Device not rooted despite PurpleDrake saying that it was? - LG L Fino Questions & Answers

I'm trying to root my device using PurpleDrake. The installation goes just fine, no errors, I am told that it is now rooted. However neither Root Checker nor SuperSu detect root. Any help?
EDIT: Nevermind, decided to go for different root method.

Running out of options trying to root SM-G530T

I've been trying to root my GP using the KingRoot and Odin methods, but came out empty with both methods
Summarized attempt
- Installed the newest KingRoot apk into my phone and installed
- Gave me an "Could not find root but try anyways" error and processed
- Finished successfully and confirmed root with Root Checker
- Ran SuperSume Pro and it stalls
- Reset phone and it bricks (infinite T-Mobile opening loop)
- Factory rest using Odin and stock firmware (from samsung-firmware)
- Try using pre rooted firmware (CF Auto Root Fortuna3a and another firmware I found) after, but both failed during the Odin process
If anyone would like me to go into more detail about my attempt, help me through a process, or link me to another root solution I would greatly appreciate it
I don't have the same model of grand prime, but I'm pretty sure you could just flash supersu.zip then install supersu.
Maybe wait until somebody else can verify I'm right, but I'm pretty sure it works on other models. You can find it along with other info here in the forums.
Hope it helps!
Edit; reread your post and had an idea, how about using the kingroot apk to root, verify with root checker, then try supersu or Super User from the app store?
Doubt it could hurt, if root checker is saying you have root, then it'd be safe to deduce that it's the rights management app and not the root process itself that's the issue

Here this is how I rooted my g530t http://forum.xda-developers.com/grand-prime/development/kernel-root-root-sm-g530t-5-1-1-t3203476
I figured out it was the Google FRP Lock that was the cause of the problems lol, after turning on the OEM unlocking (found in the Developer options in settings) the root worked fine using the TrapKernel MD5 with Odin

Chainfire root j500FN root problems suddenly not rooted anymore

I got it rooted but just the first apps that required root got access granted now when i use root checker or want to use a root firewall it says it's not rooted. Root checker says its not rooted. But i granted 4 apps and now suddenly its not rooted anymore. How can that happen i even got superSU pro. Tried to root again with Odin still same problem. Only got the 4 first apps i installed that required root then its not rooted anymore.

Root problems, kingroot says its rooted but no app is recognizing it is rooted

i formated the phone, installed kingroot, when i opened titanium backup it shows automatically that phone doesnt have root access. downloaded terminal to use kingroot to supersu and terminal says "connected to ui timed out", downloaded super sume, it stays on preparing phone.

ps: give options besides downgrading

[Q] Kingo Root Issue

So I successfully rooted my Galaxy Tab 4 SM T230NU using the kingo root apk. And it installed it's version of superuser. But when I rebooted my tablet I lost root. So I attempted to re root using kingo again but when I open kingo it says I have root already and the button to begin rooting my degice is no longer therw. All I can do is go to kingo Superuser which does me no good. Tried deleting the kingoroot app and reinstalling and still saying I'm already rooted. So it won't let me re-root using kingo since it thinks I am rooted and the button to root no longer is available. What should I do. I need root back in order to get rid if the kingo Superuser. And I would just like to have root in general since that was my main goal in the first place
Why would you want to use Kingoroot, when you have a perfectly working TWRP available for this device?
Cause I assumed I needed kingo root working in order to remove kingo superuser

[Q] Kingo Root

Rooted successfully with Kingoroot then after I rebooted I lost root. So I opened kingoroot again so I could re root, but it now says I have root and the option to root the phone that's normally there is gone. Just says "Have Root" and the only option I have is to open the kingo Superuser which does me no good. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling kingoroot and still have the same problem. How can I re root my device.
I also can't remove the Kingo superuser app until I am rooted again and can delete system files. Other wise it's stuck on there. So I need root again ASAP
You could re-install stock firmware with Odin and then re-do kingo root. Or you might be able to install TWRP in Odin and flash SuperSu.
