[TOOL] Password/pin/pattern removal tool flashable in TWRP - Moto Z ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Developm

Hi, I'm a lazy bastard, and I also rock a number of ROMs. It's such a pain to remember my previous pattern lock if I want to restore a TWRP backup from a different ROM. I found this easy method to get rid of security.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/redmi-note-4/themes/tool-remove-lockscreen-password-pin-t3692411
When you are ready to use it, just restore your ROM backup in TWRP; Flash this Unlock_PIN_PW.zip; When your phone boots up you should have no pesky security problems.

Works good?

You can also just delete all gatekeeper.* and locksettings.* files under /data/system after restoring the backup.
Under 8.X ROMs there is just a locksettings.db file, if I'm right.

Hi, I'm a lazy bastard, and I also rock a number of ROMs. It's such a pain to remember my previous pattern lock if I want to restore a TWRP backup from a different ROM. So I made a flashable zip that automates the process of deleting the five /data/system files associated with security after I restore a ROM.
Please be aware that this may not work if you have encrypted /data. If any brave soul wants to test it, let me know.
So, directions are:
Download Unlock_PIN_PW.zip from here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3gcDbDvV4MkWXRHTUswY3JSYnc
Place it in your /sdcard or otg for safe keeping (you never know when you might need it)

+1 for this.
With the official Froyo, supposedly, coming out anytime now I'd love to know how I can backup all my apps.

Deodex+root for fw S5830XWKPN

new build that i can confirmed myself it works, fixed white bootscreen. do refer screenshots as proof.
download: http://jumbofiles.com/knlp28r40tn6/Update_Deodex_Root_S5830XWKPN_Signed.zip.html
md5 checksum: 37a036b00345bbf75c8419a387974d5d
old version that i think got many problem. dont use this. just as reference:
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/33790909/update.zip
mirror: http://www.multiupload.com/0NT1I02NGU
requirement: obviously ur galaxy ace with fw S5830XWKPN installed
howto install: copy Update_Deodex_Root_S5830XWKPN_Signed.zip to ur microsd card, and just flash via default recovery.
howto install this and still got latest cfroot b80 kernel support:
1- flash my Update_Deodex_Root_S5830XWKPN_Signed.zip zip package via default recovery.
2- flash CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b78_recovery.zip via default recovery.
3- flash CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b80_boot.zip via cwm.
issue: doesnt work if u flash this via cwm. see above.
disclaimer: standard disclaimer applies, i wouldnt be responsible if bla3.. u know the drill
last and not least, special thanks to dsixda for his awesome creation, htc android kitchen. without that tool, this would be harder and painfull
thanks! Did you apply CRT animation? Most of the time, adding # to the debug line causes the white bootscreen.

[Root][CWM][Unbloat] A200 one click tools

Hi everyone,
Today we have a one click root tool and an unbloat tool. Both work very well and I in no way take credit for these tools.
First off is SimpleTool by hbwelch.
This tool creates a one click bootloader unlock, root, and clockworkmod CWM recovery.
It works great and I have tested all three functions.
Download: AcerA200 SimpleTool V2
The unbloat tool by Toffy seems to work well. I do have a hand full of apps that still refuse to let me remove them but at least we can get rid of most of it.
I was told this link was not in my best interest to be hosting so it has since been taken down
These developers can be found at the Acertabletforum website.
Thank you to hbwelch and Toffy for your work!
Acer A200 BRICKED. cannot mount /data /sdcard

The "Unbloat" tool has a bunch of copyrighted APKs in it. It's probably not allowed here on XDA

I would say if anything it is questionable ground. The tool is only trying to remount the apps so they can be removed. It isn't exploiting the copyrighted material.
Can .apks even be copyright protected?

Download the tool zip and you'll see that the actual APKs are in there. The tool /should/ just move them via ADB. It would make for a tiny download too

That would make more sense. I didn't create the tool though. Until I am certain the tool is against XDA policy I will keep it available. I don't believe there is anything wrong legally with simply having the APK. If that were the case Titanium Backup could also be in the wrong by backing up your system apps to a user accessible location.

Well no Titanium doesn't break any laws because it doesn't upload your APKs to rapidshare
I don't mind the tools being available but I wouldn't want you being banned for trying to help either the mods can get quite pedantic sometimes. I've already had a week's ban and I didn't even upload anything illegal to xda. I think I posted a link to a forum that was deemed bad. Lolol

[Q] Flash-proof Xposed?

Hi all,
Is it possible to have Xposed Framework survive a nightly flash? Some zip that can be dropped in the FlashAfterUpdate folder (just like SuperSU) maybe?
I believe i saw sth like this in the "flash after update" thread in the "omni general" forum. U should have a look there.
Sent from my Find 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
There is also an addon.d script which will prevent it from being wiped in the first place, this eliminating the need to have a separate zip flash it.

For functionality, yes. But for safety, app_process.orig as well.

You can make it yourself by using the template Omni provides, or search the Xposed thread (I believe it's linked in the first or second post of that thread).

You could also let app_process.orig go away and move the freshly installed app_process to app_process.orig in the pre-restore hook.

I need help making an app systemized.

I recently rooted my phone for pokemon go spoofing purposes. Thank you to physwizz for helping me with that. However I have tried using link2sd and it hasn't worked. It says /system not found in /proc/mounts and using lucky patched it takes it to system/priv-apps but I need it in /apps . And using adb it says the same thing as link2sd. Please help. The app I want to systemize is fake gps joystick from appninja. Please help me. Thanks.
Use root explorer to save it into/system/app
Put it on a folder
Is there a way to differentiate between system apps and user converted apps.
