Just installed SlimRoms Slim-athene-6.0.1.build.1.12-WEEKLY-20161118-1947.zip and Slim-Addons-mini_gapps.4.4.4.build.9-20150107.zip on my Moto G.
I am connected to WiFi, when I attempt to login to my Google account I get the below error:
"Cannot connect with Google servers (try again later)"
I have done some searching and people are suggesting turning off turn 2-step verification on the Google account, which I don't have turned on in the first place. Also can be caused by not logging into your account on when initially prompted on startup, but I have done a reinstall and was not prompted to enter my account details.
Anybody seen this before and got round it?

I am being asked by a family member for some help. I should know what to do but at my age memory has let me down a little so I wonder if anyone can give sensible advice?
They have a Tattoo and are trying to use the Market. When they run through (over WiFi or GPRS) the setup wizard it fails them. Always at the same point. When they enter their Gmail account id and password the wizard goes off to verify this. They have a Data enabled SIM and can watch YouTube, surf the web, send and receive pop3 mails. From the web browser they can log into their gmail account no problem.
So back to the Market setup wizard, we choose sign up and enter the correct logon details. It states that it is contacting the Google servers to setup the account. Then the logon fails and reports back that there is a network error. The exact message is:
Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server
This could be a temporary problem or your SIM card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call Customer Care.
I have a painful memory that I had the same problem in the past. I cannot remember exactly what I did to fix it now (-(
I have created the gmail account separately and have entered the credentials but still cannot connect...
Can anyone solve this issue please?

Have you tried to restart phone?
I once had a problem just as i bought it. I called HTC who told me to make a factory reset. It solved the problem.
I cannot sign into Appbrain. When Appbrain asks me to sign in I go to the sign in and it hangs up on https://www.google.c........ I have done an uninstall and install and that did not help. I do have access to my Gmail, Calendar, etc. without any Internet problems. I can use my PC and sign into Appbrain and that is OK. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.
Here is additional info and my steps in signing in via my HD2 w/Android when I am in Appbrain:
1. Manage and Sync> Please sign in with your Google account
2. Sign In> https://www.appbrain.com
3. Automatically goes to: https://www.google.com/accounts/servi... (with lock icon shown indicating it is a secure site) and stops. I get - 'No network connection' 'Browser cannot load this page because there is no internet connection.'
Yet I can access other sites via Internet.
I go into Settings and have the following settings:
Block pop-up windows (checked and even tried without this checked, too)
Enable JavaScript (checked)
Enable plug-ins (Always on)
Accept cookies (checked)
Show security warnings (checked)
Internet is working as I can get to any site such as Yahoo, Ebay, droidxforums.com, etc.
However, it seems if I tried to SignIn that is when I can't get any further? It seems like I cannot sign into Google even though I can sign on to my Google account via PC. I even get Gmail on my phone. so, I am completely confused.
Any suggestions?

Received an Atrix today (uk model). When the initial set-up screen appears to register a new motoblur account, I can neither register a new account, login with an existing account or skip motoblur (using the key strokes detailed on this forum).
I created a new motoblur account via their web-site on my pc, as the registration process on the phone times out with a server error. I have data connectivity, tried both 3g and wireless.
If I try to bypass the registration process, then the phone just hangs for a few minutes and then also gives a server error.
Is this a problem with the motoblur servers or my Atrix?

A few weeks ago, I reset my phone to factory settings because it was running slow. While my problem was solved, another problem arised.
I cannot connect to my Google account.
My goal is to be able to connect to my account so I can watch videos from my Youtube subscriptions. So basically, I only want to be able to connect to my Google account for purposes of using Youtube.
The problem is this:
-Despite a decent connection to the internet, I was not allowed to sign-in. I have tried using my username e-mail account, the password is correct, yet I get the typical "username or password is not correct".
What could I do to eliminate this problem? Any help is appreciated :good:

Have you try on PC or laptop ?
Becoz keyboard is appropriate
Then little rate for typo ( typographical errors )
I just booted up my old note 3 for use as a drone controller, but for some weird reason I am unable to get into the play store because every time I try to add a google account it gives me the message 'Cannot establish reliable connection to server' despite my internet connection working perfectly fine (can access play store on chrome and android browser)
At first I thought this might be due to a date/time error but even after manually setting the date and time (as well as automatic settings) the error persists. The weather app, S assistant, Youtube and web browsing works fine, however several applications like Flipboard, ChatOn, DJI Go 4 and any type of google service which requires a account are all unable to connect to their servers. I've tried using a different WAP, verifying client access via the web and factory resetting the phone, but nothing seems to fix it.
If anyone knows how I can fix this it would be greatly appreciated.
