I'm gonna try and get a thread up in the Original Dev area this afternoon. Life has been quite busy lately (Uni interviews are dominating my life ). Has anyone got any problems they want to report?
Sorry for the lack of builds; my autobuild script has been a little buggy as of late. Think they're fixed now
Thanks to @ipdev for making this thread also

There's mention on the download site that "At the moment, this is all completely stock LineageOS code, so will encrypt your device". Is this true for the Nexus 7? Thanks.

No. It doesn't encrypt by default

Trying to get it flashed again now. First attempt said the file was corrupt. Getting the MD5 this time to make sure it works out

Wait...you said "no" and then "it does encrypt". I'm slightly confused. Will my tablet be encrypted if I install LineageOS? I'm currently running CM 14.1 and it did not require any encryption.

This sounds like an OpenGapps issue. I don't actually have Google Voice, so I can't replicate the issue. Sorry :-/

It works on my OnePlus One and on my Nexus 7 in aosp builds so it's hard to say.

Hey @hazzer, thanks for doing this. Quick question. installing thus unofficial version, Will it receive future updates from the official version when it comes out? Will the latest CyanogenMod be automatically updated to Lineage OS?
Beat regards and thanks again.

Can't wait to flash this rom! If I have the latest nightly available for CM, is it OK if I just flash this rom without wiping data?

Not sure if I would recommend it but, it did work. (Dirty flash.)
I would recommend making a backup before you try. (Just in case.)
Sent from my Nexus 7 using XDA Labs
Note :
My primary one (clean install) seems to run smoother that my secondary (dirty flashed over cm.)

Yes, you can just dirty flash to the LineageOS official nightlies. The latest CM won't be automatically updated, you will have to flash the first LineageOS build, and then you'll get updates.

CyanogenMod for Nexus 7 2013

My previous boyfriend bought me a new Nexus 7 (the 2013 edition), and rooted it for me.. He also did something called unlocking the boot loader and installed a new recovery called TWRP I think... I have been receiving notices of updates since then (directly from google - ota?) and they don't work, so I was wondering if there was anyone that had already tried the latest Cyanogenmod on it? I've had that loaded on previous devices in the past and it worked great!
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
yes, download the lasted CM from Kangs in the developer section, and install that. the updates that you keep getting are already included.
Always love me some CM, been running it since the unofficial releases were out, Now running the nightlies.

Thank You for the tip. I saw that one in the developer section; how does it compare to the one originally from CyanogenMod?

What ROM will you suggest?

Hi guys,
my wife's phone died, so I found my brother's old nexus s. With official ROM it's kind of slow, so is there any custom ROM you will suggest to install? As long as is fast and stable, that's fine
Thx

There's a chart for that...
For my mom (she has my ns) I put jellybean 4.1.2 jz054m on it with the aosp 3.0.71 aosp devil kernel.. No features, but xposed is a thing.. Before I shipped it I tested it at 7days standby time or 3-4hrs sot.. Not fast, but for crespo it is.. 284/283 on geekbench..
Thx mate, will try it later today
I find Cyanogen 11 quite usable. There are "nightly" versions that even contain security updates from 2016. Older Android versions might be attackable due to various security holes.
I would install Nexus S Nightly build: https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=crespo
For Google Play you'll need CM 11 "small" gapps.
Basically Android 4.4.4 with the Android Security Bulletins patched in. Just checked with AndroidVTS. And according to the app cm-11-20160523 is still vulnerable to CVE-2015-3636 (nasty apps can gain root) and CVE-2015-6616.
I might take a stab at getting that patched. But I have no clue where to go, since the Cyanogenmod JIRA bug tracker doesn't even contain a 'crespo' device anymore.

I already complained about that (See http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-s/development/unable-to-create-bug-report-cm11-jira-t3357978). It seems that CM11 has been more or less been abandoned by Cyanogen, and the "nightly builds" run unattendedly. Maybe the only way to really remove bugs or improve the system is to get the source code and run the compiler.

Official CM14.1 (now lineageos 14.1) available for V410

update: the official lineageos 14.1 rom is available for download: download.lineageos.org/v410.
The first official cm14.1 build is available for https://download.cyanogenmod.org/?device=v410
You can download correspoinding gapps from http://opengapps.org/
When you flash the cm14.1 rom, in recovery there will be an error "E: unknown command [log]", just ignore it.
If you want to replace the built-in root manager with supersu:
download the bump script from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/bump-supersu-t3273251
download the beta supersu from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/apps/supersu/2014-09-02-supersu-v2-05-t2868133
Disable the built-in root manager in developers options, then in recovery, flash the bump script first and then flash the beta supersu.
Awesome. I noticed the v400 CM13 have stopped, any chance anyone knows if it's going to get CM14 as well?
Wifi autoconnect
After system restart the WiFi does not autoconnect but I have to manually go to settings/wifi and connect from there. Once connected stays connected. Have not found a solution yet. using TWRP 3.0.2 and CM 14.1 20161225-nighlty-v410

invisiblek is still the V410 device maintainer. I'd suggest posting some logs and mention him over in the official CM thread.
Other than the WiFi bug, how's performance?
Aside from WiFi not connecting after sleep/startup and possibly eating your cell data it's great. Amazing how nougat speeds up old devices. BTW I flashed TWRP 3.1.1.0 from here:
https://dl.twrp.me/v410
I flashed back to the prerooted 4.2.2 kdz, reflashed TWRP and LOS 14.1 0331 nightly, still has WiFi issue. Even with the WiFi issue I like this rom best.
Any updates on the WiFi issue?
Thanks. Sent him a PM.

AOKP Nougat build out now.

Today, AOKP released their first Nougat build for our Shamu!
https://basketbuild.com/devs/aokp/shamu
EDIT: Was confirmed that it was a mistake and Nougat isn't yet being made for our shamu, false alarm.
Been soooo long since I've ran an AOKP build.

Confirmed is not a Nougat build. I posted on their G+ page and one of the devs said it was a mistake and removed it. He also said it's not being built "yet"

problem on rom. i flash mm old rom and work
Figured I would blow the dust off this thread to say that it looks like some magic is happening.
http://xfer.aokp.co/?developer=AOKP&folder=shamu
With a size of '0.0 Mb', I guess the only magic happening is a bricked phone.
I LOVED Aokp ... all I ran on my N4 until they stopped..... I MAY try it... but I finally found a perfect stable ROM at the moment that has SMartBar. AOKP was the first one I found that I could edit Navigation bar .... can't have it any other way now.

Mokee100.0 for z17

Since there is no thread for this just yet, and I noticed they started doing nightly builds voor android 10 based mokee, I figured it was time for it's own thread...
any thoughts inputs? no one posted about this on xda yet... but I noticed @Spencer_D for instance already gave it a shot (saw your post on the mokee forums, not gonna link to that though )
so I'm curious about your findings, and that of anyone that might have tried to give this a shot... I'm eager to try it myself, but is google apps available for android 10, or would gapps 9.x work?
anyone still hapyp with their z17 or is everyone looking for a newer phone, with more developers? ^_^
It is not ready for being my daily drive.

It is flashed with no problems. The main problems are: battery life, no root (boot can't be signed after magisk installed, many twrp versions tried), strange autobrightness at some light conditions, some apps fc.
