Just a bug-fixing update ?

What bug did they fix? Double tap to wake up still there ....and phone idle is consuming battery for no reason

39.A.0.361 firmware was December security patch. 39.A.0.374 is only bug fixes but i don't now what bug fixes.

Maybe it's to address some of the Bluetooth issues some people have been reporting?

My phone used to stop charging altogether during heavy use when plugged into the mains, and didn't resume when left idle (you had to unplug and reconnect the charging cable to set the ball rolling again). That's now fixed having updated this morning (UK sim free handset)......

Hi guys, I've phone 2 days and newest firmware 39.a.0.374
and I haven't got battery drain.
Things I've done at the beginning:
Turn off preinstalled Amazon Shopping
Turn off preinstalled Sheet from Google
Turn off preinstalled AVG Protection
Turn off preinstalled Docs from Google
Turn off preinstalled Google Drive
Turn off preinstalled Google Play Videos
Turn off preinstalled Hangouts
Turn off preinstalled Lifelog
Turn off preinstalled Lounge
Turn off preinstalled Movie Createor
Turn off preinstalled GP Music
Turn off preinstalled News Suite
Turn off preinstalled Playstation App
Turn off preinstalled Mailbox (stock app not gmail)
Turn off preinstalled Spotify
Turn off preinstalled Sketch app
Turn off preinstalled Video TV SideView
Turn off preinstalled Xperia Tips
Turn off preinstalled Gallery from Google
maybe one of those app is battery draining?
But I have problems like the others with double tap to wake - phone needs 2-5 taps to wake

.374 UK Customised finally available!

Apps open and close much faster (try double tapping the overview button).
Then again, my phone rebooted, so it might just be because it's in a fresh state. Will see if performance degrades as I continue using my phone, but for now, app-switching is top-notch.

Got this update this morning, hope this fixes the Phone Idle battery drain bug which was top of my battery usage list more than OST.

Painful process to update your phone the right way. Because Sony certainly do not have a clue.
Lets see if this phone can actually perform now.

* Smoother scrolling through menus etc.. and swiping through the home screens..(im_IceMan)
* WiFi & BT + HBH-IS800 it is finally working you can surf the web via WiFi read email while listening to music via BT headset. I also noticed that BT range is better I can now roam the flat without loosing headset connection.(Kradovan)
* 1.smoother scrolling and smooth popping up of widgets menu.. 2. unlock screen doesnt lag.(Viditkalra)
* Geotags are now maintained when uploading to Picasa!(Murmeljenta)
Disasters
* In Call Volume Settings is not permanent. For example: A call comes and you increased the volume to 100%( It is pretty descent even in louder conditions). After the call, it reverts back to 50%.
* The options in the camera app are slightly different. I had previously set mine to tag images, but with the update, that was reset.(Murmeljenta)

I'll definitely agree with these (can't comment on the others yet). My system feels amazingly fast compared to how it did under 023. I can navigate FolderOrganizer as quickly as I select folders, whereas under 023 there was a delay each time it drew a folder. Everything just feels much more responsive.

Did you get the 026 firmware through SEUS, or did you root to it?
Because if you rooted to it, then the issue is with your root and not the firmware. Lack of paid apps is common after rooting. It often fixes itself within 24 hours, or requires some extra steps to fix.
I got it from seus no root and the application I an talking about is available if you switch back to 23 moreover this is a free application used for removing market search history.

Stupid autolock after call remains
I lost apps by updating to 026 also, I backed up my apps but some are "private" and cannot be backed up as a result I lost them and when searching the market they are not there. This includes ASTRO Pro, Tapatalk Pro and PayPal.
My phone is not rooted but I did de-brand it using Omnius, back to 016 at the moment as I have those apps back with 016.
This very annoying as the phone was improved on 020.

I agree - this is becoming ridiculous! Why wont SE fix the in call volume??? Instead they add extra software rather than fixing the biggest problem IMO of the X10 that you cant hear people when trying to make a call! This is infuriating me!

Yep. I've been rooted since they released the 023 root method. Rogers is too slow with releasing firmware updates, and I've been looking for some battery issues to be resolved (as well as wanting WiFi tethering and the ability to scrap all the SE preloaded software).

Xperia play update 4.0.a.2.368

So i just updated my phone to 4.0.a.2.368 and i noticed a lot of really nice changes. Since there aren't any official notes (or at least not ones i can find) i will be posting changes i noticed here along with personal opinion on some of them without a particular order...
xLOUD-The soundspeaker loudness is greatly increased and the sound is so much better.
Media Player-When you play a song the backround of the player changes to a color most noticable in the album art
-looks great
Infinity Button Upgraded-You can now search for artist on wikipedia, lyrics on google and karaoke videos on youtube.
-Finally the button is useful
Lock Animation-It is changed to an old-style tv turn off
-It looks great and kinda gives nostalgia
App Refresh on Reboot-Before i updated my phone every time i rebooted it I had to let it ''sit'' for 5 minutes so it loads all the apps from the sd card and if you opened the menu you would have to reboot it again...but now it shows an icon on every non-loaded app that quickly refreshes to give the real app
-yes yes yes my brother always said its the worst thing about this phone so now i can rub it in his face
Themes-Basically like wallpaper but changes the background of some apps like Messaging
Messaging-Now it opens up so much faster and has a different boot animation
Call handling-You can now manage what calls you receive and block
-I was always wondering why wasn't this already included,i mean all my older phones have it
Timescape-Doesn't freeze when you move the widget and scrolls a lot smoother,in addition Extension Manager has been added so you can get more content to Timescape from more sites and you can also see calls and messages.
Wireless Radio-It seems like its power is increased and you don't get disconnected from older routers altho i haven't been able to test this longer than 30 minutes.
Status switch Widget-The old 4x1 has been replaced with a new 3x2 one
-It looks ugly and it messed up my perfect widget arrangement
Weather widget-Pretty self explanatory
-Now i can delete space-consuming Weatherbug
Favorites and Recent Calls Widget-Also self explanatory
-Its huge but i guess it is useful and at least looks nice
Be sure to add stuff you notice and i will update more stuff tomorow
Be sure to say thanks...as you can see I'm a noob and a pioneer from my country
Already a thread about it. ;-)

Bad news for me, the OTA udpate fails on the fourth dot.
Does this mean I deleted an app that it checks to see if you are on stadard build>? Do I have to go back to Uk Generic and root then ota?

@nelly_boy & Xplay. If you have uninstalled anything from your phone after rooting. The ota update will fail.
As you have said nelly_boy you will have to reflash to 2.3.2 to get the stuff you deleted back then root then do the ota to get 4.0.a rooted.
@Xplay. You dont have to unroot to ota update. The whole point of updating using ota is to keep root.

That will be in the 2.3.4 update.
But I believe they enabled stereo sound recording for video.

Another update ZE551ML, no change log posted yet

Still [email protected] 5.0, hope camera and battery improves
Regarding the battery, there is something going on with kernel wakelock. It was held awake for 3.5 hours and lost 25% overnight. Could just be initial maintenance type OS stuff. Will check further if this issue continues. Battery life during actual use of the phone seems okay. Also, there may be an issue with calibration of % to actual life left. Will run it down all the way to see how it lasts on 1%.
The camera will be very difficult to improve. The lens is the lens and the sensor is the sensor. Software trickery can help with some things, but unlikely to improve much. That being said, the camera seems okay to me. Not the best I've seen, but have seen far worse. I'll have some comparisons up within the next few days.,
2.15.

Yes, if you looked at the screenshot, the latest update makes the kernel April 25, 2015, but sadly its still 3.10.20 (which is probably the part you care about and not the date.)

Mate 8 shuts off off voice-apps overnight

Hello, fine sirs.
I am curious on whether or not you have experienced the issue of calling apps such as Whatsapp or Kakao Talk shutting down after a few hours of use?
I like to sleep with the app still on, but after say 3-5 hours it shuts off automatically.
The apps are white-listed and battery is set to Performance. Neither of these options seem to help.
I don't have any other battery-managment apps installed which may shut down my battery consuming apps.
Any ideas?
Edit: I realize now this question may belong to Troubleshooting subforum. =/ But until deleted, I'll keep an eye here! Cheers.

Hi, that's some very specific information you've acquired! My version is NXT-L29C432B170, therefore one of the ones you've listed as should be working.
Still, if I don't access my phone after 3-4 hours as to "tell" it I still use the voice program, it closes. Sadly.

Then you have to try the newest L29C636B180 rom... You can install very easy with dload method(without root or unlocked bootloader) but you have to know that you will loose OTA update, online themes and 3g - 4g icons only with data closed (when you activate data the icons working perfectly)... But whenever new update for your version(C432) show up you can install it back with dload method and everything will work again (OTA THEMES...)
I have B180 almost a month and everything working great (my version is C636) and notifications... Unless you will have to wait at end of May for B321 to come as update to Europe version (C432) Now only Chinese AL10 has get it....
It's critical to know that every time you update you will have to restore the phone (format) to make sure that everything is set up for andand with new version
I have the L29C636B180 update.
I will note: Notifications for applications are coming more frequently now.
I also note [on the bad side]: Two of my essential apps that rely on automation & wake locks are not functioning properly.
a) Applications are in Battery Manager → Protected Apps
b) Applications are 'Allowed' in → Ignore Battery Optimizations
c) Battery Power Plan: Performance
My 2 applications which relies on timers and wake locks to enable/disable certain features have noted. Their applications are being killed & restarted despite being "whitelisted". They are:
a) Silence Premium
b) Situations
I have a Oneplus One on Marshmallow 6 and this does not happen. What is wrong with Huawei? What is wrong with EMUI. I should not have decided to buy a piece of hardware with software from PROC.
Is someone @huawei actually trying to reach out and fix issues??

Thanks for info!
The latest update has re-enabled Google Play Services (GPS) as the prime battery drainer. Not so much Android System, which is made to work overtime by GPS. I've confirmed this on my 6/64 ZB602KL after much monitoring.
My sequence of remedial action goes something like this (not necessarily in the exact order or method*):
Wipe cache partition after 331 update and use your phone normally for a day or so.
Then, with network and data on, open GPS in Settings->Apps and notifications->Show system.
Click on Storage. Clear cache and then click on Manage Space. Click Clear all data bar at the bottom a few times.
Return to the initial menu. Click on FORCE STOP and then click on the 3 dots at the top right. Choose Uninstall updates.
DISABLE.
Now re-enable GPS.
Scroll down to the bottom and click on App details. This will take you to Play Store where you can update GPS to the latest version again.
Launch Google based apps like Play Store, Gmail, Contacts, YouTube, etc to reconnect GPS and/or Android System to Google again.
Done. Excessive battery drain with 331 will still be there but not as bad as before.
* You may try this method or just uninstall updates from the beginning, clear data/cache, disable, enable and then update GPS again. I'm not very sure either as I'm still trying out this solution.
Either way, there seems to be a slight improvement in power drain after performing this unnecessary task - thanks to Asus' idea of "system optimization".
Good luck.
Edit: restart your phone after doing the above.

No worries. Uninstalling updates and clearing cache and data should be good enough, I think.
I think the battery issue is solved in the 334 update

The stand by battery drop during night until morning is good now. Woke up this morning and saw that not much battery percentage is affected on stand by.
