Yes, use DOWNGRADE script

I tested the downgrade script yesterday. It does his job, but after that there are no OTA's possible because of the missing modem downgrade.
I fixed it for a fully downgrade: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B134drJ4-Ed0MHQ5aE1wUmp5eFk/view?usp=drivesdk
Use that file only with a unlocked Bootloader!!!!!

I donwngrade and install again firm and ota and perfect no problem

Can we get this to work on the normal moto z?

Thanks so much, works fine. Don't like nugat, too much battery drain and memory use compare to MM, so I'm back to 6.0.1 now

yes, unlocked.

Work?

Did this work even if the bootloader is already on Nougat? Or does this only work on MM bootloaders?

My phone is bootloader unlocked. Tried it but not getting past the boot logo. The bootloader version remains the same (nougat) and everything flashes fine.

Did u use the script from the first post? Or the one that I uploaded?

I used the zip from the first post.
I'm now trying the recent batch file you uploaded but it's failing on flashing gpt

It now restarts over and over again and displays "Erasing" with the green Android icon.

I have a Koodo (which is owned by Telus, and on the same tkpca software channel) Moto Z Play, and I've recently sideloaded the Nougat OTA from this thread here. Everything works just fine, but I've realized this might affect me getting future OTAs from my carrier. If I were to download the last Marshmallow firmware from Telus and downgrade using this script, would I run into any issues with this script? Would I run into any issues with OTA updates as well? I'm considering downgrading so I can obtain future OTAs through my carrier again.
Edit: Downgrade to Marshmallow using the included DOWNGRADE FIRMWARE.bat was successful. Thank you very much for writing this script.

This worked for me perfectly, I used @-=MoRpH=-'s version from the comments

Will this work from a stable LOS install? Is it possible to then sideload OTAs?
EDIT: Nevermind, I should learn to read.

It does work for moto z 1650-03?

It's very kind of you to share the XT1032 OTA,thank you!. I would have thought you might have added some additional thoughts and suggestions for installing the OTA. A mirror for the BR 4.4.4 would have been helpful too,as many users are on other 4.4.4 firmware.

For those like myself that don't read Portuguese, here's the Google translation of the tutorial:
Download the required file and copy the OTA to the device's internal memory.
Now the device, go to Settings> About Phone> System Updates.
Will the message of a new update found. Just confirm and start the update.
The device will reboot and start the update process, just wait for the process to finish.
When finished, the device will restart and voila, you are using the final version of Lollipop 5.0.2
Obstructive advise after making the upgrade to Lollipop, go Configure> Backup and Reset> Restore Factory Data and confirm. So you can avoid getting bugs or possible traces of KitKat files.
(Warning: this will erase everything that is on the device, including in internal memory, save your stuff on the computer before doing this).
Okay, now just set the machine, put your Google account and finally enjoy the official Android Lollipop.
Thanks, do I need to rename the file to "210.12.40.falcon_umts.Brasil.en.BR.zip" ?

I'm currently installing the downloaded OTA. There seems to be more than one way to install it. In my case,I'm installing it in recovery and so far,so good. There's no need to rename the file. You could also use the alternate method to install, which is to check for updates in the settings. I had to download the BR 4.4.4 firmware first, made a mistake and downloaded the wrong 4.4.4 the fist time and was getting errors while trying to install it in recovery. The wrong firmware will not give an available update from the OTA in memory from settings. Be careful if you're downloading the firmware,it must be the exact XT1032 BR 4.4.4 firmware as stated in the OP.
For those looking for the 4.4.4 ROM you need for this OTA:
Goto http://goo.gl/kKhvtj and download "XT1032_RETAIL-BR-SS_4.4.4_KXB21.14-L1.40_42_cid12_CFC_1FF.xml.zip"
You should be able to follow these instructions to flash it:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2542219
You device should then be ready to update using the OTA file

Same here. It seems like GPE 5.0.1 runs smoother than Motorola 5.0.2 Brasil.

Try doing a factory reset after flashing OTA. Mine its running smoothier than with 5.0.1 GPE.
I have the US stock rom in my phone, can I install this Br stock ROM and the return to U S stock when this are released??
I'm on GPE Lollipop, what is the procedure I should follow to install this?
I have an issue, i downloaded the 4.4.4 required for this OTA, flashed, copied the OTA to the SDCARD of the phone and then tried to update but it keeps saying that i'm up to date.
I'm missing something?
EDIT: It's necessary to Update Motorola OTA app from Play Store in order to recognize the ZIP in the SDCARD

[tool] xt1096_5.0_lxe22.46.11 auto flasher

Hey guys I have made a simple script that allows you to flash back the stock (non root, non modified) 5.0_LXE22.46.11 system for the XT1096!!!

This is good for mofo users who need to restore their phones back to stock unrooted system.
THIS IS ONLY FOR XT1096 USERS!!! Verizon Moto x 2014's
Originally you have to flash all 9 sparse chunks using fastboot to get the stock system back on the phone. Well this tool just runs through all 9 automatically. Also I included the options to factory reset the phone (userdata and cache wipe) and reboot the phone after your done.
Make sure you have the Moto X drivers installed. If not download and install Motorola Device manager. Boot your phone into bootloader mode and plug into computer. Make sure you phone is charged over 20%.
Download the archive, unzip and double click run the "RUN ME TO FLASH STOCK!!!" bat file. Choose a number and let the script automate everything for you.

Do you mean the software status official? Or changing the modified software status in BootLoader from modified to official?
if you mean the bootloader, this will not change it from modified to official. This just flashes the official stock lollipop system.
Can I use this to go back to 5.0 from the latest OTA?
I went to the official OTA from Verizon and wanted to get root again.
Would it brick me to run this to get back to 5.0 stock?

If you took the 5.1 OTA, then you are now on the 5.1 bootloader. The exploit that MoFo relies on was closed in the 5.1 bootloader and so MoFo no longer works for your device. There is no way to downgrade from the 5.1 bootloader to the 5.0 bootloader.
All this will do is downgrade your system but your bootloader will stay on 5.1 and MoFo does not work if you are running the 5.1 bootloader.

1)No need to restore MM backup from recovery and then flash
2)You can flash it directly using odin, after successfully flashed factory reset your phone through stock recovery
3)Also you can flash it by complete wipe from twrp recovery
4)Since your running custom rom usb debugging and oem unlocking are already eanbled but be sure once before flashing
Note-Be sure Usb debugging And Oem Unlocking options are enabled from developers option before flashing thorugh odin (Go to setting>about device>software info>Tap build no for 7-8 times until you see developers option is enabled, You can find setting>developers option mostly below about device..From there make sure usb debugging and oem unlocking is enabled)
FLASH ONLY IF YOUR DEVICE IS SUPPORTED BY THIS TURKEY BUILD AND FOLLOW PROPER ODIN FLASHING GUIDE YOU CAN FIND EASILY ANYWHERE IN FORUM

Most probably the reason for that is you can't downgrade, it seems your bootloader is newest and can't be downgraded back . This is most obvious thing

Galaxy S8 Fails to Flash Firmware In Odin 3.13

I'm trying to downgrade the software in the S8 to android 7 so that I can root it (root methods that I tried for android 9 haven't worked) and when in Odin, the original software fails to flash, I've tried a couple different AP files for my model and they all fail. Any suggestions?
Any help is appreciated.

It fails because you cannot downgrade bootloader, hence the Odin fail at boot.img. you must flash the current or newer BL unfortunately. Have you tried to flash twrp + magisk for root?

About that, my s8+ keeps booting, I been trying to install TWRP but odin fails with sha256 error. Try again with the patched version, no sha error this time, but fails at recovery.img. Soo no twrp, any idea how to get rid of the fail?

The effort put forth by Extreme Syndicate is great except some of the disclaimers aren't promising.
This method will work if you are on Android 9 Pie but will put you on Android 7 nougat. There is no root for Android 9 Pie
You will not be able to use normal magisk
You will not be able to flash custom rom like Lineage or any other AOSP roms
You cannot flash custom boot images or recovery images such as TWRP
The whole reason to root, in my case - any way, is to put a custom recovery on such as TWRP and then flash a custom ROM to get rid of the **** Samsung provides.
In my case, I just downgrade to 7 nougat rom, then couldn't do much, so I got to think. I just wanted to revived this sucker!
Plug it back to odin and reinstall the lastest firmware from sammobile.
I'm not an expert on any of this, but like a said just bringing back this sucker, im in peace.
I can't stand Samsung's software so I'm "glad" in the sense that I bought the phone for experimenting and not to use on a daily basis because if I had to use One UI daily I'd descend into madness over how much I can't stand it.
Having said that, attempting to root it, put a custom recovery and rom on it are very frustrating tasks when Samsung's Knox and other code gets in the way to the point of everything in Odin failing.
"Food for thought" - How can your device be "your" device when it clearly and evidently locks you out of doing whatever you want on it?
I'm not sure if there is a community for anti-bloatware but if there is I'm just as much a part of it as I am with right to repair.
