Meizu M2 Note trouble in connecting to network - Meizu M2 Note Questions & Answers

Hi.
I have a Meizu M2 note with Flyme 6.02.0A.
I have a what seems to be a software or hardware problem in connecting to the phone operator network.
I use 2 sims on the phone I have tried the sims on a Samsung phone and they work fine. When people call me, my meizu doesn't ring nor shows the incoming phone call. Later when it reconnects to network (it keeps going on and off) a missed call message appears. When I loose network connection (in areas where i shouldn't) I cant make outgoing calls nor send / receive sms. People that call me don't get the phone disconnected message... It rings has everything is ok but Meizu plays dead.... When the phone is in this state it seems to freeze a little bit and a Flyme screen appear like it is going to reboot but it doesn't.
Can anyone help me, please?

losing connection to network

My device is O2 Mini S. Sometimes it just goes dead and nobody can call me. The funny thing is that I can call and the signal bar is in good condition. When I restart the device, signal bar goes dead too for some time and I just can't establish connection to the service provider any more. After some time it just appears to be ok and I can call again. Even incomming calls work. WTF??!? Is it something wrong with device or my service provider? It's actually very annoying that nobody can get in touch with me when i REALLY need to...

Sounds like a device issue more than service. Have you contacted O2 to complain about it as it may be that the XDA needs replacing. I know my Nokia started doing something similar and would lose network for no reason even while my partners' phone (also Nokia on O2) was fine and had a full signal strength.
Try setting the network manually rather than automatic, i seem to get better signal this way.

Thanks, this seem to have worked. Haven't got any missed call in 4 days... However, this is very odd, why does it happen with automatic network detection?
losing connection, no calls, no sms

Phones does not work when dat connection is active

Hello Everyone,
I am having a wierd issue with my HTC Tytn. When my Data connection is active I cannot make or recieve phone calls.Any incoming call goes straight to voicemail and any number I dial the phone will display "call ended" before it even starts to to ring. The minute I close the data connection the phone works again.I have updated my ROM to the latest English ROM.Could my unit be defective?
Thanks in advance!!!
Hmmm that's weird.
Your TyTN is acting as class C device (Data or Voice), and in fact TyTN is class B device (Data is suspended while on Voice).
Is your unit defective? Possible, but... first backup your TyTN completely, then re-update full ROM, set up data connection and call to check it while on active transfer. If it will be OK - your unit is OK and this is software/registry problem, if not your unit is might be defective. This is the quickest way to determine.
My device does this as well, but only when connected to Slingmobile.
Other "always on" programs are not affecting me.
Not sure if this helps or not Just trying to add more data.
data causing call dropouts
Hi,
Hope this helps, but here in Australia when using the Telstra HSDPA network on UMTS850, when i'm connected to a data session, I can't receive calls and the caller gets the "phone is switched off" message. If I force the phone to use the old UMTS2100 network, the phone will pause the data session and allow the incoming call. On another forum I have read that this is due to a limitation in the Ericsson 850MHz hardware which the telco is using on their mobile towers and they expect an upgrade to fix it sometime in January. I don't know if this is 100% true, but it is what i have read
If I have a data session in progress it gets disconnected whilst a phone call is in progress (I can receive calls fine, although I have had one or two occasions when people have rung me and it's gone straight to voicemail without notifying me of the call). After I hang up, the data session is reestablished.
Using T-Mobile in the UK for what it's worth.
This is a very weird issue, sorry I can't offer any more info or advice.
I'm on T-mob Flext WnW and have the same issue. When I have my data connection established (either gprs or HSDPA) anyone that tries to call goes straight to voice mail. I can make a call which temporarily stops the data session and then re-establishes it after I hang up.
Is this a known issue on T-mob?
In the HTC faq, it is meantioned that the handset is a GPRS class B device:
http://www.europe.htc.com/support/faq.html?id=119
This means that the data-traffic is suspend for voice calls.
http://www.gsmworld.com/technology/gprs/class.shtml
(I haven't tested this with my HTC, but my Nokia 6260 did behave like this)
The HTC faq also states the full 3G operation ought to allow for simultaneous voice and data calls. I personally interpret this that calls are possible together with a UMTS connection (but I could be wrong).

For all with problems with connection while on data.
Most of us here have no problem with it, might be network you are logged, not fully compatible with class B.
My advice: check different phone (TyTN) if same occures, if yes then different handset (other brands). If it still is happening - call network and demand some explanations and upgades.
Still supporting my first post to hard reset device and check if without all software you have same problem.
And for the record - most of mobile operators calls this "Ring-through problem"
JUST FYI
Cingular says that for some reaosn streaming data (for my my slingbox) will not interupt. So phone always goes to voicemail.
Once I get the higherspeed data in my area this problem should go away.
This was posted by another in response to my question, and also confirmed when I called Cingular. Although it is possible we were both misinformed by support.

Problems Handling Phone Calls (Call Waiting, 3 way, etc.) Verizon S5 on AT&T Network

Problems Handling Phone Calls (Call Waiting, 3 way, etc.) Verizon S5 on AT&T Network
I recently bought a used Verizon Galaxy S5 (SM-G900V). It came with the lollipop OS. From the outset, I had problems with phone calls, text messaging.
1. When I'm in a call, I'm not able to dial (Like to enter numbers for automated systems).
*I solved this one by going to:
settings>applications>call>
Scroll down to DTMF tones and change setting to long.
2. When I'm in a call, I'm not able to click over to calls on call waiting. When I do try to click over, I still hear the original call for a few seconds and then both calls drop and I get an error message that says "no sim or invalid sim". If I don't answer the call, both calls drop and I get the same message. The same thing happens if a try to make a 3 way call.
3. If someone calls me and I try to call them back, the call redirects to turn it into an international call and the call doesn't go through.
*I solved this using an app called prefixer
4. If I try to text message someone who called me, I get an error message back saying the phone number is invalid.
I figured I would have to root my phone to be able to make some custom changes. I first had to downgrade to kitkat (android 4.4.2) and root it and then upgrade with root using some very helpful posts and resources found on this site (thanks). When I downgraded, problems 1 and 2 went away (for number 1, I had to change my network mode, but that solution didn't work when I went back to lollipop). After upgrading beack to lollipop, all of these problems were there, though I was able to resolve 2 of them, the other 2 are problematic.
I think theres a problem with the way the phone is handling the AT&T network signal since they have a different type of network from verizon but i don't know. I need some help please. Has anyone encountered these kinds of problems and solved them. Thanks

S5 Neo sometimes can't receive incoming calls

Hello fellas,
I recently bought a new S5 neo but I'm having this strange issue.
Sometimes i can't receive incoming calls. The person who calls me gets the "The users phone is turned off or its out of range" message. And i dont receive any notification that somebody was calling me (btw i dont have a voicemail on)
The thing is i have good receipton, i turned off call baring, voice forwarding etc.. but still sometimes my friends can't reach me althou im in range.
Could it be that my phone goes into some kind of deepsleep and ignores everything ? Faulty antenna ? Or maybe i have to manual setup the network operator .. im out of ideas..
Anything will be appreciated
Thanks!
It seems that, when i call somebody the problem goes away for a couple of hours. As if it "reconnects" to the network..

Random carrier loss on phone calls

Hi @All
When I'm making a phone call all of the sudden the phone drops all connectivity.
It interrupts the call with a beeping sound and then the message "mobile network not available" pops up.
But not only is the mobile network gone, but also wifi.
After a few seconds the connection to the carrier is established again and I can repeat the phone call.
Sometimes it then works but often I get the next connection loss.
I'm facing this problem on my 6t now already for a while.
I hoped to get rid of this problem by updating the phone to the latest Oxygen OS version - but without success. The problem remains.
Is anyone else facing the same problem and knows if this could be a hardware or softwae related problem?
Thanks in advance
Bastian
