Some questions about the Galaxy Tab A 7.0 - Samsung Galaxy Tab A series Questions & Answers

Hi guys !
I would to buy a Galaxy Tab A 7.0 (2016) for christmas, but I have some questions :
The Wifi version (SM-T280) has the Snapdragon or the Spreadtrum CPU ?
What's the model of the Spreadtrum CPU ?
The tablet is fluid ?
What's the battery life ?
The stock ROM is stable ?
Thanks in advance !

Rock solid... Theres a rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...m-samsung-galaxy-tab-7-0-lte-2016-sm-t3455788 rooted and debloated, 5.1.1 but bullet proof! If you want to flash make sure you install twrp first and let it boot your stock. Than flash it with odin. Factory reset if you changed your stock a lot, but this is stock to debloated stock its 100% safe, just read the steps first!

But the stock ROM is fast and stable ?

I don't have the T280 but I have the T285 and it is very stable, I don't think Samsung would release it otherwise.

Sure it is. Worth the value ... Mine was 200€ here. Someone bought it it for me in Canada for half that price!

The tablet is somewhat fluid. At times, it is a little sluggish even with the 5.1.1 rooted version which has better performance than stock. The battery life is pretty good and the ROM is stable. Even the custom 5.1.1 rom is stable. I've had mine with a 128 GB SD card for a couple months and it has been working well. I'm actually thinking of getting rid of mine, so if you are interested, please shoot me a PM.

I'm thinking of getting one as a Christmas present too.
What's Web browsing performance like? Is it able to stream video using the Web browser adequately?

Performance is ok, it has 1.5GB of RAM and a decent processor, there are lags during browsing, for videos I use YouTube and playback is fine (@ 720p) . If your fine with occasional lags and slow downs then I would recommend it, it is cheap and manages everyday tasks well. Only downside is that I only have about 1GB of internal memory left, I have moved everything I can to my memory card, so you cannot have many apps on it, only essential ones. As for large games, don't even bother-though I don't use it for gaming.

Most stable rom for gaming ?

Hi there fellow sg2 users, im currently on cm11 (4.4.4) where everything runs well except for gaming lag issues, i have considered downgrading to jb 4.3 since that seems to be most viable right now, but at the same time there are only tutorials for downgrading from 4.4.2 to JB , This being an issue i wanted to..
1) Confirm if the same method would work on mine?
2) Wait for CM12 and hope for lag fixes
3) Use a different rom that has smooth gaming ? (Kindly Suggest)
Thanking you in advance ! Ciao :silly:
cm11 is okay, haven't seen any lag so far, actually the games are working quite well, not sure about the battery coz mine was already draining fast even in the stock rom.

Hi all, What's the most simple, fastest and battery saving rom out there for note 4

My model is SM-N910F (UK Three mobile version)
Also if someone would post for the C variant, that'd be great.
As for 4.4.4 - definitely FireKat. Stock, fast and awesome battery - 9 hours and 34 minutes SOT
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=62878292&postcount=18346
FireKat link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/not.../firekatn4v1-4-4-4-tw-anj7-extremely-t2916463
There is version for International 910F, so don't worry.
Android 5.0 - PopRocksRom. But! I think that 5.0 is very bad.
Android 5.1.1 - Alexandr devbase is great. Stock, flying and battery lasts 4-5 SOT.

Remember that it is only my opinion. There isn't the best rom of all. The best thing you can do though, is to try every single rom and choose your favourite.
Thanks for the info, I'll certainly give them all a try.. I had a good look at a lot of roms but was confused as they all seem the same to me. Thanks again
There's no best rom, no specially made rom for a specific user. Everyone has his own preferences on his phone. That is why one rom maybe is good for a user but is bad for another user.

Why don't we have CM11 for our LG G Pad 7?

Hi.. so I have been using my LG G Pad 7.0 v400 for the past 3 months and I would like to share my thoughts about what I have been using
My tablet came with stock 4.4.2 KitKat which is pretty good when it comes to features.. But speaking about performance.. It may not be the best out there..
I rooted it and modified it as much as I could.. Deleted so many stock not useful apps and installed Xposed with a lot of modules but it is still not as I expected.. I installed kernel auditor and put CPU and GPU governors as "performance".. It got better but then again.. Not as I expected..
Speaking about CM12.1 (CAF by SultanXDA) it was the best performance experience.. Very fast and smooth and it has almost no bugs at all.. Games are great and everything seemed to be amazing.. But the huge issue I faced was the internal memory.. ART uses so much more money than Dalvic (for example Facebook app is 225 MB in lollipop.. 35 MB in KitKat [on Dalvic]) so I had to go back to the laggy KikKat again..
I didn't try stock 5.0.2 well because it's not 5.1.1 and it has the same internal memory issue.. (same thing about CM13)
I know you can just say use Link2SD and move your apps.. Ok but that's not what I am looking for..
Why don't we have a stable CM11 (4.4.4) with great performance and enough internal memory? It may sound weird since we already have CM13 but I really think that CM11 will be the best experience for our lovely tablet..
Thanks for reading this.. Tell me what you think.. Have a good time

Which is the best ROM you guys have discovered for REDMI 2 PRIME

Hello guys !
I have been a new member of XDA . (**noobie** tho ) . I own a REDMI 2 PRIME . I have flashed many roms and kernels on my device suggested by xda but until now i have not found anything i.e. any ROM that i might stick onto. I always flash a new rom and within 3-4 days seeing the battery consumption i revert back to MIUI ROM . Please suggest me with links to the ROM and kernels that i should try on and can hold on to a particular rom.
Thanks Guys !
Look....devs are tried or trying to make ROM that is suitable for us .So be greatful to them.
I am using cm 13(official) and du by dual boot and I am happy.
BTW ...u can't get everything work perfectly in anything in this world.....
In my experience if you are going for bugless you should go for stock which is pretty good and especially on prime much smoother compared to 1gb variant.
On other hand any custom ROM come with trade off, most stable ROM on r2 is DU but it won't support Jio,then there is Orion by same dev which is minimal and excellent ROM in itself ,if you are new to custom Roms then you should stick to CyanogenMod which offers AOSP looks with its own set of features and is reliable,

Reply 1 :Your review was awesome ! Will surely try this beta rom !
Reply 2 :The phone is awesome and i dont see a chance that i might be changing this phone because of its compact size and its battery life on stock rom . The wierd thing that happens is that i have seen many people say that a particular rom say CM13 official nightly build is the best stable rom for redmi 2 prime but i used it and saw a pretty lag even when the phone booted up for the first time that is no new apps installed for a day and then i would have to revert back to my stock rom !
Hehe that is what going on from all the roms i have tried . I havent tried tesla rom latest build for miui redmi 2 prime which users say is the best rom until now ! So lets see what happens next

Samsung Galaxy Tab A6 7.0 2016 (SM-T280) Custom Rom

Does anyone has a custom rom for SM-T280?
It's stock rom is too heavy for it, so it frequently has a lag. Also, it is pretty slow. (Sorry for my bad English)
So um... PLZ make a custom rom (like CM or lineageOS..)
for SM-T280. Or if you can't, how can I make the rom for it? I really want to have these roms..
Not only I but many people like me, want to have custom rom.
PLZ help me and also many people...
It's not as easy as plz build a rom or tell me how to do that. First it wouldn't work much better as 7inch is just crap in terms of hardware(7.0 models always lack power, I had tab 3 7.0 what a ****ty device). Best advice? Sell this tablet
