There's two other Qualcomm K10 phones you need to add to the list. The L62VL known as LG Premier LTE (CDMA) and the L61AL known as the LG Premier LTE (GSM) both on Tracfone.

You can carrier unlock and bootloader unlock too

Short note about LG K410 Dual SIM (I believe it's just K410): as a device based on MTK6582 the Fastboot mode in it is handled by "LK" "Little Kernel" engine which does not support "fastboot oem unlock" command neither the "OEM unlock" option is present in the developers options. I guess the bootloader is in fact not even locked at all, though "fastboot getvar all" says it is.

I have looked everywhere and I simply cannot find out how to unlock the bootloader for my model. (K428 (T-Mobile) Qualcomm) Can somebody lead me in the right direction? All I'm finding are methods for models LG K420DS OR LG K420N. Any help is appreciated.

You don't need bootloader unlock. There is a thread on rooting and flashing the TWRP I compiled.

Has the L62VL version ever been able to get rooted successfully, and if so, could you point me in the right direction? I've got the 5.1.1

LG K10 Hidden Menu

Just want to share this, cause I think this would be help for someone and could be use in the future for more purposes.
Dial *#546368#*xxx# where "xxx" is the model no. of your phone or device variant, for example *#546368#*430# for k10 430dsy
:good::good::good:
it doesn't work for me..
EDIT: mine is k430n
I confirm that works on K420n model!
Soooo basically no root?
This is one of the few devices that cannot be rooted?
Could be the end of modding and improvement for this specific device?

How? I mean probably its not supported anyway all variants I only knew was this:
K420N (Europe); K430DS (Russia); K430DSF (LATAM); K430DSY (Taiwan)
I don't even know that there's a k430N :silly:
No im Qualcomm possessor
---------- Post added at 12:40 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:40 AM ----------
Still these day no root
to enter unlock code dial 2945#*xxx# (xxx is your model number)
Confirmed working on the K10 K410 Dual SIM MTK variant.
Works on K430TV aswell, but that doesn't really matter, because almost no one has this version
*#546368#*430# Working On 430dsy
Works on tracfone variants, lg premier. Just put 62 (verizon) or 61 (at&t,sprint) in place of 420, 430. So I typed *#546368#*62# for my verizon straight talk lg premier.

LG G6+ US997U LTE Bands Unlock

I am planning to buy an LG G6+ US997U(Model no LGUS997U.AAMZBK) and import it to India for the simple fact that US997U models are bootloader unlockable.
The problem arises that the LTE bands being used in India are not mentioned in the FCC filing for US997 models.
As I understand the modem in SD821 supports all LTE bands and there are region specific software blocks to block other bands.
My question is whether after unlocking and rooting, I can remove those blocks so the phone works fine with the LTE bands in India.
Please Help.
you know only the H870 and US997 can be unlocked no other models like the h870d or ds or a u version
..but DS is quite different. (two sim) 997 and 997U are differ just in mem size and quad dac. So the boot is almost the same.

Yes I read in an Amazon review that there is official support for bootloader unlock for US997U.
Question now is whether I can unlock all the LTE bands available with the SD821 and whether I can flash the H870 or US997 recovery and roms(Lineage, AquariOS) on US997U?
@J0SH1X @rc420head Can you guys help answer this please?

Absolute nothing. No custom rom, no recovery, no root. ...and I think no system updates too for u, because it is an Amazon branded phone.
So... Is the G6+ (US997U) supported by LG Developer's bootloader unlock, or not? That's the real issue... not the fact that it's "just the memory size" because LG distinguishes support based on the IMEI/MEID. Consider the fact that all of the US99x phones are the same model number for the "unlocked" and the "US Cellular" versions... but LG will not send you an unlock code if you attempt to use a device ID from a device that is provisioned to the US Cellular carrier. The hardware is literally identical.
Also consider that the V30+ is in the same boat. The US998 can be unlocked on the LG dev site (with a little trickery - you have to change the website code in Chrome for it to work)... but the US998U can NOT. We're not really sure why.
Presently... the LG Dev Supported Devices List does NOT list the US997U (G6+)... so I want to ask anyone here that says it can be unlocked how they did it. It's hard to find info on xda, since the "plus" version doesn't seem to have it's own portal.
Thanks, all!
I tried to unlock my US997U on the portal (selecting US997 from the dropdown) and my unlock was brutally denied.
Extremely lame that simply having more memory means I can't unlock my phone!
is there any update on this? can LGUS997U be unlocked? I too was denied on the LG developer website

YEAH SUPER LAME!. the website denied mine too. SOOO LAME. because fastboot gave me the CODE... SO LAME.
Unfortunately, your device( United States, (AMAZON(USA)), LGUS997U.AMZ )does not support unlocking the bootloader.

I Give Up, Have To Ask-Can TMo H872 Be Bootloader Unlock/Rooted?

Guys I am coming from GNote 3 so I am not very familiar with LG devices. Been searching, but now I have to ask before making a purchase. Can the Tmo H872 be BL unloacked/rooted or not?
I know the US997 is the way to go or 870 (rare in US). But I am also seeing better deals on the H872. So before pulling the trigger I just want to confirm first.
on the LG dev site this is all I see, but is there a way to unlock the H872?

Yes. But I see this guy on UT, Android Explained, here, seems to imply TMo allows their H872 BL unlocking. All you have to do is DL minimal ADB and issue fastboot unlock BL command, no BL unlock code required. Is this true? Again new to LG and trying to be prior-active if you will.
Huh.
This https://forum.xda-developers.com/tmobile-g6/how-to/unlock-bootloader-tmo-t3578099 says the same as UT. I am on US997. Sure seems too easy, but hey what do I know? Have you posted over on the TMo forum?
Yes, I am on T-Mobile H872 rooted and bootloader unlocked, with a custom ROM. There's a thread called lafsploit (something along those lines) by runningnak3d, he made a detailed guide on all the steps.

Shifting to Unlocked G6 variant and having root?

I saw a few posts talking about shifting G6 h871 (at&t) to us997 or h870, h872.
Is it really possible to shift to these versions and then have the option to root the phone?

Unlock bootloader (LG G6) LGM-G600 skl

I read a lot about the international variant can be unlocked using the official method.
Unfortunately LGM-G600 isn't listed on LGs bootloader website.
Is there any unofficial unlocking of bootloader for the LG G6 korean variant phones?
Like the LG V20 dirty santa method?
