BATTERY draining in sleep/standby mode - Lenovo Yoga Book Questions & Answers

Hi,
My Lenovo yoga book android version has a serious flaw.
Some software issue drains battery during sleep / standby mode and go hang. If this happens I am forced to press the on/off button 30 sec to soft reset the machine.
Have someone experienced a similar issue? Do you believe it is something related only to my machine?
Thanks in advance
Tommy

Yes, I have similar issue.
So far occurred 2 times (on one week).

Today I received a system update. (v170225).
I hope this solves the problem.
If not, it remains the hard reset.

Hi, I am beginning to think I have solved the issue. I have applied latest firmware update AND removed ES file manager app, and the yoga book works without issue since 24 hours..
Touching Woods ??

Did you ever figure out a solution to this problem? I've got the same issue. I've got a brand new Lenovo Yoga Book with Android Edition. As far as I know, there was a similar issue with the Windows 10 Models of the Yoga Book, but there is was a problem with the BIOS.
Android Devices don't have BIOS, yet what's the chance that the Android Yoga Books also have trouble waking up from Sleep Mode.
Whenever my Screen turns off, whether through Automatic Display Time or through the power button, I have to turn the screen back on within a couple of seconds, otherwise the Yoga Book goes into sleep mode and can only be woken up through a soft-reset by holding the power button 30 seconds. This is really annoying.
If anybody found a solution to this, please kindly let me know.
Thanks

Same here, any solutions?

Phone never sleeps

Help me please.
Until today everything was fine, than, I can't put the phone to sleep.
When I press the end key it comes black and after 1 second turns on again at the lockscreen. I can't put it into sleep mode with the screen off.
Neither in battery or plugged in charger.
I dis a hard reset, installed new ROM (Artemis) and new radio but nothing can solve the problem.
Do someone know what's happening ?
Sorry about my english.
Thank you all.
Additional information
When i conect and disconect the power cable it returns to normal, everything ok until next boot. If i reboot, the problems begins again.
Probably the last option but a hard reset will likely cure it.

No, after the hard reset nothing was installed.
The problem still exists even when I remove the sim and the SD.
But when I conect the power cabe (for a second) evererything is back to normal.
sounds like a hardware problem then.

Review: Samsung Tab 10.1v vs Ipad 1 (closed)

I have the chance to compare my 10.1v with an Ipad 1 so here is the first picture (both devices with medium brightness).
It'll be a work in progress. Tomorrow I'll have more time and I'll post a full review, with images and videos.
I'll post videos here.
Looking forward to seeing the review. I'm more interested in the 10.1 but the screen quality definitely interests me here.
i guess samsung tab should vs ipad 2
I don't have an Ipad 2, just the first one.
I returned my 10.1v, it became a brick.

What happened ?
As a stated on another thread, I played around for half an hour. Due to a lot of forced closes on browser, decided to turn off the device. It froze on "Do you want to shut down?".
Pressed a couple of times the power button and the first screen "Samsung GALAXY Tab 10.1v" appeared, but it never passed from there.
Tryed power + vol down and entered unlock mode with no problems. Pressed the power button to get out and restart, but same issue ocurred. The only way to turn it off is power + volume up and down for 10 secs.
I think even charging was affected, because when I plugged it, the symbol of a battery appeared, but nothing happened afterward.

early adopters penalty!
Are you getting it replaced? I'm sure it was just a dodgy unit. I've not heard of anyone else with that issue - the only issue that I know of is the light-bleed issue for which Vodafone AU have been replacing them.
I know of 2 Tabs here in Portugal whose screen, after 4 days of normal use, started malfunctioning. An error like mine, I never heard of it, not even in another tabs' fora.
I got a refund. Imagine if it happened again... The store might say I've been messing with something or trying to install custom Rom (there isn't any, I know eheh). My unit had bleeding too, I think they all have.

Accelerometer gone crazy. Calibration?

Every gyroscope app like cardboard move randomly.
I tried calibration with GPS status and no good result.
I was snowboarding with Zuk on my pocket. But anything important. Only a very little crash.

You're on stock Cyanogen OS. That sounds good. You could solve your problem entering manual testing mode.
Type *#*#1111#*#* then go to Manual Test - G Sensor Calibration, put your phone on a plane surface (plane to all directions!) and press the only existing button with chinese signs. After calibration, press pass and go back to leave Engineer Mode.
I can't repair my Zuk because I replaced recovery and also installed Cyanogenmod, and this code don't work for me.
I hope hear from you good news. And if you have any question here I am.
Good luck.

I am glad to hear that!
Now give me back the favour:
Just tell me how your Zuk got into this problem. Did you hit the phone. Some kind of crash.
Mine started to get crazy after a snowboarding fail.

I don't know exactly but I think come from the factory, I'm sure it never crashed.
my g sensor is way off too, with alot of drift in cardboard apps etc. i entered engineer mode as above and done the calibration, i get this fail message " test failed, please find the soft engineer"
it wont give me the option to press pass.
any idea on how to fix this??????
Just update your phone!
Before the update it didnt work either!
But since I update it to the newest fw, it all worked as it should!

S7 Edge freeze/crash

Hi everyone.
I am having a big problem with my phone, and since I messed up my warranty by rooting my phone, I am gonna try to find help here, and I really hope someone knows how to fix this issue.
So I got my S7 Edge this summer straight out of the box and it was working perfect. A couple of months after that it started freezing and restarting once every week or so, but I didnt think much of it. Slowly it was doing that more and more, until the point where the screen would freeze and the phone would restart 5 times a day. Shortly after it got stuck in a bootloop. I went to the store I bought it from but since a had a small scratch on the screen they wouldnt repair it without me paying for the screen change. Since it was a lot of money I tried to repair my phone at home by rooting my phone and installing a stock firmware. That didnt work so I installed a custom rom, that worked for a day but then it got back in the bootloop. Now I cant even be in TWRP without it freezing and restarting. My question to you guys is, has anyone had this issue (I hope not because its the worst) and is there any chance I could fix this myself?
I found this picture on google that resembles how my phone looks when it freezes/crashes. It gets these small pixel on the screen, not on the whole screen like in this picture, just on parts of the screen and on different parts everytime.

I have exactly the same problem. I think is somehow power related. Happens more frequently when phone is plugged in or when there's an increase in power consumption...
Is there a fix for it? I am having the same problem.
I found out that is the EMMC and the only fix is motherboard replacement... SAD

I guess you are right since the crashes were more frequent when I had a memory card in the slot. I thought that maybe my memory card was incompatible. But the eMMC seems to be the problem

Battery Drain (Android OS and Cell Standby)

Hi All,
not sure if this is normal (dont think so) but i have annoying battery drain and dont know what i can do to fix it.
My screen on time is around the 2hr 30 mins mark before i will need to recharge - ive seen people getting 6 hours some how??
ive uninstalled all useless apps, wiped cache and all the normal things but still not worked (even location services off)
I just had a look today on WakeLockDectector and it appears it has something to do with the google app?
Does anyone know a solution to this battery drain? - cell mobile radio seems to keep my phone awake??

You're not the only one. I'm struggling with it since I bought this bloody phone. Had even exchanged battery.
Facing the same problems as you do. Perhaps our models are broken somehow?
It's hard to say...
Anyway, no clue what's going on.
Same problem just started. Was doing great after factory reset but along the way it's slipped
