Stock recovery for E3 (xt1700) - Moto E3 Questions & Answers

Hi, I've search everywhere for about 3 days and can't find any stock recovery.img for the E3....
I have received an update but can't as twrp is installed, any help pointing me in the right direction or posting a link to the correct recovery.img greatly appreciated
Thanks in advance

Or even a link to the stock firmware for the xt1700 as that should remove twrp as well shouldn't it.......

There are links to the stock firmware in the Root E3 Power thread, but apparently you need a lenovo subscription to access them...

You could solve this?, I installed CM 13 in my phone so that I came across the same problem when I wanting to go back to stock ...
After searching for a while on the internet I install this firmware and as a moment don't given me any problems. Note: in the "software channel" in "About phone" I get "retmx". I'm from Mexico
I am very new writing in English, in advance an apology for the grammar. Regards.

Updating firmware confusion

Can someone please explain to me the importance of updating firmware?
What exactly is firmware that only Motorola can touch?
Why can't this be included while installing a ROM?
Does Motorola somehow have the capability to touch a certain partition that we cannot?
If you flash official Motorola stock ROM, how does it differ from flashing custom ROM?They cannot do the same thing?
Lastly, if the Samsung galaxy S3 is already running 7.1, then why must we update "firmware"?
I know for a certainty Samsung stopped pushing updates long ago for the S3. Please help I'm very confused by this! I've never known to do this in all my years of flashing yet you all keep mentioning it here! Only thing I've known to flash outside of ROM was the radio/modem/baseband whatever you wanna call it. And that was a flashable zip.
How can old phones get new custom ROMs if there are no official releases for current "firmware"? Thanks all! Links and input appreciated!

Updating the firmware is necessary because the firmware brings a newer version of bootloader and for it to be compatible you need the latest version of bootloader (B1.03 right now)
Other phones need firmware or driver updates too. Sometimes they can be baked into the rom or an additional zip. It's up to the manufacturer how they deploy drivers.
Also the well known sim on/off switch is a driver inside the modem. And if the manufacturer don't release the source you cannot see the changes and need the stock rom/files to flash them prior the custom rom to get newer drivers.

Don't discuss here, ask your question in the thread you're following the instructions to upgrade to nougat please. BTW Your given information is not specified enough to help you out.
Thanks everyone for your assistance! I appreciate the information.

On Lineage OS. Need help with some things. I'm completely lost right now

Some info
Baseband:BPB1
Bootloader:BOD5
Magisk installed
>Baseband/Modem
Can anyone post a link to the thread with the most recent Verizon Baseband/modem, and how do I flash the file?
>Bootloader
Is it safe to upgrade to the latest version? If so, a link to the thread with the most recent bootloader would be helpful too.
I think you flash this via odin from the BL option right?
After Lineage OS merged all S5 versions together it's been extremely hard to find support for these specific files and directions, so any help would be appreciated.
Marshmallow was the last bl update. Why do you need to reflash? Is something not working?

ZC520TL X800DC Stock ROM

I'm looking for a stock rom (raw or img) for ZC520TL US version. I've literally attempted to update to the latest version available on ASUS website via twrp and all it's doing is just wiping /system, and not installing anything.
Or if anyone has the stock recovery for it that'll also be a major help.
Thanks!

I realize that this post is kind of old but, if you're still interested, you can find the stock rom at www DOT needrom DOT com. Search for "X008". I would post a link, but noobs aren't allowed to.
I used it a couple of days ago with SP Flash Tool to unbrick my phone, so I know it works.
