[Samsung S5 klte] Problem, button. - Galaxy S 5 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone.
I have a small problem, before long I had a new ROM, so I decided to change it to the original through odin.
But I was without the power button, it was broken. After the installation got stuck in the Samsung loop, is it possible to solve without the button? I need to get into recovery mode.
:good::good:

well, you can try to pull the battery and hold the vol and home button while putting the battery back in. the power button isnt really needed to get it into recovery or download other than making it start the sequence

I apologize
I did not realize what I meant.
Adb is not enabled. I changed the ROM to the original.
I can get into recovery mode, I just can not continue because the power button is broken. And I can not clear the cache.

[Q][SOLVED] How to boot into recovery using hardware buttons?

There have been some people telling that we can boot into recovery using HOME + POWER but unfortunately it won't work for me. It won't work for some other people too.. But since some people state it works! Im confused..
I wonder if I should flash fastboot with a different method(kdz).
Any help ın this?
Thanks!
Editt: flashing the kdz in this thread solved it
For me the hardware buttons work u need to press VolumeUp+Power+Home hit thanks if it worked
Long press Power, when it powers up press Home and don't release the Home button until it boots into recovery.

Do a battery pull first
try a different combination of keys ( Vol down+home+power or home+power )
Failing which use easy reboot recovery http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1796807

Thanks for your help. All those combos don't work for some reason. I am not sure how Easy Reboot Recovery would work since I believe the phone doesn't get recognized by the USB.

Did you ever get into to Download Mode or Recovery Mode before you stuck?
Yeah, I accessed the recovery with Vol Up + Power + Home, but only when the phone was booted up fully. He was trying to restore the old ROM in CWM but it gave him error flashing boot image, then he restarted the phone and got the bootloop problem, so theres no way to restart it into HBOOT. I will try your method xsenman, have to wait till sunday so the phone gets here. If anyone has some other tips, I would appreciate it.

May be you bricked your phone. You can try solutions mentioned below:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1134975
USB-jig FTW
It's not bricked..if you're seeing anything on the screen, it should be recoverable. And even hard bricked phone can be saved with the UnBrickablemod.
Sent from my GT-I9000 using Tapatalk 2
Okay heres the thing. Easy Reboot Recovery does nothing, just opens and closes, I guess since it kinda doesn't recognize the USB from the phone. Then I used SGS Rescue Kit, launched OneClick.jar, connected the phone, clicked unsoft brick and it said Sucessful, the phone started showing the Samsung logo, but then nothing happens. Tried Easy Reboot Recovery again, but nothing. Any ideas?
Can you still access download mod ( Volume Key down + Menu + Power ) ?
If yes you can download a stock ROM that includes PIT PDA PHONE CSC and BOOTLOADER files, this page contains links to all theses files :
http://www.androidgen.fr/tutoriel-s...id-gingerbread-2-3-6-odin-article-2110-2.html
Now once you download these files just start Odin and put:
s1_odin_20100512.pit in PIT
CODE_I9000XWJVZ_CL762604_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in PDA
MODEM_I9000XXJVT_REV_00_CL1064602.tar.md5 in MODEM
GT-I9000-CSC-HOME-MULTI-OXAJVT.tar.md5 in CSC
APBOOT_I9000XWJVZ_CL762604_REV03_user_low_ship.tar.md5 in BOOTLOADER
Make sure that "Re-Partition" is checked as shown in this Screenshot:

In the future, I would suggest posting questions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2192886 instead of making your own thread. Regardless, the shortcut for booting into download mode on a normal S4 is to simultaneously press down the Home, Volume Down and Power buttons. That "Chinese menu" may have been download mode and you didn't realize it. You should try plugging the phone in your PC and running Odin to check to see if it works as a download mode. Best of luck to you.

Well, if you can't figure you're way around this foreign download mode, you can always download GooManager from the Play Store. Within that app, you just press the menu button and then touch "Install OpenRecoverySript" and that'll automatically install TWRP for you.

Are you sure you are missing recovery? That's a normal image of recovery.
See: support.google[dot]com/nexus/answer/4596836?hl=en (rem [dot] add . I am too new to post links outside of site.)
If your tablet is on, turn it off.
1.Press and hold the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Power button at the same time until the tablet turns on. You'll see the word "Start" with an arrow around it.
2.Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight "Recovery mode."
3.Press the Power button to start Recovery mode. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words "No command."
4.While holding down the Power button, press the Volume Up button.
5.Use the volume buttons to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset," then press the Power button to select it.
6.Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data," then press the Power button to select it.
