Yotaphone 2 YD201 va YD206 build construction difference - YotaPhone

Hello Forum,
Has anyone experienced with both models and can state if there is any difference on the materials (say glass, plastic, etc) regarding its quality?
Or is it the same quality for both?
I already ordered a YD206 from AliExpress but still on time to cancel the order and get the YD201 from coolicool.
Thanks

I can't find any differences whatsoever

Your data is inaccurate. I have brought YD206 and it has Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974Pro-AA 2300 GHz processor.
I'm using 4G LTE Band3-1800MHz

I can confirm that my YD206, purchased from bang good in december has the Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 MSM8974Pro-AA. The supported frequences are in the radio firmware, read the threads here on how to upgrade to the firmware that suits your country best!

SM-N910F and AWS compatibility

I am looking to get a Snapdragon 805 based Note 4. The most common variant seems to be the SM-910F.
Is this variant compatible with WInd Mobile in Canada (AWS /UMTS Band 4 - aka 1700/2100MHz)? At the moment, Wind does not seem to have an LTE service, so that is not a concern right now.
Has anyone else attempted it?
A quick check on the US Amazon website and:
http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-SM-N910F-Factory-Unlocked-International/dp/B00NB1DVII
GSM (2G) GSM 850 MHz, GSM 900 MHz, DCS 1.800 MHz, PCS 1.900 MHz
UMTS (3G) B1 (2100), B2 (1900), B5 (850), B8 (900)
4G FDD LTE B1(2100), B2(1900), B3(1800), B4(AWS), B5(850), B7(2600), B8(900), B17(700), B20(800)
The B4 (AWS) part makes me think that this should work on Wind Mobile.
910F is the international version with the Snapdragon 805. There is no 810 Snapdragon version of the Note 4. Since its the international version it should work fine.
Thanks - fixed typo.
But yeah I am thinking it will be fine as well.

I don't think it will work, the AWS band is being used for LTE. I would say get the sm-N910W
It is not.
Is there a database somewhere of model numbers of the Note 4 filtered by the compatibility with bands?
The 910T, 910F, and 910W8 seem to be compatible. Ideally I would like to have the Snapdragon 805 variants.
newbies
Just got the 910f thought it would works with wind but no such luck.
maybe I need a Modem flash of the ATT variant might be able to get it working but no luck finding that so far.
I will let u know if I can get it to work.

Is there a way to add 38 LTE TD 2600 to N910C?

Hello, I want to ask if there is a way to add the band 38 LTE TD 2600 to my N910C who doen not have it?
Thanks!
I have the same problem !!!
No....the bands are a part of the antenna....theirs no way to add more bands

The antenna has to match the exact frequency and modulation or just the frequency?
Because, N910C, N910F both support LTE band 7, on frequency 2600,
FDD (Frequency-Division Duplex).
LTE band 38 is also on frequency 2600 but uses TDD (Time-Division Duplex)
Is the modulation (FDD, TDD) handled by the antenna or by the modem?
The modem is, as far I can tell, the same for N910F and N910G (both same Qualcomm); unlike the Exynos in N910C.
Still no one came with a solution for this? I read that Qualcomm phones can make this change (S5)

Redmi 3S - Global version vs Chinise

I have a question about hardware difference between Xiaomi Redmi 3S China version and the Global one.
I thought that the only difference is the EU-plug, but I noticed this item on aliexpress with LTE B20 (800MHz) support.
I asked the seller about it and the seller insists that all of that is true.
Can someone confirm or deny this situation?

i don't think that there is any hardware difference
it's one device
the one with global rom , i guess it has the adapter , google services (and play) and some chinese apps removed
if you see here (with google translate)

you think the software limits the LTE bands?

well the only think that i am sure is that as an european is difficult to find the "india" version
(because i know -and can buy from - only chinese stores)
also 2 band for lte is weird so i guess it's just a rom limitation or just incomplete list of specs (because it doesn't matter for India the other bands)
p.s. i don't see roms only for india , i only see china and global roms
Their hardwares should be same.
Charger different
China version don't have Google Play service+bandwidth those stuffs should be different?
so... any more infos about the 800MHz FDD-LTE support ?
anyone tried to unlock the bootloader on a chinese version and flashing a xiaomi.eu multilang rom to see if B20/800 is available ?
This is of great interest to me too. I want to buy two Redmi 3s's, but need B20 as well. If it's as easy as flashing the global/international ROM, it would save me lots of $$. Has anyone tried this and succeeded using B20 on a Chinese 3s?
I bought the international version of Redmi 3s, and the B20/800 is working! Also arrived with official global ROM

No. There's should not be and hardware differences until it comes to Mobile Broadband frequencies, but i think this is software dependent. As you flash Global or Chinese you choose frequencies probably. I use Global Stable with Root and some tools and it's just fine.

no, it's not working this way
I've seen some development attempts regarding enabling missing channels, but with no success

Thank you!
So I have 2016031. If the information I provided above is correct, that means I have all necessary bands for Europe.
The problem is I found different information here:
============
Xiaomi: https://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/redmi-3s-with-lte-b20-800mhz.33957/
2016030 is 32gb version
2016031 is 16gb version
Both without b20
https://www.frequencycheck.com/mode...i-3s-4g-redmi-3s-dual-sim-td-lte-32gb-2016030
https://www.frequencycheck.com/mode...i-3s-4g-redmi-3s-dual-sim-td-lte-16gb-2016031
============
2016031 is 16gb version THIS IS STRANGE RIGHT, I HAVE 32GB VERSION and it is model 2016031
What is correct?
I have model 2016031 with 32Gb - do I have LTE B20 (800) and LTE B8 (900) or not?
I hope someone knows?

Yes, you do.
I have the same model and ROM capacity.
Look at my october post, you can find there links to official Xiaomi pages with the band availability information.
There is no information about model numbers there, but it was confirmed by many users.
Thank you for your help!
I see indeed all the bands under specifications.
I am very happy.

LeEco S3 vs LeEco x527

Could someone, please explain:
Does the leeco S3 (x522) have a B3 (1800) LTE band?
As I know the x527 has B3 LTE band.
The specs for both phones looks similar.
They are almost the same, the biggest difference is the s3 has LTE bands 12/17 which are both 700Mhz 1 a and one b and c.
And the x527 doesn't. Other then that i think they're the same phone.

New frequency LTE 4G bands included in YP3 vs YP2 (YD201)

Not holding my breath but it seems YP3 has slightly better support for LTE frequencies which should mean better overall LTE reception in Europe and in Canada. Not sure about the U.S.
Europe (select bands and countries)
B8 (900) - NEW band in YP3
B3 (1800 +)
B7 (2600)
Canada
B7 (2600)
B2 1900 - NEW band in YP3
Band 17 - 700 mhz - NEW band in YP3
The comparison is made against YD201.
I got the specs from Frenquency check website and from posted online specs about YP3. Looks like these specs are different from the preview models of YP3 a few months ago so let's hope it holds some truth.
Interesting one of the specs saying the phone will also include bands 12, 13, 29 (all 700 mhz) which would be mostly good news for the U.S.
