to be honest, when i cant find any other reviews... then suddenly theres a really positive review, that makes me really skeptical...

That's the stuff I used in my bathroom to frost my windows... I got it wet and slid it on.. used a squeegee and flattened it all out and 3 years later is is still sticking there.
The difference is that this is
1.) Clear
2.) Cut into the proper shape (you could do this yourself with some measuring but it saves hassle)
3.) the squeegee is probably smaller.
My bathroom windows are in a VERY humid environment... I have never had ANY peeling.
However I don't keep my bathroom windows in my pocket... so I don't know if the corners will peel up.
My main point is that for $24 of this "film" to cover a TINY phone... you can buy the same thing for $18 that would cover 10 phones... if the product works fantastic... the profit margin for them is HUGE. If it doesn't work... it's the biggest rip off ever.
See if Gila makes a clear one... get $18 worth and tinker away.

I've seen them used on iPhones, hard to put on but once it's on, it stays.

Since you've had the Fuze already... Is the shape exactly the same as the TP? It looks like sprints version is a little more round along the corners. I'd Like to go ahead and purchase one of these for the Fuze but don't want to have to send it back.

The only difference I noticed when seeing the 2 up next to each other was the shape of the speaker hole on the back, that might be enough to throw the protection off. Ask Raspster about it more, he had both the European and the Fuze at the same time, so he could tell you better than I could.

Exactly as described above. Its a bit fiddly getting on but once on, it sticks very well.
Its great at sticking to flat surfaces, not so good on curves. And they don't even try and cover the corners on the device, which I would think are the places I'd want protected if I was to drop it.
The texture makes the back look very different from normal; its much nicer without the cover on. On the front, you can't really see the cover at all; edges are perfectly aligned with the phones edges.
The back and the front of the phone are covered very well. Sides not so great. Corners not at all. Front looks good. Back looks crap.
My opinion, its no way worth $24
just got mine on Friday exactly as it's described, protects almost every part of the phone with their cut out plastic shield, however as mentioned in earlier post... doesn't really cover the edges, all in all... does really stick and so far looks pretty ok with the exception of little bubbles within the shield (poor application technique)

Is it easy to peel it off without tearing the phone's original casing? Especially the back cover. I just ordered mine, hope it arrives soon.

I have used the Zagg's products (formerly Invisible Shield) on my 6800, 6700, wifes Centro and even custom ordered for my Pioneer 6800DVD in my car. I really like the product, the service is second to none... That said, I think since I have used the product and know how it performs in pockets, and how to install correctly (installed dozens of shields for myself, family and friends), I may try this new product.
Screen protection has always been great and flat surfaces (side) great as well but the corners usually give way, slide and start to bubble after about 4 months of heavy in and out of the pocket use.
This is a $24 experiment begging to happen.... now if Sprint would just release the damn phone!
I would also like to know this. Can it be removed again without leaving marks on the phone?
How scratch proof is it really?
Because of the lack of info on the site (still no video's on how to apply the thing, their forum is just about empty and they don't reply to customer questions...) they really don't seem to thrustworthy ...

I would get the one released by Zagg. They offer a lifetime replacement on all products and they will replace it no questions I know. Their stuff is nearly impossible to scratch and I TRIED just about everything to scratch it. All phones full covers are $25. Never had any bubbling issues with Zagg's products.
yes it can easily be removed without any mark left at all....I found the cover started to collect dusk a lot (it must be slightly sticky) so I removed it.

Trust me, I know oh too well the replacement process and have replaced and installed many over the last 5 years.
The fact that I know the Zagg product so well, makes the experiment more interesting. I know the Zagg stuff so well that I will know if this Clear Coat stands a chance AND since it's only $25... It might turn out to be junk, the company could not stand behind the guarantee BUT we'll see.

Just got my phone yesterday and I just ordered the Clear Coat. I'll install and do a little initial write up. I'll order the Zagg shield when it becomes available and do a comparison.
It's only money and it IS a $700 device.... (but I only paid $250 for it)

Just ordered a Zagg full body shield at 40% off as they just got them and were doing a Halloween special I guess. I should have the Cleat Coat on Mon/Tues and the Zagg will probably be here the week after. I think I'll install the Clear Coat first, use it for a week or so and then install the Zagg and do the same.

Just like the topic. Do you think you need screen protector or tempered glass? I had awful experience with S6 Edge when trying to use screen protector and curved tempered glass.
I don't have the phone yet, but I have an HTC one m8 and I haven't been using a case or screen protector for as long as I can remember. I have no damage or scratches to the screen whatsoever, and this is Gorilla Glass 3, I would think the Gorilla Glass 4 on the S7 edge would be much better.
Based on tests I've seen on YouTube, the screen appears to be very good at resisting scratches. I'll still be using a screen protector to be on the safe side,.
Yeah, I don't like screen protector. However, the phone is really hard to fix this though. So I wouldn't take the risk.
I have always used some sort of screen protection on all my phones however this time around I'm gonna go naked. I think it will take away some of the wow of the handset.
Yes, absolutely no doubt. Just the tiniest of marks on a screen bother the hell out of me, so I put a screen protector on and change it once every month or two. Pity the glass ones on curved screen phones never make the grade and don't sit properly.

I have used tempered glass as well .. but if they are not good on S7 Edge ... what we gonna use this time. Don't fancy putting on the tacky plastic ones
I've checked out videos of traditional film protectors being applied to the S6 Edge, and it seems a tricky process but one that, if done properly, will result in a very good finish. I've been my family and friends go to for applying screen protectors for years, so I'm confident I'll get them on ok.

Told you mate, get on the phone to them now. They're so utterly useless, you won't find out there is an issue with your order until it's not delivered by the 11th and you call them to find out where it is. By which time you will need to wait another couple of weeks. And don't use Live Chat.
Despite what I was told this morning, I have zero confidence I'll get mine and the wife's handsets by the 11th.
I'm using one. All it takes is one little piece of sand, or a sliding drop on concrete.
Normally, I prefer tempered glass. We'll see if any good ones become available soon. For now, I'm using the Skinomi. I put it on Tuesday night, and wow did it look like crap. 24 hours later, though, it looked really good. And now, even better. Strange magic.

Sounds like what I was told on Tuesday via live chat with someone in India I think. I'm not sure if it makes a difference, but the woman I spoke to this morning was in the UK, and when I brought up what I'd been told on Live Chat, she specifically stated that Live Chat is always with someone in another country, as if that made a difference. Perhaps the information they have access to is different? Either way, we're off topic in this thread so fingers crossed you get yours on the 8th. I suspect that will be before mine, despite my call this morning.

I also do not like to use screen protector. I do not use one on my ipad. However, for a phone which are more likely to be put into a pocket with keys and other hard object, I do think it is wise to use one . Also, it all depends on how you use your phone.
I have used "ArmorSuit MilitaryShield" brand of protector on my Camera screen (LX100) and on my Microsoft Band 2 screen. And i don't even notice I have a protective film on those screens, it does not make the screen feel tacky. A side benefit of having the protector on my Band is the finger print doesn't seem to be a problem anymore.
Definitely should. No matter what Gorilla Glass version it uses, you will always get hairline scratches. Always. No matter how careful you are.

I have the Note 5 currently and on the front I have the Mime Feather+ Glass screen protector. Amazing stuff. Highly recommended. However though, I may opt for a film screen protector to start until Mime comes out with an all clear glass in the Feather+ line. I looked at their S6 Edge product line and they only have the Feather Glass and the glass have different colors along the top, sides and bottom; I want an all clear glass.
On the back of the phone, I've used a film protector called Clear Coat. My local phone dealer uses Clear Coat so I had them put it on for me. It's super thin, edge to edge, and feels great. I may have them put it on the front for me as well when I get my S7 Edge.

But drop that phone onto a hard surface (which even the most careful person does occasionally) and that nice Clear Coat protection on the back may as well not be there. Unless you're very fortunate, you will have dents and marks on the outside edge or, worse, a cracked back or screen. The key for me is balancing the look and feel of a premium phone with protection. And a thin, transparent protecting cover like the Spigen Liquid Crystal is perfect for that. You keep the overall look of the phone, but combined with protection for all but the most severe accidents.
Just like most folks here wouldn't take the chance of running it naked. Have one on its way. For now this would suffice http://www.amazon.com/dp/B01BG2EJYS/ref=pe_861660_138883610_fxm_4_0_n_id until there's a good TGSP out there! Hopefully, they'd come up with something really soon!

Good job man, yea I bought the active as well and wasn't seeing any threads pop up. I'm looking into finding exploits to unlock the bootloader right now.
I wish I had the type of skills for software development but I have none. What I can contribute is some experience with accessories I've tried and general use type of feedback.
I've bought a couple of cases for circumstances that warrant additional protection even though I usually carry the phone without one. I have the Otterbox Defender and I also bought a Bodyguardz case. I had a Zagg Glass protector installed and it works perfectly. Also, the naked s7 active fits perfectly in my old Seidio holster for my cased s5 and my old Note 4 holster fits perfectly on my s7 Active when I have it in the Bodyguardz case.

If you get this, but a screen protector IMMEDIATELY! In less than a week just carrying it in my pocket, the screen has some pretty significant scratches in it. The "shatterproof" plastic layer over the glass screen scratches extremely easy!
I'll be exchanging mine and applying a screen protector to the new one immediately, that being said... does anyone have any real life pictures of the gold? I'm debating exchanging my grey one for a gold one.
Other than that, I LOVE THE PHONE and wouldn't hesitate to pay the $100 premium over the standard S7 and definitely prefer it over the S7 Edge! Battery life is BEAST!

Good question. I haven't used the Otterbox since I got the screen protector installed because I only use it when extreme protection is required (at work). I'm on vacation right now but I'll test it when I get back to work. The Bodyguardz case works just fine with it though.

Nice video! Remind you of what the S7A can do. I put a screen protector on mine pretty quickly and managed a few weeks without any scratches while waiting for them to arrive.
Wasn't aware of the plastic outer-layer on the screen vs the glass on the regular S7s - obviously this is how they get the shatterproof rating.

I can vouch for the need to get a screen protector. I had mine for 5 days before the glass protector came in (Dmax Armor from Amazon) - and I have a hairline scratch in one small area of the screen.
It's so small an not even noticeable with the protector on that I'm too lazy to replace the phone - but to anyone else, don't even use the phone until you have a protector on the screen.
I work for the phone company so my working conditions are a little rough, but mine looked pretty bad after a week.

Okay can confirm S7 Active water-resistant capabilities. Recently, on vaction in the gulf Mexico I decided to test my phone's IP-68 rating. I was on the beach and had some sand on the screen and needed to wash it off. I proceeded to the crashing waves and doused it in the ocean. I took some video which looked really good and had it in there for about a minute. Now I really put no thought to the whole salt=corrosive thing until after the fact. I dried it off with a towel shortly after and found the speaker muffled. Now this concerned me a little and read up on some articles about the regular S7's capabilities. Some reviews claimed it would permanently damage the speaker and that salt water was especially not recommended for fear of corrosion of the various ports. There were refutes on reddit about these facts but it didn't sound like they had ever tried it themselves. This is when the fear set in. I sat there on the beach with 5% charge left knowing already I couldn't charge my phone for a few hours until the moisture cleared out of the micro-usb port. This meant not knowing for HOURS whether the speaker would ever come back to normal and even if I could charge it may still be hours until it indeed does go back to normal. I decided on washing out the salt water with a tap water sink as recommended by Samsumg New Zealand in their ad about using the reg S7 for surfing. So, I finally was able to charge about 3 hours later and it still had a muffled. This sent me into a scare as I didn't want to ruin this brand new piece of expensive tech so quickly. I tried a method from reddit of sucking out the water and this definitely did help but it wasn't a complete solution, still muffled and crackling at the top end. Everything else worked at this point but microphone experienced muffling as well. The next morning I tried the audio and to my great relief it was fine along with everything else. I recommend not purposely exposing your S7 Active to anything but fresh water because Samsung did not test for corrosive characteristics that come with salt or chlorine pools or anything along those lines. But if you are trying to get an awesome shot of a coral reef definitely try to get iy as permanent damage is not likely as long as you stay in for a reasonable time and depth. Goodluck guys and share your experiences as well.

What a coincidence! So do I. That's one of the reasons I use an Otterbox Defender at times. If the phone is going up a telephone pole with me I want it to survive a 30 foot drop lol.

I also got a hairline scratch that you mentioned. I don't know when though. I literally had the phone in my pocket and still got the scratch. WTF?

I got mine from Best Buy and was having issues with the first one staying connected to my bluetooth headset, so I insisted on an exchange. No issues.

Ditto to the Screen Protector comment. If you have an Active, get a glass screen protector ASAP. Polycarbonate is great for durability, but NOT scuff or scratch resistance whatsoever.
Heres my S7 Active in Gold, with an $8 Supershieldz (2 pack) glass screen protector and an $8 Cimo TPU clear cover... Also a brief synopsis and review...

Camera
The camera is excellent, has approximately 11-11.5 stops of dynamic range (in RAW, obviously), and the OIS is fantastic. Very sharp (again in RAW) optics as well; about up there with my ancient Nikon D300 ($1700 new) with the excellent 18-200VR ($700 new) lens attached in terms of sharpness, BARELY less dynamic range, and the OIS works just as well as the Nikon VR lenses i own; highly impressed actually. VERY good low light, very low noise and no discernable noise pattern. I have not shot anything in JPEG; I usually drag a BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera with a Panasonic Lumix OIS 12-35 f2.8 lens around as well as my Nikon D300 with assorted stabilized zooms and prime optics as well, as i shoot and film everything in RAW (i filmed and shot ads, corp videos, music videos, etc professionally for several years). The S7 Active does NOT shoot RAW video, but one might be able to downsample 4k footage to a decent bitrate 1080p with very good results and much higher bitrates to play with. Dynamic range is limited in JPEG from what i've seen, although HDR more works pretty darn decently, in both video and photo modes. OIS is ALWAYS on, and AF tracking works pretty good; about the same as 3D Tracking on the Nikon D300, just a hair slower. AF is fast and accurate, nowhere near DSLR's, but WAY faster than most phones, and WAY faster and more accurate than 'Focus' push on the Blackmagic Pocket camera ($1,000 camera with an $800 stabilized lens), but that is to be expected from a camera you usually rig up and manually pull focus on anyways. Granted, both the BMD Pocket Camera and Nikon D300 are semi-professional cameras, aimed at professional/semi pro uses, designed to shoot RAW reliably, but the comparison came to mind and its worthwhile, as the quality is on par with them within reasonable use and expectations. Oh, and neither is water resistant, and the lenses certainly are not! Background pic i shot with the S7 Active; water condensation over a backlit chilled display case.

I have disabled all bloatware via paid app Package Disabler Pro (Samsung), tweaked and tested it out since launch day; it really does easily last about 30 hours with moderate use once tweaked; with most useful options enabled (even S-voice, NFC, Always-On Display and GPS). I have access to a totally vanilla, unmodified/untweaked S7 Active that i bought for my parents to compare with; GSAM battery stats etc, for a wholistic 'Out Of Box' vs tweaked comparison.
Ideally, and mostly for app/settings backup/misc tweaks, id like to see the S7 Active rooted, but i dont feel its entirely needed, all things considered. Mine is now SIM unlocked via AT&T and i have all bloatware disabled, greenified, and tweaked for even better battery life as well as a simple, smooth, one page launcher/one page dock to keep things nice, neat and clean. I travel a lot for work, sport, and vacations.
This appears to be the first fully featured, ruggedized flagship with no compromises (aside from locked to GSM and initially via AT&T only), but otherwise i have found no real faults. I prefer plastics and rubber over glass and metal; they tend to last longer and survive far better than pretty/elegant/unique metal/glass designs. I paid for it outright, and AT&T kindly sent me the SIM unlock code 2 days after i requested it, for free, as i am travelling to France, Greece, and Russia shortly to visit family and friends. I had a few friends who have had S4, S5, and S6 Actives and loved them, although 2 friends did manage to crack the screens on previous Active devices dropping them. Based on recent youtube stuff, i cant see that happening as frequently with the S7 Active due to the plastic laminated screen, though it will scratch easier.
just to clarify some specs, the screen is actually a laminate of polycarbonate plastic on top of Gorilla Glass 4, so while it is much improved in terms of shatter resistance, it is MUCH more prone to scratches, i highly recommend a glass screen protector so you dont scratch up the polycarb screen. I bought a SuperShieldz 2 pack for $8 that works great. the laminate plastic is NOT removable, so once scratched, its there permanently. A cheap case isnt a bad idea either, i bought a clear Cimo TPU cover for $8 for the hell of it.
I have never broken a screen yet, but i had dropped my phones a few times, never used screen protectors or cases/covers either, but figured for a few bucks, considering im much more into kayaking, hiking, biking, and skiing now, why the hell not? its a big device as is, and the battery actually holds up great; i have been consistently seeing 30 hours of battery life between charges, which is enough to get me through 2 days of moderate to heavy use in areas with terrible signal and no wi-fi.
Advanced tweaks, accessories
Adoptable storage really isnt needed; it CAN be done, but there's no going back besides a factory reset if you want things to work properly. I tried it for 3 days, and eventually reset and went back to external portable storage, and transferred all apps, data, pics, etc to ExtSD as well as scripted an auto transfer of all videos, pics, downloads, etc from internal to external storage nightly onto the 200GB microSD card i bought with Tasker. Also, im paranoid about wearing out the micro USB port as i did (twice) with my S4, so i bought a Samsung Fast Wireless Charger. Its just as fast as the regular, wired fast charger you get in the box, plus its basically just a tilted disc cradle with a Fast Charger plugged into it; same cable and power brick as the S7 Active charger you get in the box, so if, for whatever reason, you prefer wired charging (it does warm up a bit), or need a USB data transfer cable, the Fast Wireless Charger is the same thing, with the added wireless disc/cradle
The cheap clear TPU case and equally cheap (2 pack) glass screen protectors i bought are completely worth it. I prefer TPU for covers (i dont do cases; too bulky, and have typically been a nudist when it comes to phones); rubber collects every spec of dust and lint, silicone stretches too much and also collects lint, plastic transfers too much shock and is not flexible, TPU is JUST RIGHT for a phone cover, and with the S7 Active, you don't need a case, but just as added protection, a TPU cover is perfect. Do, however, get a glass screen cover; sensitivity/feedback is identical, zero bubbles/issues if applied properly, and your screen will stay perfect, again within reason. TPU also is rather slip resistant, which is nice, considering the metal parts of the frame are rather slippery, and the rubberized plastic is not that grippy, whereas TPU provides almost the same coefficient of friction as proper rubber cases, in wider temperatures, as well as being less prone to UV degradation and tearing over time.
Active exclusive features
The Active key is probably the best feature aside from durability (after you put on a screen protector, and maybe a cover/case), as its fully programmable to whatever app you like, which in my case is keyed to Camera on single press for normal or quick shots, and A-Light on long press, as i have the Active/S-Health setup elsewhere, and use Camera FV-5 for more natural control over shooting in RAW. The 4000Mah battery is also a huge bonus; zero complaints; with proper power management app settings and some tweaks, i haven't seen under 30 hours of medium to heavy usage, in areas with no wifi and low signal as well.
Tested Durability
While i dont like needlessly subjecting perfectly good electronics wastefully to redundant durability tests, i have washed the phone, with and without a screen protector (before it came), and TPU case (before and after it came), with windex, water, as well as shampoo, soap and water. I don't like to stress the micro USB port (S4 micro USB port died on me twice, though it was easy to get to and replace), so i bought a wireless charger. I am pretty careful with my electronics, but bumps, falls, etc happen; and i travel, bike, hike, kayak, etc as much as i can, and im glad i dont have to worry or baby this device.
Overall Impressions
Aside from being AT&T carrier locked (meaning you'd have to buy it outright and ask AT&T to unlock it, which they always have for me, or get it unlocked elsewhere), the bloatware is easily disabled, the features are on par with the S7/S7 Edge (minus Edge features), the battery is larger, the Active key (again, totally reprogrammable) is solid gold, and both the screen and camera are protected by a tiny lip, as well as rubberized corners, so damage is less likely, although the screen is polycarbonate covered, so prone to scuffs and scratches, however with a cheap screen protector and a cheap cover, these issues are totally mitigated.
Images are from a Galaxy S4, and the S7 Active shown has the aforementioned screen protector and TPU cover attached. Apologies for any linguistic discrepancies or errors; English is not my native tongue.

Help me out here bro's .. for a whole week i have watched hundreds of reviews and drop tests etc , i like the S7 Edge but i am terrified of that glass screen on the front side cracking by itself without drops acording to many people on the web, i normally use cases on all my phones but with this model i'm afraid that its edge will be easy to crack if dropped in a certain position with a case , it is not a cheap phone and if i pay this much i want to be sure that is a bit tough and won't have to be in service centers a hundred times , what are your experiences with it , i am stressing between S7 Edge and the HTC 10 full metal body and its resistance Thanks.
I had same hesitations as you have even with a spigen tough armor case. I have broken a S6 edge plus in past and vowed not to buy a edge phone. Stayed long time with My Note4, the longest phone i have ever kept for 2 years.
S7 Edge is fragile. and if u are not careful yes you will break the screen if u have fumbling hands like me. I have bought a Otterbox Defender case for my s7 edge. it looks bigger, feels heavy, touch might not be as smooth as one without a case
The best reason for otterbox defender was built in screen protector, its not glass mind you but work fine. I dropped my phone from around 4ft height but not even a single scratch on the case or phone...
That is the only case i use most of the time , although i have 4 more like Spigen Tough Armor, and the Original flip cover, but im not a fan of flipcovers, not my taste. I also have Samsung Accidental Warranty replacment for screen 1 time if i break it
The warranty plus the otterbox for me was the only combo that makes me feel safe.
Many would disagree and say they think its best not to use screen protector and have the best of edge screen. But a little compromise makes me feel comfortable to throw around my phone on table , in car , on bed etc without worrying that i might break it.
So in the end other cases can give u Semi type protection. but be careful as if it falls on floor u will surely damage the phone... I have no regrets . amazing phone , killer camera and screen on time. i get around 6 to 7 hours screen on time mostly

So far not even a scratch on my s7 edge. Even after like 2-3 drops maybe. It is a really durable phone. Everything is nice and solid. Best phone I had so far. Even Note 4 had a unbreakable glass, as well as Galaxy S6. But S7 Edge has the best glass out of them all.
i have been using a Spigen Crystal Shell on my S7 edge since day 1. Brilliant protection. Haven't dropped the phone thankfully yet but the crystal shell has these air cushion bumps that are pronounced on all 4 corners.
i have mine in a vrsdesign case, got it from amazon for under £10, and with my job im constantly climbing in /out on top and under machines, and mines hasnt broke i think theyre more durable than people think, just look after it properly, too many people are careless with devices these days

As for the screen glass, it doesn't crack on it's own. It never has, and never will.
If you worry about that, you may as well not buy any phone in case it smashes.
I've never had a screen protector or case on any of my flagship smartphones, for the last 10 years or so, and never had a smashed screen.
I've even dropped my S7E a few times onto concrete, and barely left a mark.
Mine broke on its own. but don't worry, its only $260 to replace it by samsuck and it will no longer be water resistant.

Sorry but I just can't see how that would ever happen with Gorilla Glass 4.
My S7 Edge Lens cover broke on its own. And the display cracked on the edge recently. Still working perfectly as the shattered pieces are held together by the ScreenGuard - Best ScreenGuard by GadgetzShield.
They don't break in their own unless you put pressure on the screens or your phone is faulty and overheating. Does mine a few times with a Spigen case and it's all good. Maybe there are imperfections in the glass as edge screens are not perfectly flat and hard to make. Each one is unique.

Yes. The Display edge cracked on fall. The camera lens cover is fragile.
It is doubtful that you need another person telling you that the phone is worthwhile, but I'm going to anyway
As mentioned previously, Gorilla Glass 4 is very durable. NO phone is meant to be dropped without consequence, save for maybe the "Active" series. That said, I just received my Spigen Neo Hybrid Crystal case, and I threw on a Skinomi tech skin (for cases, not full coverage).
I too watched a ton of videos, looked at a lot of case reviews, etc. Many of which showed shattered backs, cracks, etc. I'm extremely careful with my devices because I believe in only buying them once. I'm not careless enough to drop my phone from 20 feet, or something ridiculous like that. If you are a normal person, who takes care of their electronics, the demise of this phone need not be feared.
I have a s7 edge and my only concern is that at some point Samsung will decide that it will not update the software any more or bring software features which will come to the newer devices. The hardware is great. The update policy is bad and it makes you feel like you have an old device even if the hardware is perfectly fine.

I have now purchased a Samsung S9+ with the latest Clear View case and guess what? Same thing. After 1 day of fitting it, my screen is scratched. Luckily, based on my previous experience with this type of case, i was more aware of potential damage to the screen and kept on monitoring it until the first scratch and tiny hole appeared on my screen. I really had high hopes that Samsung learned from their mistake and manufactured a better case with different materials, which by the looks of it, it does look like it was made using different materials, however, Samsung failed to really put these cases through normal usage tests before releasing them to the public.
Anyone else noticed this?
Using it for last couple of months and find no issue whtsoever .. No scratches or anything ..
All it takes is one piece of something abrasive to get stuck between the cover and the screen to scratch it.. I'd use a screen protector with a case like that.
My friend put one on his S8+, screen is scratched too, I'd guess something got in there while it was in his pocket.
My friend has the same issue with his clear view case... He's now using a 3rd party case instead.

I bought my note9 together with Samsung clear view case and screen protector. Screen protector applied right after phone unboxing. So, even a clear view case is used, it is good to put as well a screen ptotector.
My first Samsung was Galaxy 7. I got a very good in-store rebate of $250, for a 2 yr old G3! I always keep my stuff for the most part, pristine. I take pride in that. Got a bluetooth speaker, screen protector, and then a cheaper incipio case. I have to say that the incipio is a very durable brand. I have an s9 plus now and still bought one of those. I have dropped my phone a few times where i thought it was going to be cracked, but it came through every time. It is open faced, but i used cellhelmet w/gorilla glass 6, and not one scratch. I also purchased a belt case. Really decent case as well. I could never see getting those bulky cases. If you don't know about the incipio, it comes in 2 pieces. A rubber inner shell, and a rubber coated ceramic outer shell. Sounds like it would be fragile? When snugs around the phone it reinforces the outer. ??
