Technically you can, but there is little point in not having root & having TWRP & you need TWRP to flash this.

Sorry i dont know.....
I made this script for my P9 L09 b182 firmware (Marshmallow).
I would make a backup to be sure before trying this.
And yes..... Install with twrp.
Let me know if it works

It didn't seem to work. The script runs but for example Gmail and YouTube were not removed. But something strange is going on. Because twrp can't backup the data partition. Don't know why, it's starts the backup but after a second or two is stops with an error (forgot which error number). I guess the problem behind that is the same reason why de debloat script doesn't work. But ok, it's on a p9 lite not a P9. But just to let you know.

Nougat installation method

I read this, someone tested?
http://www.theandroidsoul.com/huawei-p9-firmware/
For stable Huawei P9 Nougat update, Build Bfff, download the above two files and save them to here → Internal Storage > HwOUC > vvvvv. Create the folders if need be. This is where your device stores update files. Once you out the files there, it should automatically detect them.
If I understand the translation.
Internal storage creates HwOUC file with a file number V (firmwareFinder version)
Put update.zip and HW DataFull.zip.
And it would be automatically detected at the update. ???

[GUIDE] Enable call recording on MHA-L29 (need root)

Hi everyone
I'm not responsible for any damage to your phone if you followed this guide, it's on your responsible.
this guide is to enable call recording on non-chinees version for Mate 9 MHA-L29
first you need to be rooted I used this toutrial to root with SuperSU
thanks to @eddmecha and @ante0
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-9/how-to/guide-how-to-root-mate-9-decrypt-data-t3569986
Download this file and put on your phone and extract it
https://mega.nz/#!OkgTTYKI!4AVXfEvkj7lp-KkQAVY9Je79E0h_fb9Py1t4c8BlsAo
first take a copy from HwCallRecorder folder and paste it to following directions
(if you didn't find any below directions make them)
/data/dataapp
/system/app
/hw_init/cust/hw/**Your region code**/app/
For me it's like this
/hw_init/cust/hw/meafnaf/app/
then go to /system/build.prop and add these lines to the end of the file
ro.config.hw_voicerecord=true
ro.config.callrecord.enabled=1
then go to this folder cust-hw-region-xml and copy all files to this direction
/cust/hw/**your region**/xml
then go to this folder hw_oem-xml and copy all files to this direction
/hw_oem/xml
apply merge replace if it asks
then make a reboot
now test it if it work (maybe it will give you an error, if so make a reset from settings and DO NOT check Erase internal storage)
I will upload a video as a prove it's working

Did you get this working on a p9 plus? If so, please can you make a video of what you did because I'm struggling to interpret the instructions. Also, where do you find your region code?
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide.

This seems to be default for C432B190. It shows Record when making a call. Recording ends up in Recorder app.
hello, is this method works for MHA-AL00 (chinese model)? I don´t have /data/dataapp route... where should I put those files? Thanks in advance.

MHA-AL00 has Call Recording out-of-box.
How to make this run automatically? I remember in b190 it has this function but now I come to b198 and there is no call recorder in my phone setting anymore.

[TOOL] Password/pin/pattern removal tool flashable in TWRP

Hi, I'm a lazy bastard, and I also rock a number of ROMs. It's such a pain to remember my previous pattern lock if I want to restore a TWRP backup from a different ROM. I found this easy method to get rid of security.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/themes/tool-remove-lockscreen-password-pin-t3692411
When you are ready to use it, just restore your ROM backup in TWRP; Flash this Unlock_PIN_PW.zip; When your phone boots up you should have no pesky security problems.
Works good?

You can also just delete all gatekeeper.* and locksettings.* files under /data/system after restoring the backup.
Under 8.X ROMs there is just a locksettings.db file, if I'm right.

Hi, I'm a lazy bastard, and I also rock a number of ROMs. It's such a pain to remember my previous pattern lock if I want to restore a TWRP backup from a different ROM. So I made a flashable zip that automates the process of deleting the five /data/system files associated with security after I restore a ROM.
Please be aware that this may not work if you have encrypted /data. If any brave soul wants to test it, let me know.
So, directions are:
Download Unlock_PIN_PW.zip from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3gcDbDvV4MkWXRHTUswY3JSYnc
Place it in your /sdcard or otg for safe keeping (you never know when you might need it)

Question 2: Is the also flashable zip for Google camera and AR stickers?
Appreciate your help and reply.

You can try to replace files in system directly, though no idea why would you want to do that. If you can't find flashable zip, unpack Magisk module and replace system files with those in module + modify build.prop accordingly. Don't forget to set correct files permissions (use info from original files or from Magisk module). Same applies to Google camera with AR stickers. Keep stock system.img at hand in case you screw something up.

I want to remove Mi Feedback on the stock ROM as I don't feel comfortable with the data collection. Can I use this method https://www.xda-developers.com/uninstall-carrier-oem-bloatware-without-root-access/

Did you read it? It says:
Therefore, even if you “uninstall” a system application using this method, you can still receive official OTA updates from your carrier or OEM.

Thanks for your help, I tested if OTAs work and they install just fine, may I ask what does PAI do for you to want to uninstall it? According to what I've read all it does is install the mi apps from the playstore and define the home screen layout.
