applications i need to backup data from are not so much, and i figured out where they keep the data i'm interested in. Also i want to see if wiping will help my memory issues (almost full device = slow as hell device).

Hey,
Sorry saw that you did a clean re-install already.
I had the same problem as you. What I did was to flash TWRP (unlike CWM it allows you to ignore the verification error) and tried to take the update again. That still failed however, because I apparently had an edited debuggerd file (happens if you use the Stickmount app). I downloaded a stock one from this thread, replaced it in system/bin, and re-flashed 4.3. Finally worked.
I then re-rooted by flashing the latest SuperSU in TWRP.
Are you replacing the 'debuggerd' file within the 4.3 zip update? Or the file on the Nexus 7 before the 4.3 is flashed?
I've tried updating 4.3 using the OTA 4.3 zip & TWRP & my nexus 7 is currenly stuck the the 'X' boot logo.

Hmm, possibly the removal of the 2/18 nightly screwed up the system.
Try manually updating to see if it restarts.
I know that the Xperia ZL updates don't automagically flash... (they download on the internal sdcard drive, but attempt to flash from the external sdcard drive...)
That doesn't seem to be the issue you're describing though...

Browse to the internal in TWRP and they should autoflash then.
I need to look into fixing TWRP's default search path when flashing via a script.

can you please tell me how to manually update omnirom, thanks
Sorry for not answer hichem but at least I see you came right.
To report back though...update went through smoothly last night.
A small (related) thing that has been bugging me though with Opendelta updates is that sometimes it takes a few Check now presses before it finds something...then it will stop and report that your system is up to date after having verified the update file you presently have and downloading the update file...press Check now again and it now patches the file before reporting that there is an update and you can flash.
Any reason to this behaviour?

UPDATE 2/5/15 How to get to 100% STOCK OA6 (LOLLIPOP) and Root!

Here is how to get to OA6 100% stock:
1. DL Odin 3.09
2. DL stock OA6 TAR
3. Make a backup of your apps/data (TiBu/Helium/etc). MAKE SURE THE APP/DATA BACKUPS ARE TO YOUR EXT SD CARD!!!
BACKUPS (from TiBu and apps like that) PROBABLY WILL NOT WORK GOING FROM 4.4.4 TO 5.0!
4. Go into recovery and do a factory reset and wipe system/internal sd/cache/dalvik. Power off phone completely!
5. Power on into Download Mode and flash the stock OA6 tar (put it in "AP/PDA" in Odin).
**6. Do a factory reset in the stock recovery after you flash the tar (not necessary but deff won't kill ya!). **OPTIONAL
7. In "About Device" your baseband and software should now end in OA6 and Android version should be 5.0. If they are not, then you did something wrong, go back to step 2 and try a redownload, and reflash of stock OA6 tar.
**OPTIONAL: Root** 8. DL CF-Auto Root.
9. Place in PDA/AP slot in Odin and run it.
10. DL a custom recovery of your choosing and flash.
11. Reboot to recovery and FLASH THIS (SuperSU v2.45). Now root should work reliably on Lollipop (THANKS CHAINFIRE!!)
12. Download and install MOAR v6.0! **If you do this no need to do steps 13 & 14!**
13. Download and flash Knox Removal to get rid of Knox. BE SURE TO THANK TDUNHAM!
14. Get flashlight toggle as well as plenty others with THIS APP!
15. PROFIT!

Some people seem to be having trouble, so I thought this might help you guys out.
1. DL this stock NCB tar.
2. Take out your EXT SD Card (if you have one).
3. Flash the stock NCB tar (put it in "PDA" in Odin).
4. Do a factory reset in the stock recovery after you flash the tar (not necessary but deff won't kill ya!).
5. Reboot into Download Mode and make sure it says ROM type= OFFICIAL! If it says custom you will not be able to take the OTA.
6. Reboot, check for the OTA to "ND2" and wait for it to complete.
7. Your baseband and software should now end in ND2. If it does not, then you did something wrong, go back to step 1 and try a redownload, and reflash of stock NCB tar.
8. Re-root.
Also if someone that has SuperSU PRO version, can check if "Survival Mode" works for the GS5, that'd be awesome!

13 hrs left . Anybody want to scp it to my machine? If so I will host it for a few months, got a cable connection but it will definitely be faster than that link.
not needed
all this is unneeded if someone would just post the update from their phone cache for those that are rooted.

Sorry if this is asking the obvious, but this will erase everything? Will I need a titanium backup or something to restore app/settings?

Back up what you want using titanium backup to your external sd, then follow the steps above bud

Why the big deal???
I don't see the big deal with upgrading to ND2. Haven't read that it allows the download booster to work...lol
This what is suppose to be updated:
Google search results are no longer included in the list when using S Finder
Fixed device responsiveness when using S View Cover
Enable camera capture during voice call
Fixed alarm failure when deleting alarm
Fixed email duplication, when moving an email from original folder to another folder the email should only be viewable in the moved to folder
FYI personally like how the S finder pulled up google search stuff.
That's what I thought, thanks.

If and when I get the notification I will not be updating. I just press and hold the notification and go into "app info" menu and disable notifications.

Sorry, great point. I will add to the post to make a backup of your apps/data (TiBu/Helium/etc).
I did NOT do (6) the factory reset...
I have SuperSU PRO... "Survival Mode"... SuperSU PRO did not stick...
Now on ND2, rerooted, TWRP'd...
restored via Titanium...
had to rerun SDFix...
Thanx

Ehh, the factory reset can only help, not hurt haha, so I will leave it in there as an option. But thank you for testing Survival Mode on SuperSU Pro. Can anyone else test/confirm this too please. Thanks guys!

Thanks for the steps!
however, that does seem like a big pain in the butt..
why don't people just wait for the new stock rooted rom of that version and just flash that?!?

They don't necessarily repackage the ROM with every update. I did the upgrade just to get the baseband update. Not too painful at all.

Install OTA update on rooted phone with TWRP without wiping data

Hello, I have rooted and installed TWRP in my nexus 6p and now I have received the OTA update but I can't install it. How can I install it without losing my data?
Thanks

Unfortunately you cant :/
Download TiBu that is the closest you can get...
If you download a custom rom that keeps it up to date, they will probably include the update and you can just flash over it. but stock rom there isnt much u can do.

Trying to undo the last steps by flashing back the modified boot.img and TWRP.
Booting into TWRP and it asks for a password to decrypt storage!!!
Is wiping the only option??
I followed the guide religiously. What went wrong?

I followed the guide (part 10. How To Take An OTA Update If You Have Root).
Then after rebooting (before installing the OTA that is) I got a message saying encryption unsuccessful and I needed to wipe my phone. I turned it off instead and tried to restore it as it was before. Screw the OTA, I just need my phone back. I flashed back boot and recovery, is system.img or vendor.img the culprit?
Any ideas? Do I need to wipe data?

I really don't know what went wrong here, other people have done this with no issues. In TWRP it should be able to decrypt as long as you enter the password/pin.

I had a screen lock pattern, I entered the numbers that correspond to it (from what I read somewhere else, like a num keypad), no joy.
But then again, shouldn't actual booting into the system work as well? Why give this error msg?
I'm going to format then...
unless your super comfortable with ADB and fastboot, flashing things through them is never a good idea, you will screw up allot of the time. its always easier for the average user to wait for a ota zip and flash that. Or never root and accept otas.
Im not saying never use adb, just dont use it when its super important to keep your data

The only problem with that is even when an OTA zip is available you'd need to use fastboot to flash system etc to remove root anyway.
So I formatted, then set it up, then tried restoring my latest nandroid backup and now it doesn't recognise the pattern lock!

i meant a TWRP zip. unless im misunderstanding something, you can just flash those over your current rooted stock and be on your way

known problem, read this
Thanks for that, although at first after reading the first few posts I thought there was no solution, luckily I kept reading until here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=63797741&postcount=34
I did that and it worked! so at least I got back my working phone. Back to square one (almost, I lost all my local copies of photos, with only cloud backup for the last 2 weeks or so) with no OTA installed. I may try it again at some other point or wait for a more safe method.

So, do I have this right? If I download and flash build MDA89D ROM will it upgrade in place over my currently installed build MDB08K without losing my data? (I asked in that thread as well)
