Hi!
This is TWRP 3.0.2-r5 for Idol 3 [4.7] 6039 version.
This was moved to this post: https://forum.xda-developers.com/id...-r5-idol-3-t3572607/post71416624#post71416624
Enjoy it!

i don't have the 4.7 version, but i just want to say, nice theme
it is based on the dimonka one? it would work on the 5.5too in that case (i could just change the ro.product.model in default.prop)

I have no certainty . But if my brother can go from ubuntu to Flyme I think we can do the same from the international version of the phone .
You cant put ubuntu on flyme meizu mx4. It is only for ubuntu mx4. If you have ubuntu mx4 you can put flyme, and not vice versa
But so we can put flyme on ubuntu mx4 isn't logic we can't go from flyme to ubuntu.

The phone aren't loked like normal MX4. More then 1 user in the Meizu Forum write a method for install FLyme on Ubuntu Edition, just check and watch the photos (the imei is the same)
MX4 Ubuntu to Flyme 4.1.1A
The method mentioned https:// lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone/msg13848.html works, but as referred, for the moment, you can't upgrade from Flyme 4.1.1A.
I've tested with a EU phone (made in china, shipped from Italy).
- 1.st activate adb in Ubuntu Phone (System Settings, About this Phone, Developer Mode)
If linux adb desktop also add "x2a45" to .android/adb_usb.ini
- Download adb.zip referred in the chinese URL, recovery.img is inside
- After Flyme rom installed.... recovery will be back to Flyme recovery
"you can't upgrade from Flyme 4.1.1A.!"
I care they have different MBR
I have an MX4 Ubuntu Edition, and noticed that there is an Android folder.
what does it mean? can we have dual boot?
I also have the international version, can I install ubuntu?

Hey!
I went through almost every firmware of Flyme MX4, and the only working version was as "ruilapa" mentioned Flyme 4.1.1A. But, I didn't give up and keep trying until I got Flyme 4.0.4A working perfectly with my MX4 Ubuntu M461 phone, and most importantly that I got an OTA upgrade to 4.2.8.2A :good:
So now, I am running Flyme OS 4.2.8.2A Android 4.4.2 on my MX4 Ubuntu Edition

Could you please share a detailed instruction how-to flash Flyme on MX4 M461. Where did you find Flyme 4.0.4A? Was the Flyme 4.0.4A working really perfectly, as the guy from launchpad had some issue with colors: lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone/msg14056.html
Thank you in advance!

I have followed the instructors in this link lists.launchpad.net/ubuntu-phone/msg13848. html , and got the recovery.img of Flyme from the internet.
I also had a look at that guy in the link that you mentioned, but for me, Flyme 4.0.4I didn't work for me, but Flyme 4.0.4A worked instead.
Got the 4.0.4A from the following link

Will provide some screenshots of my phone later when I arrive home.

Huawei P8lite (ALE-L21) Kernel Sources???

Hi there, is there any chance we could see kernel sources for the Huawei P8lite ALE-L21 (International Kirin 620 variant) soon? I'm thinking of buying this phone and hoping to develop some custom roms (Like Cyanogenmod) for the P8lite and Im aware that the kernel sources are out for the ALE-L04 (US Snapdragon 615 variant). Its the lack of kernel sources that are putting me off buying this phone
Honor 4c source
I searched the whole internet but didn't find sourcecode or roms
i only found the sourcecode of honor 4c ( CHM-U01 ) it has almost the same specs .. the same chipset only diffrences in battery and in internal storage
if you can use it to build roms you can find it on huawei's site (EMUI download page)

Thanks but I would be very reluctant to use another phone's kernel sources for this phone because of the difference in sensors and partitions and the fact that the Honour 4C is still on 4.4.2 KitKat
TWRP
there's a custom recovery released for the device here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/development/testing-twrp-2-8-7-x-huawei-p8lite-qcom-t3187758

Its great to see TWRP for this device but without the kernel source, it will be nearly impossible to build CM from source unless you have amazingly good development skills, which I dont have.
Kernel sources are out!

Nothing really to be sad about. Those chips never get kernel source.
So no custom roms for our little huawei p8 lite?

Official rom for idol 3 (tcl i806) available now. :)

Hi guys,
I was browsing anonymously, and found that official rom is now available on needrom for tcl i806, which is same as our idol 3 (5.5), i think so. It can be useful for rom development. Right now i havnt downloaded it as i am in office and will lookafter it in evening after reaching home.

Its for idol 3 (4.7) not for 5.5

On AliExpress (chinese Alibaba group) it is presented as the 5.5 version. See www.aliexpress.com/store/product/New-TCL-Idol-3-TCL-i806-4G-Fdd-Lte-Octa-Core-1-5G-Dual-Sim-5/405007_32448918754.html
This being said, I would be extremely cautious with this version, as the i806 seems to be aimed at the chinese market (see This article), so you can't be sure about 4G compatibility in other countries.
But on needrom, its highlighted only for msm8916 and mine idol 3 (5.5) is msm8939

Again, I wouldn't play with this. If you want an up-to-date ROM, depending on your country, just head over to this XDA thread : [6045] If you want to be able to install OTA updates after root READ THIS!
Enjoy !

FAQs-
1- Works on MIUI8?
It doesn't work on MIUI8, Kindly update it to the latest firmware and flash this.
2- On custom roms?
For custom roms either this function is already there( if it's not why are you still on it, come back to stock guys, it's quite nice here.) or you can use the Trusted Face Unlock from google( For near vanilla roms).
3- On other Devices?
Regarding any other device, I really don't know.
4- Trouble after flashing this?
If you are facing problem after flashing this, kindly dirty flash the rom again and try this, most likely your earlier mods to firmware are causing trouble.

I am running MIUI Global 9.2 Stable (9.2.1.0 NCFMIEK).
Flashed the file and upon rebooting, I couldn't go past the boot animation (3 dots).
Though considering others here had better luck, confirming it's working for others, maybe it's something I've done prior to this that's conflicting.
Work perfect on Global beta 8.2.8. Thanks for this great feature

You might have done something wrong before flashing the zip. I can confirm that after flashing this zip I've been able to use face unlock on my Redmi Note 4. I have MIUI 9.2.2.0 Nightly.

Rom development?

Is there any ROM development for the note 7?
I would have thought with sources released a little while we would have started to see a few builds start to pop up?
I know im being a bit of a begging chooser here (as i ask being fully aware i cant contribute any expertise to any project.
Only GSIs for now. And i think there will be none custom roms...only a chinese TWRP.

I think because of the same device codename, a custom ROM for "lavender" will have camera drivers, patches for both Redmi Note 7 Global/China and Redmi Note 7 India.
