I read a lot about the international variant can be unlocked using the official method.
Unfortunately LGM-G600 isn't listed on LGs bootloader website.
Is there any unofficial unlocking of bootloader for the LG G6 korean variant phones?
Like the LG V20 dirty santa method?

Can someone please tell me the difference between LG G6 H870 UK Vs LG G6 H870 European version? Both of them are carrier free and unlocked. Does this mean both of their bootloaders can be unlocked?

Hello everyone I have an LG G6 H870 that I bought unlocked (supposedly) I want to flash some custom roms, yet when I try to get the unlock key from LG it tells me my phone is from panama and i cant unlock it, when I have the h870 version which is supposedly be unlock able.

Only the European H870 can be unlocked, it's written on the LG page: "LG G6: H870 for the European market"
So nope, you cannot unlock the bootloader of your G6, this means no root, no custom recovery and obv no custom rom, i'm sorry.
Is it possible to root Indian version of LG G6 H870DS, if we could unlock the Bootloader. Check this link.

I saw a few posts talking about shifting G6 h871 (at&t) to us997 or h870, h872.
Is it really possible to shift to these versions and then have the option to root the phone?

A while back I had a a at&t gflex 2 with a locked bootloder and had root and the ability to flash some stuff though recovery sideloaded......now having a lg g6 at&t unlocked device and successfully flashed h872 kdz then 997 kdz then will be looking at root on a locked bootloder will keep you informed as I look into this more.......https://forum.xda-developers.com/g-flex2/development/root-easy-root-att-flex-2-5-1-1-t3178354

Hi, I have an LG 870ar.
I need to unlock the bootloader in order to root it.
I was reading from the lg page that only supports the 870 European version.
Does this version have any chance of unlocking the bootloader?

Not for now, but maybe in 1 or 2 months. Follow the progress on telegram, search for lg g6 bootloader exploit.
