I would like to request your help in this case:
I bought a Xiaomi Redmi Pro Exclusive from Aliexpress, this seller: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Ori...RAM-128GB-ROM-Mobile-Phone-5/32763899877.html
But in one minute the capacitive buttons stop working, the rest works fine. When I do hard reset, it works during few minutes but once I press the buttons, they stop working. I am afraid it is a problem related to the LCD... Did you have any problem similar?
My problem is that the seller is rejected any proposal. I made a video he asked me for:
1>> Please turn on the cellphone and dial *#06# to show the IMEI number and make sure the IMEI number is clear in the vedio. We need record it.you can not show the IMEI in this way .please show the IMEI on the phone box and the original film with stickers if you still keep them. We will accumulate the data to improve our "Quality Control".
2>> set the phone to "factory setting" ( you may backup the data before recording the video)
3>> Press " about phone " to show us the version of the MIUI.
4>>Dial *#*#6484#*#* to test "Key"
4>> Show us the problem about the button can not use in the video.
But then I received this answer:
I have checked the video you offered.
1.But sorry for we can not found the imei number in our database. WTF????
2.For the button.i have contacted with the xiaomi after-sale department,
The unofficial film could also effet the button.
3.With the video you offered.
The way you check the button is not right. WTF????
You need to press the button directly.not press the display. WTF????
So please make a new video to show us steps below:
1.Please turn on the cellphone and dial *#06# to show the IMEI number and make sure the IMEI number is clear in the vedio. and please show the IMEI on the phone box and the original film with stickers if you still keep them. we need to record it.
2.Remove the flim to press the button,
3.Dial *#*#6484#*#* to test "Key" (When test . please press the button directly to show the issue.)
Then upload the video to Aliexpress.
I will do it again, but I would be glad if you could give any advice on how to answer and make the video. If there is not an agreement I am afraid I would have to buy the LCD (around 70 pounds) and give them to a corner shop to do it as I do not want to take the risk.

First time post so here goes...
I'm looking at developing a little black box that will translate the button presses on my BMW 3 series (might work for 5 series as well...) and use these to move up and down and make calls from the Speed Dial list.
I'm trying to replicate the operation of the XDA2 's physical buttons. Namely Pressing the Green call key takes you to the phone app. Then using the up and down buttons on the four way then takes to to the speed dial list and then move up and down it. Then the Green call button calls that number. Finally Red to hang up. Also green to answer a call.
My question is: Is it possible to send serial codes to the XDA2 through the serial pins on the connector to mimick the actions of the physical buttons??? Alternatively I could write a new phone app that listens for serial codes and does the same but if it is possible to mimick the buttons life would be a lot simplier... and would not require extra software to be loaded.

Hello,
when I do a call on my HD and put the touchscreen out, the device isn´t looked. Badly sometimes I touch the some of the four buttons at the device especially when the HD is in the pocket. So the device is hanging the call up or do something like "hold the line".
Is it possible to protect the device so that this could never happen? Its very stupied when you do a call and suddenly the call is gone because you press by mistake the button.
I hope you could help me with my question.

I think this doesent match my search. I want to look the device in a call, the other works perfect with PocketShild. But my problem with the call is not solved in this program

Did you mean that you do a call over the headset and leave your HD in the pocket?
Yes I do... i make a call over my headset and out it in the pocket back
I just read this post (regarding the Touch Pro / Raphael). I don't know if it helps or if it applies to the HD as well. See the second entry there by aussieak. I don't quite understand what he is saying - but maybe it's because I'm a newbie at this.
Let us know if it helps. I'm sure more people would be interested in finding a solution to this.
EDIT: I just searched Google and found this other post in a Sprint forum. It is about the HTC Touch (not the HD), but apparently pressing the power button at the top in that case should indeed turn off the screen without powering off the phone. Others suggested using third-party software like S2U2, which apparently can be set to lock the screen when a call is answered. This YouTube Video shows the settings screen (at 39 seconds into it, you see the "Blank screen on talk" option). Some people wrote that it works great for them and others say that it is not 100% reliable. Others suggested this program - but unlike S2U2, it is not free. It costs about 13 dollars.

By "unlock" do you mean to activate the touchscreen? If so, just press the power button right on top of the phone.

Hello,
you can use XperiaTweak to select that the screen stays ON during a call.
If that is the case then, just press 'unlock' at any time to unlock the phone. However, I think that the phone's keypad is already unlocked when receiving a call and stays that way during that call.
Also, I have selected in Settings/Lock to wakeup phone by pressing ANY key/button. I prefer that to this 'power button only' thing.

You can also Hang Up and End the Call by just pressing the End button on bottom of phone! Its Hardware and NO need to unlock phone at all

Hi, I recently obtained a Venue Pro but when I turn it on it shows a black screen with the clock, an emergency call button, and a legend asking me to "Try again in [6+ digit number] minutes". If I hold the camera button it efectively opens the camera application, but that's all it does. Is there a way to restore it to defaults or force install a manual update, maybe?
Also, if I hold the camera button when I turn it on, it doesn't go further than the Dell boot screen but I can plug it into my computer and it will recognize it. If I open Zune with the phone plugged it it will show a restoration error.
Any help?
Sounds like the device is pin locked. Obtain the pin from the seller or report the device to the police and contact your credit card company that the item you recieved was stolen and you need a chargeback (refund)

If I make or receive a call on my Redmi Note 4G the screen goes blank and stays blank until the call is ended.
Whether the phone is near my ear or not.
I couldn't even click end call.
*solution*
1. Press to make a call and type the following numbers to get to the hidden menu.
2. *#*#64663#*#*
3. Go to number 7 (proximity sensor)
4. Follow instructions and calibrate the sensor

Thank you for this information. I don't have the problem but it's interesting to know about the menu. For the record, it's also possible to get there through Settings, Additional settings, About phone, and four taps on the Kernel version (works for me on MIUI6 China Developer 5.1.23 version).
After calibration, how do you test the MENU button? It takes me back to the home screen.
The rest of the buttons - Volume UP & DOWN and BACK test fine.

Try long tap menu button, by default normal tap is task switcher, long tap is menu function. You can change it in settings.
