Hi,
I was searching for a Smartwatch and ended in ordering a (Chinese) Lemfo LF16 with full Android 5.1, ...
Interesting for me was that it seems to be a nice watch, smartphone functions, all connectivities possible and also some health function like pedometer, etc.
https://de.aliexpress.com/item/Smart-Watch LF16
Someone else having this one and already experience?
What are you thinking of this watch?
When I receive my, I will post feedback...
Thanks
giovanne
I'm anxious to hear more from people on this, and if there are any hacks and such for it. I dreadfully searched for days for the standalone smartwatch that was best for me, in the price range of this thing, and settled on this one for it's quick access sim slot (I will be alternating between this and the Nexus 5X), loud speaker (which is on the side, not on the wrist/bottom) because I need to hear my notifications), big screen, and not overly geeky looks. Hopefully it's as good as it seams and I don't regret my choice!
Well,
Here is a quick list of what I have discovered so far. Depending on what you will be using it for, you will either really love it or really hate it!
I'm using it mostly for the Bluetooth MP3 player features in addition to the basic watch.
Pros
• Nice design ala "Gear S3
• I can finally walk down the street with my Bluetooth music playing and swinging my arms without intermittent cutting out!
• The Bluetooth sound reproduction is really good even with stock player.
• Speaker nice and load.
• The weather update now works using your phone data and no longer request that you turn on your GPS.
• Access Sim with requiring the removal of back cover.
• Got rid of the ugly backgrounds within Notification screen, just a sweet black (well almost black)
Cons
• Operating system seems very beta as it has the most ugly watch faces ever released for a Lemfo Android watch, and leaves us with only 2 tolerable faces (hence incomplete OS)
• Unable to load up custom watch faces via "Clockskin any more.
• Watchstrap LUGS have been removed so not custom watch strap mods
• Silver bezel only comes with white band.
• Watch strap is very flimsy compared to the silicone strap available with the X3 Plus
• Watch is toted as, "Ultra thin" but it is not. The bezel is low profile, but there is more to the body although beveled in, so the watch has an unattractive umbrella look to it.
• Bezel is not stainless steel but some other lighter metal, maybe Aluminum or Titanium Alloy, so the quality feels almost Toy like. (so don't bump it!) My X5 still rules!
• Lemfo cut cost by providing a less than adequate charging cable that has poor magnet strength.
• I bought two of these watches and only one of the chargers worked. (Murphy's Law)
• When booting to recovery, there is no way to navigate the menu as it only has one button
• When navigating some of the app functions user is unable to adjust a function that requires swiping as this brings you back to a previous screen (Try to increase the volume by swiping without backing out of the function!
• Still unable to add App widgets to existing basic three (weather, fitness, music etc)
• Some screens don't allow you to go one step back by swiping right, but instead you have to press the power button and start again.
• At times "Data" connection seems to keep turning it self off. I think it happens after phone goes to sleep for a period of time, but the function to disable "turning off the data" is no longer within the "Display" section.
• Screen is promoted as, "Amoled" but the blacks still appear back-lit!
Enable Data
Update,
Enabling data now has its own icon within the quick access screen. I think that I was disabling this, not knowing what it was and therefore concluded that the data was turning itself off.
Thanks for the really good and detailled feedback.
I got mine LF16 also in the meantime.
Overall I can agree with you "Star_Inc".
For my first tests and usage I only want to use it as "normal" clock/watch and to try the pedometer.
For the first tests and to have max. bat-life I use the watch in Flightmode without (GPS, GSM, WLAN,...)
For the normal clock I tested with custom ClockFace handling.
- apk - Clockfaces available for the KW88 clock will work on the LF16 too
- "ClockSkin" folder method works with e.g. the (standalone) launcher/app from Eric: http://roundandroidwatches.proboards.com/thread/267/standalone-clockskin-engine-apk-version
First pedometer tests where ok - will go on testing
Bluetooth with my Oneplus 3 Smartphone is working (but I don't like all the notifications on the watch)
Bluetooth filetransfer from Smartphone to LF16 is working (e.g. useful when transfering a new apk to the watch)
The suggested APP WiWear(SinWear) for the phone to connect is "horrible"!
I will go on testing...
does anyone know how i enabled syncing?
What about GPS accuracy? And battery life?.
Hey Guys
I have already received my watch i agree with stark_inc, but i see the quality of the bezel is good
the overall feedback after 2 days is good, except 2 things
1. the terrific support program WiiWear (SinWear), this is the only way to connect the watch to my phone, unfortunately failed to connect it to Android Wear, MediaTEK Smart Device or Fundo, i hope some body helps with this
2. i cant add more watch faces also
for battery life it is ok to keep in your hand 1 day (provided you don't go through it many), thickness is ok, i think it was to be better if it is 1.3" instead of 1.39"

if you are going to use it much, it won't go with you for 1 day
turning off wifi will support battery significantly
GPS is ok i get my location exactly
Hey Guys
I tried ClockSkin Launcher and it is working fine
the major issue for me now that i cannot connect the watch to the phone except via this very poor WiiConnect (SinaWear) app, even it doesn't sync the steps and it really fool app, i hope someone can help how we connect the watch to Apps like Android Wear or any other useful app!
I'm Working On Something Wonderful!
Hey ladies and gentlemen,
If you are an owner of a LF16 or KW88 or LEM3 or BLITZ you are aware of the annoying inconsistent configuration of their custom watchface implication, and as a result some have been pulling their hair out trying to devise of ways to accomplish this the caliber of ClockSkin.
My solution is to do away with the entire operating system and install a ROM that supports native ClockSkin.
This work is in progress, but if successful we can then do away with this line of watches headaches, and focus our creativity to produce ClockSkin compatible faces.
I'll keep you updated!
And yes, this is a custom LF16 hardware!
@Stark_Inc, hey man, if you can do that, kudos, I'll try it out. Can you elaborate on what you're doing, other than making a ROM for these phones? What is it based on? Stock? Or using LF16 rom and just editing the watchface handling?
I think a new ROM is certainly not a bad idea if it can be done - it may allow us to more easily fix the rest of the problems, which I agree are many.
I'm soooo disappointed with this thing (LF16). I chose it because of the easy access of the SIM card because I thought I'd like to swap between phone and this, but the battery life, if the watch is used, SUCKS, and charging "in the field" is pointless given how lousy the connection is (bad format anyway). Starting to think what I would have preferred isn't a full android watch in the first place - but more like Android Wear. I'm really hoping people who are smarter than me save the day with new ROMs and other fixes to make it worth owning.
I didn't spend 100 bucks for a watch. I honestly don't care a whole lot for watches (jewelry in general), I paid for a smart device. What is the point if you can't use it all day - which you can't. You can use it as a watch all day. I haven't had the guts to try it with my sim card yet. I doubt it would be much better. But turning off BT and WiFi certainly improved battery life by a TON. But what's the point?
I thought it would be easy to find a replacement companion app for this thing (for smartphone) but nothing works with it. Even the one they want you to use is not only **** even it if it worked, but for me crashes (Nexus 5X with 7.1.1) ever time it connects. I can't track fitness for ****. Even Google Fit - um, where's the heart-rate data collection? I tried apps both directly on the watch and the Nexus - nothing seems to collect historic data.
I think some of my problems are more with "stand-alone Android" watches more then the LF16, but since this is my first, I could be wrong.
KW88/LF16 Lite and Clean
So i'm moving away from my original idea of porting a "ClockSkin" friendly rom, and instead I am working to make the KW88/LF16 Rom more cleaner, lite'r and battery friendly. In fact, I have sought of started to make the UI more like the GEAR S3. I'll keep you posted.
Oh. I've also installed my own clock face of preference within the existing WatchApp engine, and I am sure I should be able to activate other dormant faces in the future.
someone try to add this keyboard ? https://www.kickstarter.com/project...oard-the-first-dedicated-smartwatch-k?lang=fr
i'm looking to a faces like this too, i love one hand watch

This should be great!
One question, KW88 watch is almost (except camera) the same HW than LF16, Do you Know if it's possible to flash KW88 ROMs in LF16?. Support for KW88 seems to be much better than LF16.
Small back from this watch I have for less than a week, the battery holds about 8 hours, without playing too much, black screen, not the needles in permanent lighting, I hope the arrival of a rom by Stark_Inc It would be really good, optimize the duration of the battery, make that one can further decrease the brightness, I have a sim card in and the data connections active. If not, I find it beautiful. I would like the screen to display the hours all the time, with a duration of 10 hours would really bein, is it a dream? I am on the orange network france.
Hi, I'm waiting form my LF16 to arrive (I guess I would go with the LEM5 for the 1GB of RAM, but I've noticed it after my watch was shipped ),
I'm spending my time planning my actions with itm so...
- Is kingoroot working on this watch to gain root access?
- is it possible (and needed) to activate swap on this watch?
- any list of mods/customization existing - maybe a new thread, or a sticky?
I hope people can make this watch worth the money, as I read it is not really that good....
Hi. I got this smartwatch for my son for xmas and I have not being able to get a pre-pay service provider to get a sim card for it. my son does not have a cell phone that is why we got him the watch but where ever i take it they say that wont work with their network. Can somebody please help me to finish with my son xmas present.
Thank you
Hi ,
The watch work with : 3G WCDMA 850/2100 ; 2G GSM 850/900/1800/1900 quad-bandes Network .
You have to find the telephone company that uses its frequencies .
Has anyone though about installing a bigger battery on this watch? I have seen some on eBay up to 1200ma. This would definitely sort out the battery problems but I have no idea whether or not they are safe to install or even what type of battery this watch uses as I haven't opened it up.
Something I was thinking about doing but not sure if it can be done
Hi Karl, can you send me the links to the ebay store please ? tnx , now the automnomy of my watch the 3 / 4 days are 5 hours max !

I’ve always been an early adopter…whether it was audio equipment, computers, mobile phones, software and most recently, smart watches. I’ve been researching and monitoring the progress of these devices since they first started to hit the market. My first smart watch was the Sony Smartwatch, which I returned after about a week…a move I would later question. My second attempt was the Basis Carbon Steel and then I finally got the Samsung Galaxy Gear. None of these did everything I wanted and quite frankly, I’m not sure any single watch ever will…because I want features that conflict with each other. On one hand, I want a stylish metal watch that is classy looking with a suit and provides me with notifications at a glance. On the other hand, I want a fitness watch that has every sensor known to man, has built in gps and will let me listen to music through my Bluetooth headphones without having to lug my phone around. I realize that means I’m going to have to own two distinctly different smart watches. However, there is one feature that EVERY smart watch should have…but none do, as yet. The one thing that I’ve found to be lacking on every smart watch is a sensor that tells it when it’s being worn…and when it’s not. When I’m wearing my watch, I love having it notify me of a new text or email. However, when I put it on my nightstand every night, right next to my smart phone…I don’t need it to vibrate across the surface every time my phone notification goes off…it’s redundant and unnecessary. Additionally, on some models when you finally do put your watch back on the next morning, you still have to clear all the notifications that came through overnight…even though you’ve already cleared them on your phone. So, in my humble opinion, no smart watch is truly smart unless it knows when it’s being used and when it’s not! If I'm wrong and one exists, please let me know.

It's a very good point. It would save battery life too as it's using less processing when it's not worn.
A smart watch should have as much useful sensors as they can pack in it to make it smart.
A notification LED like the one in the Sony and other mobiles would be useful for saving battery life, you don't have too keep turning the screen on.
As smart watches become more popular they will need Apps without adverts due to the screen size.
Five likely solutions.
Contact switch (requires physical skin contact to work)
Pressure switch (if pressure on back of watch is above X = on)
Heart rate sensor (if detect heart beat then on)
Temperature Sensor (If temp is greater than X = on)
Magswitch in clasp (when clasp is closed device is "On")
Only the Pressure and Heart Rate and Magswitch are viable and would provide the fewest issues. First four would eat battery, the fifth would run into issues if near a magnetic source.
Everything else is doable, and with a transflective or E-Ink/Mirasol display, a notification light is not needed but can see where it would be nice.
Also think that this cam craze is stupid. A 480P front facing would be of far more use than some tiny um 5MP sensor camera mounted elsewhere. It could then also be used as an ambient light sensor facilitating auto brightness.

You need a Pebble bro.
Has DND settings for night time, syncs to phone notifications. I'm using mine on jailbroken i5 and smartwatch+ lets me reply to notifications from the watch, call people. Has massive battery life. Pebble Steel is stylish and functional. I have a Pebble (original) with a wide leather band, looks sweet.
Only thing it can't do is prevent you lugging your phone about, but the BT range on the pebble is about 20-30m in my experience, so you may get away with it at the gym/home/office. I know i can walk to the printer and such at work without my phone, or make a coffee. And at home i can leave the iphone in a dock to play, and change songs and volume while doing the dishes. (yep. pebble is waterproof.)
Got mine second hand for $80. what have you got to lose :victory:
Talking about sensors... http://m.europe.wsj.com/articles/apple-plans-multiple-designs-for-smartwatch-1403245062?mobile=y
Apple's rumoured watch packed with sensors. Wonder if it'll be truly smart. Even if it's the 'best watch' you'll need to buy an iPhone to use it until they find a hack for it.
... how about a pebble like watch but with WiFi, GPS and packed with sensors. The battery wouldn't 't last as long if you use the WiFi. But if you don't then it should last just as long. And an option to have a cam in the strap or no cam at all.
As mentioned above the perfect watch is not one watch, but perhaps two.
1. A non sim pebble like with better battery life with IP67. With loads of sensors!
2. Sim watch transflective colour screen packed with features but shorter battery life and not IP67. With loads of sensors!
Either way the traditional way of opening an app for a specific need will be replaced with a totally new way of accessing info. An ambient service that automatically brings info to your screen as you change your environment. Morning + at home = daily schedule, traffic news, work email only, weather... Etc. At home at evening = personal emails only, audio player, instagram... Etc. Opening an App will be phased out.
Google glasses is doing it already. Android wear is aiming for it.
And when these 'hyperaware' wearable start sensing and working with other hyperaware wearables... that's when the fun really begins.

Off topic slightly, I've asked the Moderators to make a forum or thread for general smartwatch discussion, I thought to have it next to where the Sony, pebble, Samsung and other Smart watch is... At the uppermost level. I've asked them to let me know if they agree or not. Let's see what they say.
Hey guys. So I just received my new smart watch today and I'm loving it! Wanted to start a thread about it asking if any of you have it so for. It's a pretty new watch and in the coming days hopefully I'll be posting some pics and vids.

Got one of these a few weeks ago and so far:
Runs like a dream, considering it's size
Will run all the apps I have installed on it so far.
Will not let me put an SDcard in that is 32GB or 16GB will only work with the bundled 8GB card. So I assume this might be formatted differently (have not checked)
Cannot get GPS to work! Perhaps it is not using a standard "western GPS chip"?
Camera is ok, but no zoom and you have to put your wrist down otherwise you take a picture of your hand.
MAJOR ISSUE ! Battery Power ! Says it can work for 24 hours with light use. Ha Ha Ha Ha what a load of BS. Lucky if you get 7 - 8 hours out of the battery with 3G working (Skype and FB apps running in the background, no GPS on, no BT on and no WIFI on)
That is about it so far if anyone has any other info I would be glad to read, because there is didly squat online about this watch/phone
More details.

I was pleasently surprised to find an 8GB SD card already there. That plus the 8GB built in storage (4.88GB of which is usable) leaves you with enough storage for your apps and music. Videos too if you're interested in watching on a teeni tiiny screen. It has a certain buzz to it. Lol. Also, it had a screen protector on it.
Another awesome feature that I found was that it has a BT notification app so you can sync it with your watch to receive notifications on it from your phone and basically use it as android wear which is what some imacwear users are dying for.
OK so I might have been quick to "diss" the battery power. Today the W9 has been going for 14 hour 26 mins so far I don't know if this is to do with the fact that the battery needed to "bed down" or because of the fact that I turned the back light to it's minimum setting? Well it is back to a middle setting so we will see what happens And is currently sat at 55% ..... we shall see.
Anyway more info :
The touch display, I would say, misses 5% of my "touching" but I do have problems with my moto g and it's touch screen, so I would say it will probably work for most people 100%.
What has surprised me, is that using a keyboard half the size of a postage stamp with a little finger which fills about 1/4 of the screen is quite accurate! Type the wrong letter, hit delete and then move the little finger to the right or left a millimetre or so and you have the right letter. Although typing like that takes ages. Solution ! Download the google keyboard and download your language of choice "offline version" and use speech to type, seems to work very well apart from the dual core chip working in overtime to keep up.
Back in a few days or hours with some more updates Just got GPS to get working!
OK the battery problem is not due to wifi lol.
If you charge the battery while the phone is on it does not charge properly, or does not charge enough, don't know which?
If you charge the battery in the off state while it "flickers" on and off the animated battery icon, it seems to charge the battery completely(?)
Charged the watch yesterday afternoon, while on and got 6 hours out of watch before it switched off. Charged it last night while in the "off state" and it has currently been running for 14 hours!
So if you want to get a full charge from your watch battery charge it while shutdown

Interesting info!
That's some interesting info on the battery life. Personally I leave the wifi and data connection off so at the end of the day I still have about 60 % battery remaining. I have managed to get the phone rooted and am looking to explore further. I bought the product at everbuying.com for $140. Compared to all the other smart watches this is the best bang for the buck because of the 1 GB ram and 8 GB ROM at such a low price. If you want I can do a video review of it and post it up.
I did install google keyboard and I love the gesture typing but for some reason I can't get the voice input to work. When I go to settings there isn't even an option for voice input in languages and input. I do have the mike button on my keyboard however its not working for some reason. when I click on it nothing happens.
My problem with the battery life is that it may be saying 82% and next minute the battery is dead! If I charge it when switched off I assume the electronics charge the battery but when switched on I assume the software takes over, a does not charge it fully?
Right the reason what you are getting no speech input (recognition) is that you have to be connected online via 3g. The alternative is to download the "offline" voice data.
Settings > Personal > Language & input > Google voice typing > offline speech recognition
When you use this offline it is a little slower (you get the feeling the dual core chip is working it's ass off) but it does work !
Would be interested to know what you used to root the unit?
Also would like to know if you have got the GPS working? (I still have had no luck getting this to work)
Oh and the reason I bought it was for GPS and the 1 GB ram. You try running any apps in 512Mb lol
Haha. True. I had the imacwear m7 and it would get laggy at times. I haven't tested the GPS yet but I wanna download offline maps for it like sygic or here maps.
Also, I dont have a "google voice typong " option in language and input.
I used kingoroot to root it and it was done in less then 5 mins.
I have 2 questions. 1. Have you got any lockscreen watch faces to work other then the stock ones? I have tried watchmaker but its not really good. Also, is there a way to leave the backlight on permanently? I realise that will kill my battery in a few hours but I just think it will be cool for the watch to show at all times.
2. Have you managed to connect it to your smartphone for reminders and notifications etc through the the btremind app? I can't seem to find the apk for the server on the phone side.
First, GPS finally got it working
It would probably have worked out of the box but could have taken 15 mins or more to do a satellite lock.
How to fix :
http : / / www . chinasmartphonereview . com / fix-gps-problems/
(With out spaces)
I now start to get a lock in around 10 seconds for the first sat and around 30 seconds for 5 when outside.
Inside forget it! Through a window forget it!
Now I have a satnav on my wrist

1) Sorry no but I assume you would have to root the device before being able to do this? And I don't want to do that yet. Plus I like the one that looks like an old digital watch
2) No I have not tried the btremind app, as I wanted the watch to be an independent comms device. Have you had a look through the watch storage (as yours is rooted) and spotted anything there?

¿Is this Fifone W9 good to use only as a smartphone?

I would say yes with a few limitations......
1) Screen is small but everything I have "thrown" at it so far works. Firefox,Mx player,Skype, Advance task manager, Navigator (Free), Facebook App, Google translate (Offline), Google voice search, speech recog (offline a little slow) GPS tools etc etc
2) Typing on the screen is "doable" but slow, get yourself a mini Bluetooth keyboard and you are away....
3) Battery! Battery is the only problem. Mine seems to have a mind of its own. Charge it one day and it will last over 24 hours, charge it another day and it lasts 6 hours????? Still not worked this one out but finding more and more about this device every day.
4) You do look like **** Tracy when using the phone, look him up on youtube if you don't know what I am on about.
Hope that helps

Qasimala if you go into the BTreminder app on the watch, it tells you in the help to look for an app on the play store called WatchAssistant.apk Still have not tried this yet.
Oh rooted with Kingo no problem thanks
Ju_ excuse my bad English . I 'm writing from Spain .
Thank you very much for your comprehensive answer.
I would use this watch sporadically , to do some hands-free calls , receive and answer some whatsapp , and some e- mails.
Not too much.
Do you think I can use this watch for these operations?
Thank you very much and apologize for any inconvenience
how to connect this watch
I bought this watch for its feature set and elegant design. I found the identical watch from a number of different vendors at widely varying prices. No one offered any real support and the specified companion reminder program does not exist. I have tried every bluetooth reminder app on playstore and have found only two that actually work. It seems that the software in this watch is actually from unova. One clue is that the help program is from unova. The playstore unova ironman bt reminder program works with this watch when installed on my s4. The only other program I could make work is swapapp when installed on both the phone and watch. I still have a few issues with the watch, but overall, its a fine piece of hardware. I'm looking forward to learning from other user expieriences.
Using this watch just basically would get you through the day I believe if you keep it on 2g and keep the GPS off. I really love this thing and would recommend it to one and all.
Thanks so much for telling me how to connect the watch to the phone. I tried unova and it does work.
I keep trying to push this watch's limits. I played angry birds go racing on it without a hitch. Gonna try NFS most wanted next

Your English is better than mine and I am from England lol
You will not have any problem doing what you want above. Also you probably would not need a BT Headset as speech to the watch is good and sound from the watch is a good volume, you might just have to turn the CD player down
If you want to know how well the watch performs read the comment by qasimala Need for speed on a watch lol !!!! Let me know how it goes qasimala
This watch continues to surprise me! Need for speed is working super smooth! I'll upload a video when I'm near a WiFi hotspot sometime. I use the watch for a few things mainly. I record lessons in class, listen to music on an earpiece which I bought together with the watch, I use it for working out (installed the madbarz app and it works like a wonder), I take the occasional picture or video without anyone noticing and whenever I'm bored and don't have access to my phone, I play games on it. Just got the idea to install here maps on it. I think it'll be really good because it gives you turn by turn directions offline which will probably increase the battery life on navigation quite a bit. Will let you guys know how it works out.
The No. 1 S3 is a Chinese round smartwatch. It comes in a couple of colours and both combinations are looking pretty good for the price of the device. This smartwatch costs $59usd and for that money you get a smartwatch that is also a phone. You can use it independently from your phone or with your phone.
The watch itself it's made out of plastic but it does look like it is metalic. A metalic version would have been nice but it would most likely increase the cost.
There is only one button available on the watch and it has a touch screen that it's supposed to be scratch resistant.
the back is removable and you can remove the battery, insert a memory card and a sim card. The 350mah battery is able to keep the watch going for an entire day, but will most definatley not make it thru the next day. This watch is not waterproof. There is also a speaker on the back of the device that it is surprisingly loud. There is also a microphone on the left hand side of the watch in case you want to make any phone calls or record anything.
On one of the straps there is a heart rate monitor that works very well, however it doesn't have a function to randomly measure your heart rate thru-out the day.
If you use the watch as a smartwatch there is an app that you can download and that way all your phone notifications get to the watch. Some of the health functions of the watch like the heart rate, or the pedometer will sync on the watch.
The watchfaces are quite limited and there is no way to get new ones or customize the ones that are available.
The apps that come on the watch are also the only apps that you can get, but i believe that there are enough for the little screen that the watch has. You can change the music playing on your phone from the watch, take pictures from the watch and small things like that.
I ended up using the watch as a watch, not as a smartwatch, just because i find the pedometer and heart rate monitor useful during runs and workouts.
Overall, for $58.99usd it is a very decent watch. Check out the link in the video's description if you want to check this watch out.

I have had my S3 for a couple of weeks now and for the most part it is a very nice watch for the price. My greatest issue with the watch is its inability to use a paired Bluetooth headset to make and receive calls, or even listen to music (I should also indicate that a dedicated music player to play internal music files is not included). This is an extremely inconvenient oversight, as when using the watch with a SIM card, most people feel foolish talking into the watch and would much prefer doing so via a Bluetooth headset.
This said, here are some pros/ cons with the S3:
Pros:
- Price
- Quality build
- Functionality (even though many of the apps are quite flakey, especially the vibration massage one!)
- Display
- Bluetooth and GSM reception
Cons:
- Battery life on the low side (about 8-9 hours of average use)
- No Bluetooth headset pairing
For $60 USD, the No.1 S3 gives you a nice looking watch that does not scream "geek", at least until you have to make or receive a call through it.

I regret to say that the Fundo app does very little other than set what apps can send notifications to your smartwatch and install a very limited number of additional apps. There are no map tracking apps (there is an inaccurate pedometer though). I also found that linking my smartphone to the smartwatch with the Fundo app completely screwed up my other Bluetooth connections (especially with my cars) and after discovering this, I quickly uninstalled the app. Shortly thereafter I sold the smartwatch to someone who was more interested in the looks than the substance - I am done with extremely cheap and limited functionality smartwatches.

Anyone with the Kospet Hope smartwatch? Seems like it has good specs and features, higher than Zeblaze, what is your verdict? But I think I will go with the Kospet Hope Lite, https://www.smartwatchspecifications.com/Device/kospet-hope-lite-4g-smartwatch-phone/

I like it a lot, but the problem with it is the same as with other smaller Chinese brands: they don't provide any source code to the public, so everything has to be reverse engineered - the Kospet Hope already has TWRP and root, but a custom FW with all the goodies without the useless "Fitness" app (it would be nice, but the one on the watch is pure crap) and other bloatware would be AMAZING!
My advice is: the Kospet Hope 4G 3/32 is a great watch, but don't buy the Lite version if you haven't already ordered it. If you have, then you will enjoy that too! )

Have had the Lite for 3 days and am quite disappointed. Great hardware, but useless firmware/OS, and there is no getting around it, that I have found...
The GPS is not working with the fitness app, so forget about tracing a map or route or whatever. Google Maps is useless, under this resolution.
You can check your pulse with the built in app, which is useless, no history or syncing to the phone. Even if it did, the accuracy is terrible. I had HIGHER pulse sitting in my car than during running.
Yes, you can download any app from the store, but remember the screen is 320x320... Do you have any idea how Facebook looks on 320x320?? It's half VGA!! Imagine that your phone screen is a quarter the size of you KEYBOARD. Now try to run the phone on that small size, that how an Android phone works and looks like...
Even the watch faces are terrible, and I still haven't found a way to add any.
It is a beautiful watch, quite bulky (too much), but it is mostly useless. If someone does a Wear Os ROM for it, it might be a killer watch, but definitely not with this firmware/OS.
Thinking of selling it and getting an Amazfit.
This seems like the same story for all these Chinese no brand watches: good hardware, garbage software !
Why don't they just open the whole thing up as open source and within a year you'd probably have a better platform than Android Wear. I guess they don't do this because then they wouldn't be able to hide all of the government mandated spyware to pillage your personal info.
Hope is the real deal.. Just wish the software was more customizable.

Hi all,
I just got mine last week.
The good:
Great battery life
Full android means u can install anything .. if you choose to add anything.
Great specs and everything works like advertised.
All features work with no issues whatsoever.
Can put a sim card in it and make it work like a full phone.
Can import contacts from google and whatapp and so on.
Camera is great in lighted areas .. better than I expected but it is limited by watch size.
Screen is gorgeous and you get access to unlimited watch faces from google.
Bluetooth integration with phone and wireless and 4G work perfectly.
Waking screen on hand raise works great.
Ambient watch is perfect.
Screen and quality of the watch is top notch.
Charges back to full in an hour.
The wish list:
Better software that would allow you to customize your menus and move things around.
Ability to map the button presses so I can add google assistant to a button
Not so good:
Very hard to read the tiny letters of any messages you get in the menus
In bright sunlight it is hard to see the screen and the ambient clock
The charging cable connection can be weak and disconnect if in a shaking backpack.
Honestly, for the low price you pay and the battery life and quality you get, it is great and as it gets with smart watches.
Cheers.

there is no need to map a button to get google assistant, you just go to settings, languages & input, virtual keyboard, select google voice typing, and then voice match, enable "ok google" any time and unlock with voice match and you'll be able to activate google assistant on any screen, that do not awake the watch unless you hit one button, but once you do just say "ok/hey google" working on my kopet Optimus pro

For those who are interested: I got one
All firmware, hacking, tweaking and changing here on my page: https://sites.google.com/site/tweakradje/android/kospet-hope-lite
I bought the Kospet Optimus Pro and had problems with it after a day of use. The touch screen would go crazy sometime. Couldn't do anything with it. Did a few full reset, but eventually the problem came back. Think it was my last time buying a Chinese watch. In principle, the hardware specs is good. But, the software is garbage. And with me, the touch screen too. Upon searching in YouTube, I saw a person with the same problem. So, I would stay away from it. But of course, my was probably defective. Even so, I'll stick with a name brand that provide warranty within my country.
My findings after a month. No big issues.
firmware 03052019
Problems:
- wrist raise gesture doesn't always work
- some notifications disappear (like with OsmAnd/maps/vending and existing route)
- sort apps (by name) in launcher
- google voice search long press back-button?
- more accurate heart rate monitor
- glass in not gorilla glass, scratches
- screen consumes too much power
Whish:
- tap watch face actions like weather (on weather area on watchface) etc...
- round to square user zoom factor
- screen refresh rate to 30 Hz or less?
- set screen color intensity
- long press app in launcher > properties and uninstall
- extra launcher app overview like 3x3
- always on time digital/analog user selectable
Cheers
Issues on Kospet Hope
Hello
Cons:
1. the 400x400 resolution of display give us an impredictable screen which is hard to tap at the corner (the third-party applications like any browser give a very little interface who it is inoperable without apk who could changing the resolution of the screen).
2. the autonomy of battery is a big fault : with 2 hour of browsing in 4G connection, 7 hours of bluetooth connection with my Note 4 without screen on, half of the intensity of the screen all the time and 2 hours of working in settings tab, without 4G connection of mobile data it means 11 hours of a real life of battery! A big caca!
3. the keyboard is have many problems to tap at the edge so it very hard to write something in this tiny layout so facebook and Messenger are not suitable for these reasons;
4.Sometime the gesture"raise hand to turn on the screen" not works!
5. the wiiwatch2 it is big caca!
6. the Wach Droid Phone and assistant lose, ramdomly, the link with smartwatch (bluetooth connection)
7.My old smartwatch ZGPax S8 could make a decent browsing at only 240x240 pixels resolution, with translucent keyboard apllication "Flit Keyboard". The Kospet Hope it is in backyard, 10 years ago!
8. In charging mode with bluetooth on or wi-fi turning on, it is very hot
9. very thick! not for women!
10. a very unusefull interface of android 7.1.1
11. Iwill not buy another one !
Pro:
1.Speed.
2. Display Amoled
3. Sound
4.Good construction
5.Faces of watch
6.good camera pictures (5 MPx real, not interpolatwd by software) but worst video recording

UPDATES:
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
So I've had a couple days to play with it. Here are my thoughts.
1: Mine came with what appears to be a bubble in the glass layers, and some chips in the bezel around the glass.
2: The watch is much lighter than I thought it would be for being so large.
3: Text can be small, but is still quite readable.
4: Things are resized for this watch's screen resolution. (It's Android OS, not Wear OS) When installing an application, some of the options (accept, install, yes, no), barely show up on the screen.
5: Build quality seems on par with the price. It's not "cheap" feeling, but also not "quality."
6: The camera quality is on par with what you'd expect for a camera put into a watch. It records as well as takes still pictures.
7: It's definitely snappier than my TicWatch Pro LTE for menu and most navigation, however there are some times when it doesn't shine as well (like when just trying to log in to my gmail account).
8: Battery life right now with installing apps, usage, screen going on and off, wifi on, bluetooth on, no sim, gps off, I'm at 93% (6 hours of I'd say heavy use with installing apps and setup).
9: The screen is VERY bright, but has the ability to dim it like a phone.
10: There are 11 watch faces built in. Most of the options are quite ugly but also contain some "transformer " looking options (I guess this goes with the "Prime" aspect of it.
11: You can set it to either metric or imperial measurements for your fitness tracking
12: The app that you can download for it is called WiiWatch (No relation to Nintendo I'm sure). It really only just shows your fitness tracking data and has a few settings.
The packaging is interesting, every box has Kospet on it. It comes with a screw driver, as well as additional screw(s), a screen protector, a charger + usb cable. I'd like to add that the usb cable plugging into the charger does not go in all the way, as well as the watch resting on it doesn't always make the best connection.

I've just bought it...
When I get it I can leave some insights if you want.
It's a great watch build quality super, the only thing it's font size on notification and the browser, install setting search and change the font size to large, leave the display size as it's. Good looking watch

Have you received it already? Mine says it was shipped today, so it will still take a few weeks I guess.
Is it well synchronized with your phone? Do you receive all the notifications from Messenger and Whatsapp without delays?
You have to share you internet connection in order to have those right? You share it from bluetooth?
Also, how's it in terms of battery life?
Thanks in advance!
I have received it. I didn't wear it for the weekend, and when I came back (after ~50h), it still had 50% of battery left. It gets the notifications via Bluetooth, dismissing them dismisses them only from the watch. I don't know if they are actionable. Then it disconnected and I stopped getting them, but oh well, at least it shows the time.
How do I install Wear OS on this thing? The original software is... ugh. On the watch you have just Android 7, but the phone app is typical Chinese sh*t with no settings and almost no functionality (just to disable some apps form sending notifications, view fitness data, battery level and download watchfaces with no search/sort options ). Doesn't let you configure anything on the watch remotely (and I don't like watch touchscreens that much...)
When I won the battle of enabling google assistant on the watch, and asked it to turn on the lights, it... googled the phrase. Even though it's the same account as I use everywhere else.

i did return mine because it have some dust debris between the display and i don't like Gear..****. So they don't have the watch anymore in stock, that is what they
said and they will give me the money back loosing expending $10 more in the transaction . so i did decide to buy the Lemfo Lem10 3/32Gb for $125 .
The Prime its pretty build quality and good looking, for me the downside was the resolution 400x400 for 1.6" inches display still the font size too small and for outdoors purpose the IPS display wasn't really good like the Zeblaze Thor Pro 3g Android 5.1, year old device.
Don't install or use the Wiiwatch companion app, instead use Watchdroid app its much better, yes you will get all the notification with more features and everything with Bluetooth connection, don't need for internet sharing. i did return mine because it have some dust debris between the display and i don't like Gear..****.
Go to Discouse Fullandroid watch.com and you will find all kinds of information.

no much time to play ,i did return it in 3 days after
I'll be making updates to the original post as I dig in some more.
Just came back from a hol in the states and met this watch on my desk. Nice build quality and as previously mentioned not as light as the size would suggest. Just installing apps on it now. Will get back on how it's going.. I have been using it pretty hevily and i have already drained 60% of power after 5 hours.. Not sure if this is acceptable but i can't keeep my hands off the thing so the display has been on for a fair while each time. Incidently, the battery came 100% charged.

any new reports from the last days?
A friend of mine already got it in England and he says that if you are using the WatchDroid app also the battery drains a lot!
Also, he says that it keeps disconecting, he needs to open the app on the watch to get all the notifications. Do you relate to any of this?

Not entirely sure this is down to WatchDroid though I have uninstalled it now myself. My battery drain was mainly down to the Wifi adapter being enabled. this has definately been an issue with previous versions of the Kospet watch range and I suspect this may not have changed here. I was down to 50% battery within half a day with Wifi enabled.. Having disasbled it i am easily getting the best part of 2 plus days out of it with moderate use and disabling Wifi when not using it.

We found a solution in this forum:
https://discourse.fullandroidwatch.com/t/the-kospet-prime-official-post/50234/200
Apparently he doesn't "like" to have the WiiWatch and watchdroid on at the same time....once he deactivated all the WiiWatch services it's all good...
I'm still waiting to receive mine, it's been on Amsterdam wearhouse for a couple of days, smoking one out I guess...
Short review after a few days of use - Kospet PRIME
I am advanced user of the smartwatches since the first generation of Galaxy GEAR watch from SAMSUNG (SM-V700) with custom rom (full android)
It would be great to have similar watch with current up-to-date hardware - main request is to keep the camera placement facing outwards (on the body of the watch, not on the belt) to ensure that watch is water tight to 50 meters (at least to allow swimming/snorkeling with it – see Sunto watches for good water tight specs)
For Kospet Prime – Watch is nice but I have following (software) problems:
1. cradle connection sound would be nice to have – for now it is not sure that it is really well connected and charging
2. charging icon is displayed but too short time – please display it for longer or for whole time when watch is connected to the cradle
3. lack of ability to customize buttons (especially down button for camera operation for example
4. lack of configurable default applications screen – by sweeping right – after the list (or “apple style” apps icons) there should be possible to select 6-9 application shortcuts in the screen
5. lack of quick dial contact list (I need to be able to dial quickly to 6 or 9 contacts – activate call on the main phone when watch is in airplane mode, and activate call on the watch with SIM active
6. switching from round to square screen make the menu list invisible (ok after restart)
7. swipe up shall be customizable – instead of default sport application it should be configurable – for example to launch camera
8. temperature on the default watch screen is updated, however with delay (only when weather check is done)
9. video on the main camera is recorded VERTICALLY ???!!! WHY not horizontally ???
10. COMMUNICATION WITH PHONE when with watch in the “airplane mode” but with BT/wifi on - to see incoming calls notifications – who is calling. When (Connected normal big Android phone) phone is ringing – this shall be improved – please start to work with company Lumatic Software - and integrate/optimize well their application “Watch Droid” - in general please be more aware of the real use of the watch – in most cases watch is used WITH close integration with large phone (like Samsung NOTE10+) and all messages from phone shall be displayed on the watch, it should be possible to start phone calls from watch but ON THE PHONE with BT headset connected, so for example when You are riding the bike, there is no need to take big phone out from the pocket- You start the phone call from the watch, and talk over BT headset. Phone functionality in the watch itself is used only from time to time – for example if somebody goes to run or goes to the beach (that is why 5atm water tightness is needed) – just to be able to make quick phone call from the watch, without taking “big” phone on the run. In general – please copy the behavior (and stability ) of the Samsung watches, just keep the camera ..
11. Please allow to disable animation for time display – If somebody want to have quick look – it takes time the watch “stabilize” and shows real time
12. Screen on rising – works with delay – it is not stable for all the time
13. Default setup is missing calculator application.
14. temperature on the default watch screen is updated, however with delay (only when weather check is done)
15. contacts are displayed by first name instead of last name – I did not find the way to switch this setting for last name first
16. For desktop adaptation and functionality – please try to allow configuration as in NOVA LAUNCHER – to be able to set icons as needed, enable swipe actions, etc.
Hardware upgrade requests for “ideal watch”:
- 5 atm water tight – please make such watch really water tight to allow to swim/dive with it
- Cameras shall be placed at 12 hour Instead of 3 and face outwards (same as on SM-V700 Samsung watch) with second camera front facing.
- Camera shall record video in horizontal mode PLEASE!!!!
- Camera quality – please use 5MP camera sensor with good low light quality – there is no need for too many megapixels, but the camera shall offer good quality
- Two more customizable buttons on the left of the watch to launch custom applications quickly
- Wireless charging
- Reliable pulse/ecg measurement

Thanks for the updates!!
From what I could gather, most of your problems can be solved if you install WatchDroid instead of WiiWatch and also put on a launcher (can't remember the name now). Don't forget that this is a fully-fledged android so we can tweak around all we want...

I am already waiting 5 years since SM-V700 Galaxy gear watch... but I do not think that it will take that long right now - in fact it is jut the redesign of the watch case to move the camera to the top of the watch, and I hope that this new chassis will also be redesigned to feature 5atm water tightness. The rest of the watch is quite good - battery capacity in PRIME is 4 times!!! the capacity of SM-V700 (1260 vs 315 mAh) I have made custom setup for the watch and thanks to Watch Droid application in the v9.1.19.9 version (previous than the version available now in Playstore) it is possible to integrate watch with the android phone quite well.
I will try to publish YT video about it.
Are there any other forums I can check out for help with this watch? Anyone got a recommendation of companion app other than Wii Watch (utter toilet) or Watch Droid (flaky at best)
