[screenshot]Twrp can't read internal storage - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

I have Samsung Galaxy s7 edge(SM-G935FD) Indian edition.
My twrp can't read internal storage when i click select storage it shows 0mb. I can still access my otg partition. I cannot also format any partition as it shows cannot mount /data.
I have tried following things without success-:
1)I have tried multiple versions of twrp.
2)Flashed no-verity-opt-encrypt zip using otg
3)Flashed complete stock firmware multiple times & re-flashed twrp.
Note-: i have flashed nogut beta but before installing twrp i reverted to stock by flashing all 4 files of firmware including bp.
Added a picture of twrp log(can't save screenshot as internal storage isn't mounting)

You have to do wipe/format data/yes. Then reboot back into twrp. After that you flash no drmverity/supersu.

Reduced internal storage to about 450 mb after installing twrp.

I installed twrp using adb in my lenovo k4 note (A7010a48) after which the internal memory of my device reduced to 450 mb from 16 GB and I installed official resurrection remix in it. Though the storage option from settings shows 16 GB memory out of which 14 GB is used by system while in twrp it shows only 450 mb. Now due to this I would like to reinstall my stock ROM and stock recovery and get my storage and volte back. Please tell me if there are any ways. Also when I try to open my recovery there is a black screen only. Thanks in advance.
Actually that happened for me too.. I found that it happens when I unlock the bootloader, boot to recovery , deleting "boot_from_recovery.p" and WITHOUT flashing super su nor booting to system, directly flashing any other twrp recovery or wiping the Dalvik cache, system, data, the recovery finds our sdcard (internal storage) partition as 774 MB or in your case 450 MB. So to get rid of these things, flash s232 firmware again unlock bootloader, boot to recovery, delete the file "boot from recovery.p", flash SuperSU, clear Dalvik cache and cache, let the phone boot to system ( normal startup) and then reboot to recovery and voila! You will find internal storage as usual .:good:

perform factory reset in twrp recovery, to fix that issue

Is there any way I can skip flashing the firmware and do this with the custom rom installed? Also, where is the "boot_from_recovery.p" file located? xda says /system but I can't find it there.

Try factory resetting from twrp as mohan mentioned above.. if it did not worked, probably that's the only way.
Figured out how to get rid of this issue: After installing stock rom, unlocking bootloader and flashing TWRP through ADB: you have to reboot into system (stock ROM), go through the setup and only then are you able to go back into TWRP to wipe and flash the custom ROM of your choice (in this case RR, without having full internal storage).
regarding internal storage issue
Is your solution will fix my internal storage problem
Fixed it for me so yes
While flashing RR, I also ended up in the same position. Here's how I fixed it:
1) Post flashing RR, goto bootloader and flash recovery-mohan-n.img
2) reboot to recovery
3) click on wipe and then select format data (option next to advance wipe).
4) Once format is complete, go back to main screen and Reboot to system.
Hence the problem shall be resolved.
PLS HELP!!!

TWRP fail to mount internal storage

Recently I installed nitrogen os, everything work fine. the problem is when i boot into twrp, it only can mount system and cache. I cannot format data in twrp. I tried to install different version of twrp but the result is the same. Anyone know how to fix it?
This is known, it's some bug in the Oreo builds of some ROM. This method will wipe all your data, including your internal storage: Go to fastboot mode, and type in: fastboot format userdata, then wait for it after that you can flash any ROM again. Good luck :good:
Thx a lot
Internal storage Mount in twrp
Same issue I'm having RR Rom i use

Official TWRP not working for Realme 2 Pro

I did the exact same method as mentioned in this [site](https://samarv-121.github.io/twrp-3.2.3-RMX1801/), but TWRP isn't reading the microSD slot. It gives 0 MB as the size of microSD and I can't select it. Also, it seems to me that TWRP starts from the beginning every time I boot to recovery as I'm getting the 'Allow modifications to system partition' in every boot. I tried wiping the data twice, which removed the internal storage data encryption, but when I booted back to TWRP, it showed it as 0 MB. I've also flashed TWRP several times, but to no avail. One thing that I noticed was that when I flashed TWRP the first time, it showed success, but when booting to recovery, it had stock recovery. I flashed TWRP again and that issue was fixed.
My microSD is FAT32 format, and its contents aren't encrypted. I'm able to read the contents of it on PC and in my phone, but not in recovery. However, when in TWRP, it shows that my SD card is vfat format. I can't wipe it, repair it or change the filetype, as its showing an error.
Can someone please help me out? I'll provide whatever resources are needed. But please tell a detailed way on how to get them. Thank you in advance!

Twrp unable to mount data/decrypt data even after flashing decrypt.zip

Hi!! I have unlocked my bootloader, flashed twrp successfully. But when i boot into twrp it asks a password and then a message pops up and shows
"Unable to mount storage".
"Failed to decrypt data".
After that the internal memory and every data partiton shows 0mb. I have to factory reset my phone so thattwrp can read the memory in my phone.
After that i flash decrypt.zip and magisk and then boot into my system. But when i boot into twrp again the same message pops up and it cannot read my memory.
Can anyone help me i have been trying to fix my twrp for over a week now:crying:.
what version of TWRP are you using?
If you are from locked bootloader and flashing TWRP via fastboot for flashing custom roms, TWRP will recommend you to wipe internal storage.
I used Advanced Wipe and select all except USB-OTG and Micro SD Card to remove the encryption set by the stock rom to the internal storage and to clean the phone for the preparation of flashing custom rom
After that, that will fix the "Unable to mount storage" error and internal storage is now available. You don't need to flash decrypt.zip when you are flashing a custom rom unless you are flashing a modified Stock rom or the dev recommends it for their custom rom :good:

Unable to flash TWRP Backup from OTG and adb sideload too. please help

Hi, i am a novice. I am using potter with the latest PE+ ANDROID 10. I was not getting VoLTE and someone suggested revert to stock ROM and flash PE again. I took a backup and wiped everything (system, data, dalvik, cache). it was successful and when i tried to restore the stock backup i have based on android 8.1 (last update by Motorola) I ran into errors like unable to mount system and i wiped the internal storage in the process by mistake and i tried to RESTORE the same 8.1 file through OTG but the same error came. I tried changing storage type in wipe --advanced wipe and it didn't help. I am unable to use ADB sideload too. I am just stuck at TWRP with no data in internal storage. when i try to put the backup into the internal storage thpurh PC it throws a error saying the file is larger than the device limit (specifically while copying system file that is 1.5 GB). what should i do now, what happened to my potter? please help me come out of this.:crying::crying:
