[Q] Only boot into recovery - Xiaomi Redmi Pro Questions & Answers

Hey guys, today is was playing a game on my phone. And then suddenly it shutdown, and now only boots to recovery. If i try to boot it from the recovery to the system, it still goes to recovery.
Is there a why i still can get in to my android firmware?/ stop the reboot to recovery?
I hope you all can help

What I would recommend you is to reinstall the ROM.
Assuming that you have TWRP just download a .zip and install it from there wiping data before doing anything.
If you do not have TWRP it can be a bit more tricky. You can unlock the bootloader (if you have not done that before), install TWRP and then reinstall the ROM.
Also you can always use SP Flash Tool to reinstall a ROM

Can't get into recovery :( would appreciate some help

Hello everyone,
yes i tried the search, but i really could not find anything matching my problem
I want so gift my S4 to a friend for christmas and wanna do a full wipe + new custom rom (currently sitting on Ressurection Remix Remix 5.5.5)
When i try to enter TWRP i get stuck at the teamwin screen
I've tried the following:
- flash older TWRP again via Odin
- install newest TWRP again via TWRP Manager App
- flashing Stock Recovery (could not even get into anything, bootloop)
Any suggetions how to solve this problem?
Sorry for any grammar/vocabulary mistakes. English is not my first language
Try flashing stock rom. That also includes the stock recovery. Then reflash twrp.

Unless you want to stay on the stock rom, or want to backup some apps, then no. Rooting will not be necessary if you plan on changing to a custom rom again.
rooted my s4 again,
twrp is finally working
but i cant flash the rom
Error executing updater binary in zip
anyone has an idea?
i allready downloaded the rom again but the zip is not broken
Are you using the latest version of twrp?
Yes 2.8.7.0

That error is caused because the recovery thinks the rom is not compatible with your phone.
Make sure your phone is compatible with the rom.
Or try these steps I found online:
1. Advance Wipe > Wipe cache, data, system, dalvik partitions.
2. Select ZIP file of your ROM and flash it.
3. You will get E:Error executing updater binary in zip (Don’t panic!)
4. Go to Reboot menu > Select Reboot to recovery.
5. After rebooting in recovery, flash the ZIP file of the ROM again WITHOUT WIPING.
Then it should work, according to the site I found it on.
The execution error indicates that the phone may not be supported by the ROM you're trying to flash..

Without PC....
1)Flash stock recovery(search it in xda) by rashr/flashify/t.w.r.p.
2)Rename the ROM file by "update.zip" and place it in the root (best is outside of any folder)of internal memory.
3)reboot in stock recovery.
4)wipe user data (not all data )
5)select update.zip from stock recovery.
I flashed miui ROM by this process many time .But. It is best to flash miui ROM by fastboot..
I tried to flash stock recovery but it stucks on mi logo while flashing through flashify

Did u try it from here.It always work with me.Or you have to search for a compatible stock recovery with ur model for flashing global miui ROM(without PC).
I tried this but it didnt workd
easy..!! flash twrp whichever build you were on.. reboot to twrp, wipe system, data, caches then flash miui8 any official build, you may get error 7 then go back and mount everything choose reboot to recovery again and flash miui8 this time it will be installed showing flashing firmware.
do caches wipe then reboot. done..!!

Stable MIUI, without Computer, Use Xiaomi.eu ROM for your device, they are zip which can be flashed easily with twrp 3.0 !! It's Pure MIUI with some more feature, also it gets update every Friday.

if u want to use custom rom just follow proper steps and it will install.
-unlock bootloader (which i assume u already have)
-fastboot boot latest twrp
-do a full wipe and reboot to bootloader.
-again fastboot boot the latest twrp
-now copy rom, gapps, magisk(mandatory) and twrp installer(optional)
-install rom and twrp installer only
-reboot to booatloader and fastboot boot twrp again or if u installed twrp installer just reboot to recovery.
-now flash magisk and gapps
-reboot system
By mistake if u flashed factory.bat then read this : https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/guide-how-to-restore-imei-permanently-t3759190
if your phone is rebooting after every 60 sec then u most probably corrupted /persist. Don't worry custom roms will work without any problem as they don't touch persist.
did you by chance used flash_factory.bat in mi flash tool ?

thank you for help
i will try to use custom rom and i hope it will work
and i did use flash_all_lock_crc.bat in mi flash tool then i'm start getting the restart problem with unread sim card
use flash_all_lock.bat only or flash all except storage.bat or flash_all.bat .except these nothing else.
flash custom rom or flash_all_lock.bat in mi flash tool (it will work work most probably).

Can't Boot To Custom Recovery

Hey guys, I have redmi note 7 lavender and I was installed orangefox and the pixel experience rom
I secided to reinstall miui global rom via orangefox witg .zip file
And from now I can't boot to orangefox recovery, when i try it boots to miui's recovery
How can I boot to orangefox? I have not a pc so I can't flash again. Please help
MIUI overwrites the recovery. You will need to install some other rom or root in order to preserve ur recovery.

With fastboot, the same way you did before.

Fastboot loop

I have a Redmi Note 7 (lavender) that when removing some bloatwares it ended up getting stuck in fastboot mode. It is (or was) rooted, has TWRP Recovery and the Bootloader is unlocked. Can I flash the stock rom (fastboot rom) on it using MiFlash Tools? I tried to use a Wipe Data / Format Data by TWRP but it didn't work and searching only found the solution to use MiTools.
Is it possible to flash another rom on it the way it is (stucked in fastboot mode)?
Thank you
sorry for the english

Just flash the full ROM again with your recovery. It shouldn't require a fastboot ROM, although that would also solve the problem.

Can you recommend any recovery files? I only remember that MIUI was 11.03.6 Global. I dind't make a backup or any kind like that. The only ROM files that I had on my PC was LineageOS (I pretend to flash it on my phone - it's possible to do that on this moment?)
