[Q] Stock recovery missing - Nexus 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I had just flashed and unrooted my Nexus 7 2012 wifi model via the nexus root toolkit. The process was successful except my stock recovery is missing just an android bot is laying with an exclamation mark
Although I had flashed stock recovery via the nexus root toolkit but no luck. I'm doomed. Anyone has a solution ?

I just went through this. Read carefully and flash the factory image. Very simple.

Are you sure you are missing recovery? That's a normal image of recovery.
See: support.google[dot]com/nexus/answer/4596836?hl=en (rem [dot] add . I am too new to post links outside of site.)
If your tablet is on, turn it off.
1.Press and hold the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Power button at the same time until the tablet turns on. You'll see the word "Start" with an arrow around it.
2.Press the Volume Down button twice to highlight "Recovery mode."
3.Press the Power button to start Recovery mode. You'll see an image of an Android robot with a red exclamation mark and the words "No command."
4.While holding down the Power button, press the Volume Up button.
5.Use the volume buttons to scroll to "wipe data/factory reset," then press the Power button to select it.
6.Scroll down to "Yes - erase all user data," then press the Power button to select it.

Unlock the "muster"

Hello
i forgot the unlock "muster" not the password this other thing to unlock dont know in english sorry ...and i forgot my google account and now i cant unlock my phone...got any1 a idea?
greetz
Spini
Every idea consists of knowing your google account. Could be possible to retrieve things with adb from 2nt-intit.
and how i do this ? or root it ? but i cant install usb driver or so...
First google how to get/use adb.
Then search how to disable the lock u have.
f.i. sim lock: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1409304
Then go to 2nt-init (blue let on startup => vol down) => something with adb
....
....
Could always flash your sbf again check before you flash, should clear it up, or normally you can call your provider if you've forgotten your pin code ask them for a PUK (its basically the back up pin)
Good luck

I think he means the unlock pattern. If you are on stock rom, your only option is to do a factory reset. (see all in defy beginners guide how to wipe data). But then you lose ALL your data.
If you're on CM7, I think you can do it without loosing a thing.
its the pattern...i try to get into the recovery modus yeah i am on the stock rom...but when i try to get into the recovery modus i get a bad symbole..i cant enter it :/
Do you mean the android and the triangle? Volume + and volume - at same time should get you the options,
Having just tried everything I can think of, data wipe and restore for contacts ect, your stuck with a factory reset
teamwork makes the dream work
yeah this..u are right..but how i factory reset it when i cant enter the recovery and i cant enter into the phone ?
From the All-in-one Defy Beginners guide:
How do I enter Recovery Mode?!: With the Phone off press VOLUME DOWN then, while still pressed, power up the phone and leave VOL key pressed until you see a Yellow triangle, once you see this you are in Recovery now press Vol Up and Vol Down at the same time (if you are in Froyo) and the menu will appear, if you are on Éclair the menu should appear without having to press anything.
Turn the phone off, hold volume - and then press the pwr button keep volume - held until you see the

(( no, that did'nt help..
Try holding both volume buttons down at the same time, then press and hold power button. See if that will put you into the OEM recovery screen that may have the option to do a factory reset or flash a ROM from an external SD. Keep playing around with combinations of this procedure, it may be your best bet.
I tried with holding volume down, volume plus then power, ...then only volume plus then power button, and every possible way of pressing thorugh.. now after these..now it seems to be fully dead... Anywa when i connect to pc.. it makes a sound on pc.. like connected.. but when i type adb shell on cmnt promt.. it says..
-Exes/system/bin/sh not found ..or something like.that.....

what you have to do is hold vol up with power button ( you'll see a androbot lyieng down there) then just leave the buttons and again hold vol up button and then gently tap on power button (you should see a recovery console).

Galaxy Note 3 LTE Stuck in bootloop

I very recently purchased a used Galaxy Note 3 that has been well used and loved. I bought it because I was told that the phone died whilst updating to Lollipop and because of this, the phone will now not boot. It is stuck in a bootloop with Recovery........ In the top corner.
Now my problem is this, I cannot get into Recovery Mode. It Just turns off again before I can access the screen, vibrates, then comes back on, rinse and repeat. I can get I to Odin mode, download mode, if you like.
I have tried flashing a Lollipop stock OS onto the device but I continually had the same problem, so I downloaded a CWM Recovery and flashed that onto the phone, but now I'm getting an error of SEAndroid is not enforcing... Blah blah.
I am incredibly stuck here and I know literally nothing about rooting. I just want this fixed, and am willing to try anything you throw at me if you're willing to push me to get there. Thanks, and I appreciate any advice!

ok, take the battery out for a min. Put it in again and boot in Recovery TWRP. TWRP is a lil ****er (press up button, home key and Power button. Release only the Power button when you see the logo of Samsung, and continue pressing the others till TWRP blue screen appears).
Select pit file in pit tab and select firmware file in Ap tab.

[RECOVERY] problem

Hi all,
i am trying to install the twrp recovery on my s4 gt-I9505. I installed odin and downloaded the .tar file (i have tried some of that becouse i'm not sure which one should i use, it seems there is no s4 9505 in the list). Odin i setted with auto rebbot and f. reset time only. After the process ended, i tried to enter recovery from my device, but when i try it appers a yellow ad red write and then the device boot normally but no in the recovery. Hope u guys can help me, im not that good with this kind of stuff. PS: sorry for the bad english hope u guys can uderstand me ^^
Try this to install TWRP on the gt-i9505:
open Odin 3.07 and uncheck everything except f reset time;
flash the phone with the latest tar file from here: https://dl.twrp.me/jfltexx/ in the PDA box of Odin 3.07;
when you see the word "RESET" in the status window, remove USB cable from the phone, remove the battery, replace the battery, use buttons to boot into recovery;
reboot.

You need to keep holding down the home and volume up button after the phone powers up. Sounds like you are not holding the 2 buttons down long enough.

Been stuck on this screen for the last 6/7 hours. Pressing power plus volume down restarts the phone then rapidly goes into this screen and starts loading the update. After 100% it stays, nothing happens. The recovery menu never comes. Mine is SM-A205U Full Stock ROM

Restart the phone using volume down and the power button.
After the screen turns off but before it turns back on, let go of volume down and hold volume up instead along with your power button.
Either wipe your phone or format data from there. (Either option will leave you factory fresh in this case)
Unless you wanna use odin to push the update instead of relying on the inbuilt updater.
In which case you hold volume up and down along with the power button before using a computer to do your update.

So it should revert back to its original firmware?
Always wondered about this situation on unrooted phones. It can happen too easily with auto flashing.
