Mine is still fully functioning other than my cracked screen. I am ready to give up lol I think I am going to try the Xiaomi Mi Mix.

Mine is fine and dandy, but I might go to the galaxy 8 when it comes out. Or not, this note is perfectly fine and I use the pen...

I hope there's a warning. I would think an email to the consumer safety people would help that. Just tell them you live under a rock.

Free wireless charger

I figured out why they were giving away the free wireless charger. It's a piece of junk. Won't stay charging the phone. No case or with a case. Had same problem with S6 edge plus. Wouldn't stay charging. Needed newer model to keep it charging. Samsung is getting pretty shady. First, after registering my device, I got a bogus discount code that doesn't work and now the whole bootloader fiasco. This will be my last Samsung product.

Mine has been working perfectly fine. It works so well that I went and bought the same one with the fast charging option. They are electronics though and you can expect to get a lemon from time to time.

Cool story bro, did you try anything to fix things? Contact Samsung about the code (mine worked fine) or about the wireless charger? Or are you one of those people who complain about things, throw your hands up and 'swear off' a company at least until they make a cool new product you want, and basically do nothing to fix the problem.
Things happen, QC can't find every defect when the production line is pumping out millions of prices I product. The code may have been a error on your part, on Samsung's store, or on the program used to generate the code. It's not hard to contact Samsung and ask for assistance.

The customer support contacted me about the coupon code with a simple answer of they said I got an invalid code which came straight from Samsung. They know about the wireless charger issue because they came out with another newer model that fixed the problem and as far as the bootloader, we all know about that mess. So yes I do follow through with my issues so I was just stating my opinion. So don't just assume that I'm just a complainer without really asking questions about my issues.

Sucks, I would think they would give you a new code. Sorry for your issues, I hope nothing happens with my free gear S2 (ordered the Verizon variant) or with my gearVR and fast wireless charger (2 for 1 deal).

That's what I would've thought too. Wish tmobile would've done what the British cell phone companies did and send the gear vr with the phones. There shouldn't be a 4-6 week wait just to approve the applications with the imei number and wifi Mac address number of the customers phones. After approval it'll probably take another 4-6 weeks for delivery. 3 months is a little too long to wait when other countries get theirs immediately. Hope all your items come through for you. It's just a waiting game now.

Mine works perfectly. I'm pretty sure they came out with a new charger because the old one doesn't quick charge.

Is freezing issues with Verizon or other carriers too?

My Verizon S7 Edge freezes from time to time and I have to push the on/off or home button to get it to work again.
Kind of irritating and the Verizon store said there will be a software update soon that will take care of it.
Is this a hardware or software issue or carrier issue?
I'm regretting giving up my trouble free Note 4 already.

Yep, three different Verizon stores all told me the same thing. Must be trained to do that.

They started blocking imei samsung or sprint.

i just check my imei and its showing blacklisted thats after i gave samsung my imei for the return and waiting on shipping box. as of Tuesday. be careful guys think sprint or Samsung are blocking imei now

I said before, they will be black listed eventually. It's easy for them to start black listing them as they get them back. They are not going to want to accidentally have them activated again.
I don't think we have to worry for now, but at some point I would bet money there if a forced blacklist of all Note 7s if you kept it or not. I don't think they can make you return it, but they can keep you from using it on their network.

Im using the sprint version unlocked on att as of now till i get the return box its show up on sprint as imei blacklist but still running on att

How did you unlock your Sprint Note 7 for use with AT&T?
I talked to a connection I have at Sprint (high up), they will not be blocking Note 7s unless you swap them out to Samsung, then they go dead as if lost. If you choose to keep it, they are not cutting you off or forcing you turn them over, it's only recommended. In fact less than half of the Note 7 user have return them and are still active as of today.
Hmmm.... Has anyone heard of anymore Notes going up in smoke? Last I heard 97 had went up in flames here in the United States. I haven't heard of any new cases since before the recall got expanded.

Surprisingly easy to believe. Pretty sad. I'm just trying to decide how long to keep my device though. Updates. Support. Even insurance. It's all a question now. Until the next big thing at least
Sure they are blocking phones turned in with the recall but NOT phones that are still active.
Mine is fine as well!! Note 7 is not going to leave my hands, unless of course after all this time it decides to explode, but i'm not counting on it.:good:

Do Not Contact carrier to add IMEI, service became not supported by carrier

Hi guys, just word of caution, do not try to contact your carrier to add IMEI for better speed. I just added my Note FE SM-N935K IMEI to AT&T database trying to have data connection optimize for device, but right after the IMEI was added into the system, and a reboot, phone popped a message saying data service not supported, along with total loss of data connection and ability to make phone calls. AT&T customer representative have no idea what happened and abandoned me in middle and chat, and left me with a disabled new phone. most likely AT&T is not up to date with new device IMEI, and considered Note FE as Note 7 and not supported anymore, since Note FE shares old IMEI with note 7 in my opinion. I have no idea what to do now except using the phone as a paper weight. :crying:
Update: SIM card replacement did not work, still showing data service not supported with new SIM. but using Dummy IMEI worked. so mostly like AT&T carrier still blocking service to Note 7 series's IMEI. despite they got news its been releasing back to market. anyway Note FE is back working now. but regret that extra step I took to update IMEI. The best way is to plug and play, so easy.

Hi, contact at&t and tell them to put a dummy IMEI in your account. That will work.

AT&T specialist ask me to bring device to store and get a new SIM card, I will do it tomorrow and see if it fixed the issue. thanks for suggestion

My friend is not because the Note FE is because AT&T have an old database like 2015. I know that because I have a Xiaomi Mi Mix and that happend to me too. They saw in the system that I have a Nokia 2G Lol but glad that they fixed. Do u recommend the Note?

highly recommend, since changing battery not only fixed exploding phones, it solved overheating issue for Exynos 8890 as well. the device now is running cooler under load than before. also the phone is clean, comes with very little bloatware and run smoother than my gf's s8. Considering note 8 is going to be at least $1000 with awkward screen ratio, I say $800 including tax for a one year old device is still reasonable. just find a seller will to cover manufacturer warranty if unit is defect.

too early to tell. but after a full day of use still 40% left as of now.
I cannot wait for my baby next week! I was depressed returning the second note7 which imho had no issues.

+1 On the anticipation,glad the seller I chose didn't drag arse & shipped within a few hrs after ordering.
Ordered @ 0230 CDT & was already en route three hrs later,w/an updated delivery estimate of Monday 7-17,1-4 days ahead of advertised schedule.
It's actually arriving a day earlier than I wanted,gotta go in late to work,wait for delivery,but,I'll take it vs the alternative,LOL......

Recieved the s10+ and hour back and just finished copying data and setup . Time for my note 8 to retire and be a backup phone .
The charger and the USB connector both are in Matt black finish .is that common for all colors? The Matt finish???
I got the blue one yesterday and i got all matt white accessories in the box.
I think the black accessories are only for the black phone.
Using the Nillkin frosted case with it, which i have been using for all my phones since past few years.
Its very slim.
Ordered the Galaxy Buds in black today, under the offer
I too got the blue one and the charging brick and cable are in white.
So far so good but i tend to incline back to my mate 20 Pro

Just pre-ordered the buds last night. I received an SMS from Samsung yesterday stating that i was eligible. Ordering process was pretty smooth but delivery shows 15 business days. I vaguely remember the store guy telling me to use the phone for around 48 hours with the SIM card having the number i used to register the pre-order with, wait for a day or two i guess.
Anyone placed and order through Amazon pre book ? It seems I can't use the promo as it keeps saying device not legible. Have asked Amazon and Samsung to look into it . It seems during pre order it never asked me for entering a activation phone number.

Hi I cleared all data, cache and then uninstalled the app.Then installed it again signed in.Didn't check for eligibility then.Switched off the phone.Switched on after sometime, then checked for eligibility and it worked.Give it a try.

The offer is not applicable for users in India
Spoke to the guys on Samsung galaxy helpline and they asked me details like purchased date . Imei and post 24hrs I was eligible and already placed order for the watch
Will the snapdragon version work in India with VOLTE support? Dont care much about S-Pay. I'm worried on the exynos performance on standby/idle. I need a phone that is power efficient and my S9+ drains 2.5-3%/hr no matter what optimizations I do. Pie has bought in some efficiencies, but are marginal. I barely use my phone when in office and see that by late evening its drained 30-40% without doing anything. No issues with signal etc as my 4G LTE is at 80-90 dBm range.
Anyone with real standby battery performance of S10+? What is the per hour idle drain on good LTE network and Wifi?

My standby drain overnight is ~ 1 to 2% with Adhell
LTE always on
WiFi and bluetooth off
