Lenovo Vibe Z2 (non pro) COM.ANDROID.PHONE process has stopped - Lenovo Vibe Z2 Pro Questions & Answers

Hello everyone,
I am having problem with Lenovo Vibe Z2 non pro version (5,5" Qualcomm 4 core, 2GB RAM/32GB ROM) Its chinese version - it has China Mobile written on its back , software compilation number is VIBEUI_V2.0_1439_ST_Z2_CMCC, hardware version number is H203. I am having a problem with COM.ANDROID.PHONE process stopping when i am trying to make a call (just after that, phone asks me to reenter PIN code of my SIM card) Factory reset and clearing cache/data of Phone app didnt help. Could You please provide me with ROM file and some instruction how to flash my phone? Best option would be rom with Polish language, without all lenovo trash apps and with google play store (optionally with root or instruction how to root it)
Regards,

[Reset] Can't delete Apps, can't access Erecovery, can't restore anything

Hi Xda-developpers, nice to join the community !
1. What I did
I first intended to install ROM Custom Lineage OS on my HUawei P8 Lite (PRA-LX1)
Details : Android 7.0 / EMUI 5.0 / BUILD PRA-LX1C432B164
I managed to : unlock PHONE, FRP, Bootloader and Root it successfuly
I couldn't install Lineage because TWRP and recovery mode didn't work
2. What went wrong
It put a slightly different version of Android where...
...I cannot delete apps (but I still can install them). When I try to delete them, my phone restart and the apply still there
...I can't update to new versions
...I can't open "developper options" in Parameters (when I touch to open, it leaves parameters and go back home screen) and therefore I can't enable USB debug option and connect to the right Huawei software (Hisuite) which says even the cable is connected : the device isn't connected
3. What I tried to do to repair
3.1 Erecovery download latest version and erecovery : fail
3.2 remove SuperSu and unroot the phone : success
3.3 when I unrooted a possible upgrade appeared to a new version (the one I have now :
PRA-LX1C432B164
and the one proposed : PRA-LX1C432B212-FULL
Problem it was too good to be true, because I can't remove apps I am short of 1GB to install it (it download untill 100% but after says it needs 1GB)
I deleted eveything I can but still have :
Firmware : 6,55Go
Apply : 4,94Go
Pics, Videos, Audio, Cache, Others : 0Mo
4. What I am looking to do now
Restore everything normal as If I just bought the P8 Lite
How would you proceed ?
The SOLUTION that worked for me
Hi everyone I managed to get eveything back with my excellent and kind neighbour which is a app web developper
We installed an application that emulated a command line in the phone
We entered some lines found within this xda developpers forum
And it unlocked the USB debugging mode
We then searched and installed some ROM STOCK until we found the right one
It lounched a new version, I had to do a factory reset for everything to work properly
And thats it, brand new !
I canno't give you more details because we spent hours to do it and they were too many variable
But I wanted to tell here how we did it

Rather late than never. I followed this guide to install Decatf's AOSP 7.1 rom on my P7500 today. Works pretty nicely but haven't tested it fully. Not sure if the 3G modem is working but I mostly use it with wifi anyway.

[HELP] Samsung SM-G950F system & Os recovery ?

Hello,
Here is my problem.
2 days ago, I wanted to root my phone to get rid of any Google stuff (at this point I didn't know the existence of ADB commands :crying: ).
I followed a step by step youtube tutorial (youtube.com/watch?v=ZD-5twDm6XI), which works with TWRP, magisk and Odin (factory reset is needed).
Once everything is finished, my phone is finally rooted, and I grant superuser rights to Titanium app to uninstall google, and only SOME apps uninstalled totally (maps, chrome, facebook) BUT google play services won't uninstall. So, I try with System App Removal to uninstall google play stuff, and the same happens.
I reboot my phone, and it seems that everything disappeared... Not so sure... Indeed, the play store reinstall all applications as soon as I connect to the WiFi! and I have a persistent message "google play services stopped" that prevents me from browsing for example.
At this point, I use ADB commands, to remove anything which contains "com.blahblah.google.blahblah" and the play store (com.android.vending) with -k command. And it worked totally fine !!!!! I disconnect my phone, ready to backup my data. Idkw, i wanted to uninstall system app removal. IMPOSSIBLE from the phone, which says : "samsung One UI stopped" (I was in safe boot mode). My phone doesn't answer, so I reboot it.
Once it has booted, the TWRP menu screen appears. Ok, isn't that weird ? I swipe to allow changes, then I go to system to boot "normally" my phone.
A warning says : NO OS INSTALLED !!!! I don't understand, I panic, but finally boots my phone. Black charging screen. Forever.
I started first to flash an "official" Samsung ROM from Sammobile. TWRP indicates it is an invalid .zip, adb too. Odin doesn't manage to boot from the ROM too. I take a deep breathe and cry. Then I download the /e/ ROM which works fine !! but it has become impossible to backup my data from my samsung account....
So, I came to ask you a few things. WHY did it happen ? How can I be sure that there is no trace of TWRP anymore ? However, my phone storage is 64 GB and there is only 53,5 Gb free of internal storage !? Do you think the original firmware could be "hidden" in my files (e ROM is about 800Mos compressed) ?
It is stupid, but after my mistakes, I miss google...
I will do my best to reply asap.
Thank you for your help !
PS: -I'm a newbie in informatic, don't make things too complicated
-sorry for bad English, not my mother language
Google writes and distributes android.
There are many things in android that you cannot remove and still have a viable system.
imho you will have to flash a rom but we need your phones information (found in settings/system/about phone) model, version baseband, etc. etc
Others more knowledgeable can step in and help.

Thank you for your reply ! I've read your article about FRP but I'm afraid it's not my problem...
Here are some of my phone specifications :
model : SM-G950F
version baseband : G950FXXS8DTC1
OS : /e/ version 0.9-p-dev-dreamlte (LineageOS API : Ilama 9)
Android 9
I've been digging the web for ROMs but each time I feel unsecure about it (virus, etc...) so I hope maybe you have something trustworthy

I've been browsing through my root files and folders ( / ) ...
So :
/system is occupied with 2.33 GB
/vendor with 577 MB
/mnt with 9.01 GB
/proc with ... 236.9GB but every under-folder is empty... (explanations welcome !)
/storage is empty
If anyone could check on his device (S8 Exynos with android 9.0 Pie and One UI) if the files' sizes approximately matched, it would be great !
The one I just received is G950FXXS8DTC6 / G950FOXM8DTC1 / G950FXXS8DTC1 (after it took the Apr 1 update) so probably identical - a Yateley GU46 6GG UK phone. I am running it on ATT Prepaid(US) , which gave me the Apr 1 update. I don't know its history but it hasn't been modified - knox=0.
What you would need to do is get that zip and flash it with odin, but having no experience flashing the S8 myself, or any idea where to get that zip, I can be of no help to you. (I just came off a moto x4 which I ruined by flashing a couple custom rom's to try to help others on that forum - the blessings of Pie on that device!)(plus, taking the Apr 1 update on that phone requires a factory reset/wipe.) I needed a dependable phone here and in Europe on vacation.
Keep posting and ask someone to help you re-flash it.
EDIT: I wonder what a settings/general management/factory reset would do. But don't do one until someone here much more experienced with the S8 suggests it.
EDIT: WARNING WARNING WARNING -> Before flashing, ACTIVATE PIN in "Secure startup" (You'll be asked for it AFTER flashing!)
lockscreen and security / secure startup / require pin
I also see a note to delete your google account before doing this. Don't know if necessary.
EDIT: I believe I have found the rom - see pic This is from the SamFirm exe. 0.3.7 I put VOD for the region.
Remember: don't do anything with this until someone experienced in S8 tells you to!
Hi KrisM22,
I've already flashed with Odin, and I have talked about this on different forums, seen tutos on websites,... I hope this time it will work
I have the ROM required, selected activate pin, followed step by step the recommendations, and if I figured it out I will keep you up to date !

I flashed a ROM from https://www.imei.info/download-firmware/samsung/samsung-g950f-galaxy-s8/SM-G950F/ , then I just followed the steps and flashed with Odin. TWRP has disappeared (the classic recovery menu came back). I think I have found my issue with the "no OS installed" bug : it could be because I deleted the essential API com.google.android.packageinstaller, what may have prevented the phone from booting and launching the OS and its apps .
I should have read this excellent post before...
*I ran antivirus analysis with virustotal and Bitdefender, which both declared the extracted files were safe : I didn't notice anything different by my phone compared to the original OS too, so...

I need help Factory Reset or firmware download or downgrade to w58 Microwear

Hello friend, my name is Arthur and I'm from Brazil. As I was received by you, you noticed that I am the newest member of this forum, but I apologize for not having a good command of the English language. But I need to insist because I need urgent help!!! My story is long, but I'll try to make it short: "I bought a smartwatch model W58 8 Note Pro Microwear - which after installing one of the facewatches, presented a very strange error. Whenever I pressed the crown button to access the hive menu, the images showed a #bug and the smartwatch restarted". The application officially used by Microwear smartwatches is the "M.Active Pro" app - which does not have great features (mainly on the ios iphone) such as: "factory reset". Since then, my relentless search for an app that could link the device and that had functions such as: device reset, factory reset, OTA update, upgrade and downgrade began... Even with little knowledge, I searched for several days non-stop for a website that would provide the firmware that was compatible with my smartwatch, but I was unsuccessful. I contacted all the means I could find from the company Microwear and so far I have not received any answers. In the midst of despair and also unpreparedness, I used an app called "BX0X_OTA" that caused me great harm. Without having the slightest idea of mastering the app's language, I ended up "updating" by upgrading the smartwatch from some "unknown package" that already came with the app. That's when my despair increased: at this moment, the smartwatch turned off, it's vibrating non-stop, you can tell by the vibration that it tries to start but can't. My smartdevice simply won't vibrate and I've done all the procedures of "holding the buttons for 15sec to 20sec, I put it on the charger, but even so it doesn't light up and doesn't stop vibrating. some ble bluetooth scanner apps are still able to locate the device and even connect... but once again I need an app that can do a hard reset/factory reset/a firmware update or a firmware package download original to reinstall.
