Keyboard Problems

The stock keyboard supplied by Swype is a laggy piece of rubbish.
As annoying as it is I really like the theme and layout apart from the Swype key which you can't disable.
What keyboard is everyone else using?

I deleted Huawei Swype with root explorer (root) and installed SwiftKey...
Huawei Swype needs about 200MB in system-folder
... send from hell... hahahaaaa...

Root is not an option as I need to use banking Apps. Using smart keyboardpro. Quite good.

Is there any problem if you are root and use banking application? I am using 2 banking applications and root also.

Huh ?? I previously on another phone could not use Barclay's pingit and also Google play movies. Have you tested these out ?

Please tell me what kind of problem you have? I want buy Mate 7 but Iam typing so fast on keyboard (now Iam have iPhone 6).
Is that ok in this phone? Typing fast?
Because I owned an OnePlus One and there was a problem with fast typing

I just want to know, what kind of problem you have, if you can type fast on Mate7 or not.

I just use the google keyboard.

I don't watch movies but I do use two separate banks applications since long time and the first thing I do when I get a new phone, is to root it before anything else.
I didn't face any problems with Bank applications when I am root.

Google lollipop is excellent

No need to root for that. Just go in settings keyboard and choose android AOSP. If it is not yet the lollipop one, it will update through the play store. It is rally a good keyboard

My mobile have non of the English input methods I have to use system language and it must be set to English so that I can use it any help ¿?????????????? This is so annoying now i cant use two language merged

I use huawei swype and all is perfect .. no lag at all..
two languages simultaneously I can use

With new material design, I can't imagine using another keyboard - and I've tried many, except for maybe Minuum. Minuum is great if you have a smaller screen or don't want the keyboard to use too much screen real estate.

can u merge eglish with any of the otherlanguages or u just use system language cause i dont have any of the eng. lang. under active input methods if i used google keyboard ?!!

[Q] Screen display for Spotify

Hello wonderful people of xda, how are you doin'?
Just a quick question,
Does spotify display the album info and media controls on your note 4 lockscreen? mine doesn't and it's annoying to unlock the phone in order to change the song.. I'm specifically talking about those with stocks roms only. Any help or opiniom about this would be great thanks

My Spotify shows up on lock screen. I use Fingerprint unlock for the screen. I did not change any settings in Spotify for such screen.

I'd like to share an another method. Since my cloned app won't be use that often, I use QuickShortcutMaker to browse all the app (or use favorite menu, open that app and press on "Try" button). This way, it is more tedious, but you won't waste any screen space.

however, it seems other app interact with the 'cloned app' as a whole with the original app.
I tried locking the app, say eg; whatsapp. I locked whatsapp and the cloned app is also lock. cant find a workaround to just lock either 1 and leave the other unlocked.
I'm using AppLock btw.

That's unfortunately just a result of how App Twin works.

In my Honor device, running on EMUI 5.0, I don't have an option to twin app. I'm having a Honor 6X. Is there any method to bring it into my device?

[hello I tried doing this and when I enter my package it shows in the list but didn't pop up in the home screen. Please help. Im using huwaei y7 2018

Facial Recognition (and "OK Google")

While watching this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aWLsspDeQpU) on youtube I noticed a setting for Facial Recognition. The actual setting is called "Trusted Face". It wasn't mentioned during the video but it was a setting I noticed while something else was being shown. The setting is under security/smartlock. I set it up and it works great. No fancy animations or anything, it just works. Anyway, just wanted to point out that the Axon 7 has this feature.
There is also a setting called "Trusted Voice" in the smartlock tab. This sets up the "OK Google" command, which also works really well!
I am using the A2017U Axon 7 which has been updated to 7.1.1. (I also use it on Verizon with no issues whatsoever).
Feel free to delete this thread if everyone was already aware of these features. I was not aware of them so I figured there may be a few more people out there who didn't know about them either.....

Trusted voice has been about for ages, and also face unlock.
If you look for the google app in the app draw, open it and its in the settings of that app.

I have a month old axon 7. I had the facial recognition set up, if worked fine, now all of a sudden it doesn't work and for the life of me I can't find the settings for it. I swear it was there and it worked (yes, after the 7.1.1 upgrade).

Not sure either...it's just gone from the menu.
EDIT: NM, problem solved. I have a credit card app set up as Device Admin. As soon as I removed it as an admin, Facial recognition came back.

Galaxy S8 Notification Slow Down Because of Google App

Hi,
I have been experiencing slow notifications on my S8 ever since I bought it, specifically with apps like Twitter and Skype. After research, I tested turning off the app power monitor, but that did not help. Then, I tried disabling the google app and the problem was fixed. However, I do use the google app on a regular basis so I would like to find a different way to fix the problem. I have also tried a phone reset with no results.

Go really if that works by stopping the google application.
I have it like that, but there are many other things that I lose when I deactivate that function, for example the dictation to google voice, a function that is widely used by me.
I read that Nougat did not pass.
Amazing that there is no solution to this. There is no other solution?
