Why don't we have CM11 for our LG G Pad 7? - LG G Pad 7 Questions & Answers

Hi.. so I have been using my LG G Pad 7.0 v400 for the past 3 months and I would like to share my thoughts about what I have been using
My tablet came with stock 4.4.2 KitKat which is pretty good when it comes to features.. But speaking about performance.. It may not be the best out there..
I rooted it and modified it as much as I could.. Deleted so many stock not useful apps and installed Xposed with a lot of modules but it is still not as I expected.. I installed kernel auditor and put CPU and GPU governors as "performance".. It got better but then again.. Not as I expected..
Speaking about CM12.1 (CAF by SultanXDA) it was the best performance experience.. Very fast and smooth and it has almost no bugs at all.. Games are great and everything seemed to be amazing.. But the huge issue I faced was the internal memory.. ART uses so much more money than Dalvic (for example Facebook app is 225 MB in lollipop.. 35 MB in KitKat [on Dalvic]) so I had to go back to the laggy KikKat again..
I didn't try stock 5.0.2 well because it's not 5.1.1 and it has the same internal memory issue.. (same thing about CM13)
I know you can just say use Link2SD and move your apps.. Ok but that's not what I am looking for..
Why don't we have a stable CM11 (4.4.4) with great performance and enough internal memory? It may sound weird since we already have CM13 but I really think that CM11 will be the best experience for our lovely tablet..
Thanks for reading this.. Tell me what you think.. Have a good time

need an advice from the true experts

guys i own a D-802 16gb lg g2 right now & im using the CloudyG2 3.3 rom but i feel like my phone is not doing what it suppose to do and capable of, i see lags and over heating except for the camera it's soooooo good . anyway i need to know from the true honnest experts what is the best rom i can install on this phone whatever stock, stock based or AOSP, CM regarding best battery life, best camera less heating and in lollipop version. can i found what i want !!!
just flash dorimanx kernel and set it up properly... (it has heat limiter)
camera on aosp/cm roms is worse than stock...
or you can flash full stock 30f rom by somboons (you can clean flash it over cloudy3.3, just don't wipe internal storage)
there is nothing wrong with your device/rom, you just have to set it up properly...

Fastest STOCK BASED ROM for LG G2

Hello everyone,
From few weeks Im using Cloudy G2 2.2 ROM + Dorimanx kernel with performance mode - and unfortunately this ROM is very slow, few days ago I bought another LG G2 D802 for my friend, it comes with android 5.0.2 stock. Of course this system is completely clean but difference with speed to cloudy g2 2.2 (andorid 4.4.2) is very big. This 5.0.2 rom is much faster, Im asking this question because i have read a lot opinion that older cloudy rom and older stock based roms are more stable and faster than lolipop. But now I see that is not true.
I need stock based rom because of camera (for aosp is very poor).
Which stock based ROM is fastest for LG G2? Thanks in advance for your opinions
cloudy 3.3 + xceed kernel imo
I will try this ROM, any other suggestions ?
From my experience the fastest stock based ROM on the G2 D802 is CloudyStock 2.7. Kitkat is much faster and memmory management is night and day comparing Kitkat and Lollipop. Stock Kitkat based ROMS are optimized to run much better on G2 than Lollipop ROMs. Its interesting that Cloudy 2.2 is running slow for you, maybe try to reflash and use the default kernel that comes with it without changing any kernel settings. This is the ROM I am using ATM and it is one of the fastest. Also try MIUI 7 based on stock Kitkat, Cloudyflex, Cloudystock as I mentioned and other stock Kitkat based roms if you want speedy and snappy performance. Cloudy 3.3 is also good if you want Lollipop but it will bog down after a while and only data wipe can restore its snappyness although frequent reboots can improove memmory management. Dont use Dorimanx kernel it always slows my phone down no matter what settings I use, IDK why. Also if you are using G2 or G3 tweaksbox try disabling it, some settings can slow down your phone. The same goes for Xtana and similar apps thet change systemui and framework apk. Unicon app for changing icons also slows down any OS. Try to run as stock as possible for the snappiest performance.
Good idea to disable g2/g3 tweaks - I will try it, As I remember, on original kernel system was similiar slow. Maybe I just need full format all data/syste/ etc and install clean rom from beginning. Also I will try to record speed of my phone just to comparsion, maybe it is normal but just for me means slow? I dont think so.

I dont think so either. Also when installing choose odexed in aroma, this also affects ROM speed, app openning speed and boot time. Deodexed is not necessery as you can easily theme anything with G3 Tweaksbox even if your rom is odexed. Try shuffling trough D802 development section and you will find a couple of great Kitkat based roms like Coqueror rom or stock 20f prerooted kitkat rom.

Its better to install odexed ROM.
Best thing you can do really is flashing a non stock rom...the difference is insane. The major drawback is the camera...the quality is considerably lower. Battery life is more or less the same! Stock lollipop from LG is so bad...even with xceed kernel
You are absolutely right! I know this, camera is just one reason which keeps me with stock rom. I used cyan 11 before and diffrence was huge, I mean camera is so bad but speed sooo good. I think lg g2 is not complete phone for me because of this. Camera is something very important for most of the ppl, and this one for aosp rom is not even worth to rating...

Cloudy or MM

Im new at this phone and getting it today the d800 i have files already for CM13. Which one is more stable and can overclock without issues? Cloudy or MM?
Why do you want to overclock? CM13 is 100 times faster then any 5.0 stock rom, you don't need to overclock. But when using CM you should accept there are bugs and parts not working well. Camera is always best on stock! Sound in stock is better. But on CM13, GPS works well and my phone is as a brand new up to date fast phone. ALthough there are some bugs, it's stable as hell. Never had any hangup or reboot, using CM13's special build from Dr4xxxx (see the most thanked post in official CM13 thread) and Psychogames Kernel. Battery is the same for me.
It depands on you
Well I have tried both ....cloudy rom gives you the feel of LG g4 plus it is stock based rom so it will be bugs free... but it has a lot LG bloatwares which some people find them useful ..you can also install dorimanx kernel which can overclock both CPU and GPU (which for me it is note an important feature since it affects battery life and stability of our precious g2).
CM13 in the other hand is debloated rom with all new Marshmallow features with fast response and much more free ram...it has a few bugs but the developers all fixing it in a good time...I have installed it since last week from Cyanogenmod official site and tested intensively and the only bugs I have found so far are : the rear notification led is not working and the quality of the camera is fine but not as stock .....everything else is working great including the IR remote functions.
For me I have decided to keep using CM13 ?

before doing anything else, make sure your phone is not refurbished. then proceed. if refurbished it could say d800 but be a ls980. so itll brick.
if you dont care about camera, slow motion, and 4k video. then go CM is faster.
camera in stock is better. but CM or AOSP have some bugs. when i tried them theres was hissing coming from speaker.
if you go th cloudy route, then i recomend
CHELOZTEAM UX4 V4.
powerg2
icex
cloudy. to me battery isnt good as others and its slower. besides the others are based on newer firmwares cloudy hasnt been updated.

Questions about CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM by ED300

Hey guys, I'm new here.. like super new and that's why I can't post to The Best CM12.1 CyanogenMod 12.1 ROM For Lenovo A6000/Plus (Stable) thread.
I would love to flash this rom. Stock KK is so slow and hanging every time I try to run more than one app (Spotify + Snapchat? Impossible!) But here is the thing. I've never did that before. I guess I know how to flash TWRP recovery and the actual ROM but I have no clue what to do with so many kernels.
My questions are:
1. Why do I need flash some kernel? I just want functional phone for everyday use with the best peformance+battery backup. I'm not looking for some "everyday flashing something new.". so can I just flash the rom without any addiotional kernel?
2. Dolby! I love music and I love Dolby. Can I flash Dolby Atmos?
3. Nobody is talking about heavy RAM usage (like Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram - that's all I need actually). I know, 1 Gb is not many but I was suprised when my friend's 1GB ram phone can handle running Snapchat, Messenger and Spotify in one time without any significant lag! HOW?!
4. What is No Optimization? Why do I need it? What is this good for?
5. What is screen blinking bug? I just want to know if I wouldn't mind it.
6. Is there any guide how to revert back to Kitkat stock rom? I'm always trying to be safe.
7. In Kitkat there's possibility to swap internal storage and SD card. Is it presented also here?
Thank you so much for your answers! Really guys! And sorry, my English is bad, I know.
Have a nice day.
i will be glad to guide you
1-make a backup for every thing in twrp recovery savet in ext sd -just in case
2-as a beginner don't disturb your self withe custom kernel section
3-just download the rom and update 11 and gapps
4-no optimization for advanced users who are like to use their own optimization
5-blinking bug is bug common in this rom the screen goes off for 1 sec and turn on again
6-you have to try the rom by your self to judge it for me it is the best rom i have in this device

i shall make a video tutorial on how to flash cyanogenmod 12.1 on a6000 by tonight =)
i have a question too that which rom is stable, ive tried cyanogenmod 12.1 but it lags i believe it hits a bottleneck limit causing it to lag because i cant seem to browse websites on chrome in peace without it hanging for a few...is there any other stable lollipop rom which doesnt consume too much RAM or should i add a custom kernel to squeeze out more performance

Custom kernels r used to squeeze more power and performance, so that u can get the most out of ur phone. If u know how to use custom kernels, dn go ahead with the flashing of ur preferred custom kernel. All ur hanging and lagging isues will be minimized at a great level. I personally prefer telo kernel by Mr. AW., and used the balanced setting given by ED300, and some settings that satisfy me, i haven't faced any lag thereafter.
Good luck!!

[Q] Redmi 2 1GB/Pokemon Go - MIUI vs Android M ROM's

How are you, users? I know about the Pokemon Go fever is affecting everyone ... but let the matter.
I have a Redmi 2 (1GB), and I know that recommended by the Niantic is the utilization of an Android phone with 2GB of RAM. But the game can run normally in the official MIUI!, in other case, M based custom rom's are soo laggy...
Anyone know why or a solution or a custom rom good for that?
I'm asking because recently bought a sd card uhs-1 and miss Adoptable storage, and pure android. :crying:
Okay, let's go!
Android M is really heavier in RAM than the stock KitKat. I saw this playing Pokémon GO. After trying many ROMs and kernels, LMK values, optimized KSM, ZRAM, the game continued to crash, slowdown. Well, the problem could be only one: RAM.
After this I started to search a debloated KK rom. KitKat is lighter than LP and MM. And I found this: http://forum.miuirom.com.br/index.php?threads/rom-miui-8-miui-brasil-e-miui-global-6-7-21.506/
The download link is: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24591000424948969 (for Redmi2 1GB)
Its a debloated version of KK MIUI8. Its blazing fast, and runs Pokémon GO fine, without any problems. I am learning something to develop a KK kernel with more features to this, specially to improve battery life. Maybe it will be available in next weeks.
Well, lets catch Pokémon!
Thanks, Dan_Jacques! I'm facing the same problem but I'm looking for a stable, non-MIUI KitKat rom. Would you happen to know any?

It's made from MIUI Brazil community. I liked the overall performance. It's a MIUI8 KK debloated.

I've tried it and really liked it, but I had two problems with it: wasn't getting push notifications (from Whatsapp messages, for example), and couldn't install Google Play Music. I think I'll try it again sometime, maybe with the next update!!

My redmi 2 is 16gb storage and 2gb of ram. On custom roms pokemon go always laggy even mine is 2gb of ram. On the other hand when i use miui 7/8 th game is so smooth. The only problem is that, miui 8 that i used has problem with vpn. It says its connected but ip address does not change. I dont have vpn problem on custom roms only on miui.
Hopefully someday there will be a custom rom/kernel that can solve the laggy problem. Btw miui 8 on mine runs on lollipop

You can try the MIUI8 KK through fastboot. I think if I can flash LP MIUI8 on my 1GB Redmi2, you can flash KK MIUI8 on your 2GB Redmi2

Do you have vpn problem on miui 8 LP? If KK can fix my vpn problem i would be very happy. The reason why i use LP is because i got it LP first on miui 7.5 via OTA. So maybe its necessary to keep using LP.

U can try checking ip buy typing "what is my ip" on default browser or firefox. Dont use chrome.
Then connect to vpn check ip again. See if the ip change or not. If the ip change it means no vpn problem.
This problem only occurs when i use mobile data. If i use wifi, vpn works just fine
does this debloated KK MIUI8 offers the option of installing apps to the SD card?
