For Residents of INDIA Only...LG G4 TWRP and Custom Rom Issues...Reward of Rs.1000... - G4 General

Hello
I have an LG G4 bought from eBay.in and It came with the usual LG stock android OS.
Now the PROBLEM is
1- that it shows in the About menu --> Hardware Info --> LG-H815
2- on its back (internal) it is labeled as H811
3- in the ADB it shows as LGLS991
It came rooted with SuperSU, and i have literally did what i could do from what i have learned on xda to flash TWRP on it but i was not successful.:crying::crying::crying:
Now the thing is that I am willing to give Rs.1000 to the person who can do this for me. I can come anywhere in INDIA (Favorably North and Middle India like Delhi, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh etc ) to the person who agree to Flash latest TWRP in my LG G4 + Latest Marshmallow LG stock rom.:victory:
Anyone who is confident to do this can call/message me on +918085612340 or mail me at [email protected]
Please guys i need the help kindly share my problem to everyone who can solve.

dude your G4 looks refurbished one.
probably LG Sprint version MB with other version Access I think.
Sprint version have Root Only. they doesn't have TWRP or any other recovery.
so don't mess with your G4.
Play safe....:fingers-crossed:

Brother I understand what you are saying but I just cannot look at a phone without TWRP or a Custom ROM...I'm even willing to pay more if someone can do it.

I suggest you check your IMEI, If it's null or unusual, I think you better not mess with it, or you'll likely get bricked.

Anyone have an LG Leon LTE stock ROM?

I was tinkering with my new T-Mobile LG Leon LTE (MODEL NO : LG-H345) and broke the cellular service (installed Xposed for Lollipop and com.android.phone keeps stopping, tried Fix Permissions, doesn't work). Does anyone here have a Leon LTE or just have the stock ROM laying around? I've got TWRP installed, so that's not a problem.
I can make a back up but i have the lg Leon MS345 (metro PCs)

This links to H345 not MS345, IT'S NOT METRO FIRMWARE. The person who asked needed T-Mobile so they probably ran into no problem, but notice the file name on mega download. Thanks though, have you flashed HH firmware on MS devices? Does it work, what differences are there?

It is for Metro, I test it , wel there are some difference like you have Voice calls via Wi-fi, the notification bar have small changes too , but not a big deal and it's android 5.1.1 . For me Signal wasn't working cause i'm at Greece
no
no it's for T-Mobile, i flashed it and it's got tmobile boot and apps, but a locked boatloader that won't allow me to install twrp, so wheres the " i knew what i was talking about " button? oh thanks, ive now got a basic not really supported T-Mobile device. A little misinformation and lack of due diligence just took the fun out of owning this device.

Anyone have the stock ROM, kdz, for LGL33L? LG Sunset.
I've asked elsewhere but so far, nothing.
I was in the same problem because last month I got a new LG Leon (H340Y) with all that annoying icons and boot screen the carrier use to put. So, I was looking for a stock ROM without all of it. Googling here a there I've found this page
lg(dash)firmware(dash)rom(dot)com
Hope it works.

[Q] LG G4C H525N Root? & General Discussion

Hello All,
just wanted to start some ware for all the LG G4c Users to share info on Root guides etc etc,, and general discussions about the device, being a new device there's limited info available from what I have found and weather the Root process or tools used to Root work the same as its big brother the G4,,
So if you have any links or info on gaining Root on the G4c or even custom Roms if they exist yet!! again if there ported from G4 would they work possibly?,,

I've asked this before but from what people have told me if it's a differently designed phone. It cant be rooted the same way. Though they might not know what their talking about so if anyones willing to try it out with theirs and tell us if it works here's a guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/discussion-unlock-root-situations-please-t3122752
They are pretty identical, but one is an MTK, the G4c is a snapdragon 401.I bought the G4 to see if it's really more powerfull even if a lot of reviews says that 1GB of ram is not enaught to make a fast experience like a G4, but I don't trust MTK so much (and I knew that the MTK model has line problem), plus this is LTE.
Actually I bought it for the cameras, if a root won't be out soon I'll send it back and I'll go for the MTK one.
Sorry for the OT, but I'm pretty tired of the very low quality of my S3 Neo cameras, I'll do some test tomorrow, but even tonight I had some shameful camera lags with the S3 neo... :-/
Looks like I'm the only one with that phone...actually I'm waiting for root to test it, but if the LG backup app will do a good job maybe I will try it this week.
The Huge problem is that I like to "clone" my phones apps with titanium and have them all even in the secondary phone, and I can't do that there since no root.
I just will check cameras and lagginess I have a month to send it back to amazon, if no solution will be found I'll switch to the cheaper MTK one even if I HATE mtk...
Interested
Recently bought a LG G4c (H525n) phone. I'm interested in achieving root so any info is thankful

It's scam, to get the app you must compile a questionary and the app is scam otherwise somebody would alredy have been linked it!
we are still stuck, maybe because it's just an european version? I bought it on german amazon, if somebody would tell me that cameras are identical I would send it back and get the cheaper one instead, but actually I don't trust MTK, specially for signal and GPS
Actually we can survive unrooting, for adaware and cerberus, but the internal memory is 3GB and I can'r even restore the 4,6GB backup made from lg 4G since the card can be formatted only with FAT32 :-/
And the worts part is that LG backup is a SINGLE FILE!!!! I will try with other apps, I use it a secondary phone to take so nice selfie (s3neo both cameras are crap....) so if someone know ow to fit a 4,6GB gile int he fat32 let me know.
I already googled, but no answers: it's an european model and looks like the great coocker are from USA or asia Have a nice holiay!

Lg G4 Korean Versions F500x All-in-one Thread

This thread purpose is to collect all up-to-date data and files on LG G4 Korean Versions
I personally own a F500l version which is form U+ carrier (unlocked)
Since I bricked the phone once, and successfully recovered it, I decided to share the info I have.
Hardware wise the phone is similar to 815, but modem firmware is different, country specific stuff, etc
Custom recovery
Boot is locked, no custom recovery. Tried flashing with flashfire, no luck
Lgviet.com has video twrp working f500l but no downloads
F500L Latest 5.1 ROM 11i ROOT
rooted system + tools (courtesy of lgviet.com)
11i rooted
If you are on lower system - upgrade with OTA until you reach 11i
after that download easy root tool
rename 11i rooted system image to rootedsystem.img and place it to phone`s internal memory
Launch easy root tool and follow instructions
Latest 6.0 ROM 20d root info
Available form LG Bridge
No root for now, our bootloader is locked, means no kernel modifications, means no root
since MM requires kernel mods for root.
My experience with 6.0 doze is nice, but I get same idle battery drain with Amplify+power nap
Wil post my settings later
Lgviet.com bootloader unlock for f500l is not available for now (I even registered there, but website has everything but download link )
You can convert your phone to 815 by following guide here by redhatux
Below is my experience with conversion.
I did, however was not able to get f500l back as a phone model, and the reception was not flawless, also after you change it in this way, keep in mind, that to get back to stock you have to edit build.prop (which in my case was not possible to do, since phone boot looped after I flashed Genesys rom with Flashfire) My fault, of course
So I got a soft brick in this way, went to LG service center, they had restored 11i rom for free never asking if I played with customs etc ( Korean service rox, thanks guys)
Although now,I think, that probably I would have been able to restore on my own, since LG BRIDGE for win was detecting phone and was ready to flash 20d, but I couldn't (because of usb connection issues (Long story short: I use Win 8 under parallel tools under osx, got too much drivers from different phones. recently cleaned it, everything works)) My opinion is before you flash a rom from 815, you better make backup of all partitions that are rewritten and you will restore from your own phone, and not use redhatus backups ( he provides it on his thread). perhaps thats why I did not get the reception back( Flashed& restored backup more than 3 times)
Conclusion: proceed with extreme caution.
I will see if rooted 11i stock has a decent battery life, and it should, since there is an option to switch off wdcma, lte and gsm frequencies ( see my battery post below) which 815 roms are lacking.
To downgrade to Lollipop use full stock tot file for f500l 5.1 ver 11d
flash with LGUP
full tot file
link
mirror for F500l, f500S
Battery life, ok with mods some info below:
I am able to get 4.5 hours SOT, under heavy use
1 hour of 720p video, 1 hour of skype,40 mins of viber (video calls) ,30 min of web browsing.
a little gaming.
Al of this with with radio frequencies disabled, cpu&gpu frequencies lowered, xposed+ amplify.
otherwise 2.5 SOT
On 11i stock (probably on older roms) you can make battery life better by disabling the unused frequencies.
Enter 5457#*500# in your dialer
select Multi band Selection, then
Check the wcdma and lte frequencies used in your country and uncheck that you don't use.
Since I am in Korea now, I use WCDMA2100
For Russia, for instance, its gonna be WCDMA2100 and WCDMA900
With kernel auditor, I changed BIG max frequency to 1248 mhz,
governor to ondemand, governor tunables Powersave_bias 1
Little MAX Frequency to 960
governor ondemand ( same settings)
IO Scheduler: noop
GPU max frequency: 600
Also I installed Snapdragon battery guru, limiting app sync to only when I use it.
What I have got afterwards: solid 6 hours of SCREEN TIME under heavy use!

Pcmark battery test lasted 6 hours with 3g + wifi data.

Great tips for battery life

I don`t have this information from a reliable source.
When I went to service center with softbrick the engeneer offered me to replace MB,so perhaps its a common issue.
However, history of using korean versions of samsung phones proves that they are better quality.
Hope its true for LG as well.

This is a common occurance with G4. In Korea, MM update was pulled by LG for a while b/c it was causing HARDWARE failure! ONLY FIX was to switch out the board. The Korean forums were full of people complaining of this issue. Most common was surfing the net would cause the phone to reboot, then boot loop. In Korea, you can go to a service center, show them your phone, and the board will be replaced in less than an hour. Other common problems are screen ghosting, screen burn in, touch screen lagging...ect. People seems to have accepted the fact that if a G4 malfunctions, the most likey fix will be switching out the board. Luckly my G4 has been working fine since the day one, but I haven't updated to MM. I never update to a new OS when it first comes out. I've had my bad experiences with bugs and incompatible apps and what not whenever a new OS comes out. I think of them as somewhere between alpha and beta. never mind the code change that blocks some mods.
Sorry, I digress. Other people have reported similar symptoms, even if they didn't update to MM. They also say, the launch day released version of the phone ususally has this problem.

I'm using LG-F500L on lastest marshmellow firmware
but i don't have any problem / screen bug or etc
i think we need to factory reset after upgrading marshmellow from lollipop
luckily we have powerful backup tool without root, LG Backup
I'm using a f500s and luckily have had no problems with my release day phone. I did reset immediately after upgrading to MM. I'm kind of disappointed that the bootloader is locked down as I probably wouldn't have jumped into contract if known. Won't make that mistake again! Keeping an eye out for something else as I figure a teacher will be happy to take over my contract.
Brothers i did a bad mistake i buyed phone f500s that was converted to h815 on 5.1. ? was not working properly specially when i use flash. I found the tot file of f500s 5.1 and flashed it back to orignal version with octoplus. Unfortunately after booting its just stuck on "Security error" with Lg logo.
Any one with a solution

try lgviet.com with google translate ( if your vietnamese is not good)
other option is to dump your system partition and ask autoprime to inject root (he said he can do it in his root post here at xda)
Also, guys, can anybody enter the modem settings on f500l ?
5457#*500# - Wireless modem settings - but then it asks for 8 numbers password.
any idea ?

Yeah and apparently cricket has it for $49.99 with an unlock code from ebay running around $5. With the poor support from alcatel it's not a phone I'd recommend to anyone anymore. I've moved onto a new device as have several others although I keep hoping alcatel might surprise me.
I get better performance with my $50 at&t go phone zte zmax2 (z958) which doesn't even have a root method.

You seem much more knowledgeable with the Idol 3 than me, I purchased the phone used from Craigslist, apparently the previous owner had an older version of TWRP on the phone and thought he was rooted but still on LP, anyhow after getting phone home there were some weird issues and random force close of system apps, so I factory reset it, and it bootlooped on me, I used mobil upgrade Q and it updated it to MM, its now running pretty good with no issues, but now im stuck with no fastboot or access to unlock bootloader, install TWRP and root. I know I can use the Panasonic Eluga Switch method to downgrade. My question is,if anything goes wrong or I manage to screw up something, will the Eluga Switch software change anything on the phone that will prevent me from running mobil upgrade Q again and installing factory firmware?? I'm just worried that if the Eluga Switch changes anything that will prevent the mobil upgrade software from recognizing the phone, and leaving me with a brick :crying:

You should asks your questions in the Q&A forum rather than here but as a quick answer...nothing you do should stop mobile q from working. You'd only be on the eluga software long enough to re-install twrp...once you upgrade to marshmallow via @The Marionette's marshmallow rom you can then use @Unjustified Dev's instructions to re-enable fastboot by flashing the package he put together from twrp.

Been reading up for past couple of days and knew the available options, just needed the confirmation that mobil update could save me from myself  , again thanks for the help!!

LG V20 F800L want to change to international firmware

Hi all, Just purchased a LG V20 F800L (Korean version) here in Australia.
It all seems to work well but I would like to change the software to an international one or a more English one.
As some things are still in Korean such as the ringtone list, the phone dialer and especially LG smart world and it will not allow me to log into it.
What I need to know is which firmware would be the best to flash & if some can point me in the right direction on where to start it would be much appreciated.
LG-F800L
Android 7.0
Build number NRD90M
Kernel 3.18.31
Software version F800L10m
My main aim is to get LG Smartworld working and in English

I think the issue here is that there isn't even an international version that has been released at this time. I will be keeping my eyes on this space though for when there is something. I have an F800K and will be changing out the ROM on it to international when/if I get the chance.

1) First you need an international version to be released
2) Then you need someone to post the firmware
3) Then you need the international version to have a bootloader unlock and TWRP and root so you can even do this
4) You need to hope and pray that on v20, unlike Samsung and many others, flashing other SKU firmware will NOT brick the device.
You rolled the dice and got the "wrong" version for your market....There's a strong possibility you're stuck with what you have, or that doing this you'll end up with an $800USD paper weight.
We currently don't have a way to flash firmwares at all.
Thanks guys ill just have to wait and see what happens.
Is there anyway of getting LG Smart world working in English?
any news????
Maybe this will help.
