New MI VR Headset with Controller - Google Cardboard

Anyone already got hands on the new MI VR headset ?
It's said, that it only supports Mi Note 2, Mi 5 and Mi 5S phones. Could it be possible that this is only because of the placement of the USB connector in the headset and phone(s) ?
If so, it might be possible to 'tinker' the headset, Remove the fixed USB connector from the headset and attach a cable to it. So other devices may also work.
Just a thought...

MR Handfree Pro - anyway to make a connector??

I have a MR handsfree Pro in my car, and its been pretty good. Anyway - I doubt they will make a connector for the HTC Wizard - would love to be proved wrong of course - so was wondering if anyone knows if you can make a connector?
Thanks
Scott
I don't have a Wizard yet so this is only going by the photos but I think the older Mtotorola/Panasonic adaptor would work. The type that used to fit the Moto V66 and Panasonic GD87 and similar phones.
The type that are just a 2.5mm jack, I think this is what the Wizard has and should work no probs.
Seems the connection is a mini USb. Anyone know if any of the Mr Handfree Pro connectors are also mini USB?

[Q] wireless display audio

I have a ptv3000 and it works pretty good for streaming my phone's screen wirelessly to my display. the only problem i have is that when i enable wireless display all the audio no longer works. seems like widi completely takes over the phone's audio out. my display does not support audio over hdmi and there doesn't seem to be a way to redirect the phone's audio to bluetooth or the headphone jack.
does anyone know of an app or setting or anything that will let me select what audio output to use while using wireless display?
Thanks.
Has anyone else even noticed this?
How exactly do you use widi?(noob question, I know)
It never recognizes my Samsung smart TV...

I don't have a Samsung TV and I don't know how/if your TV works, but on my phone I go to Settings-->Display-->Wireless Display and pairing/setup is very straightforward from there with my Netgear PTV3000.
Regarding the thread topic, I'm surprised that nobody else has commented on seeing this issue. I'm starting to think this might be a problem on my end.

Great. Thanks for checking it out. I could be wrong here, but I expect this actually doesn't have anything to do with the receiver (a PTV3000 in these cases), but rather a limitation of android that means we're locked to sending audio only through WiDi when it's turned on.
It wold also be great to hear from anyone who's got WiDi working with any other receiver to check if this assumption is true.

yep, the audio is only sent via the widi. there is no sound from the phone speaker.
Alright, then is anyone out there aware of a way to override the audio output so that it doesn't get forced through WiDi? I find it hard to believe that where's no way to hear sound if connected display doesn't support audio via HDMI.
hmm Im having the exact opposite issue. Wireless display streams fine to my TV over the PTV3000, but there is no audio output to TV everything just comes out the phones speakers

Headset remote control not working after OxygenOS 2.1 update (Xiaomi Piston 2)

Hi,
just found out my xiaomi pistons 2 headset remote control is not working after the 2.1 update (they worked before),
I tested a pistons 3 headset which is still working, can anyone tell if an easy workaround can fix this ?
Btw is there an official way to report a bug to oneplus or just wait for someone to have a look in their forums ?
Thanks
Having the same issue with my piston 2 ordered the 3 thinking that mine where broken.
Should have tested first

Hi guys, I watched a video on YouTube with the piston 2 connected and the buttons have started working, give it go and see if it works for you...
Edit - Disconnected the earphones and now I can't get it to work again [emoji25]

Same for me.. Sucks because I like to travel with bike and it is really handy to use the remote while riding.
Same on my end with oxygen 2.0.2[emoji22]

Oneplus and MI Type C earphones with ANC

Hi,
I want to know if anyone has tried MI New type C earphones with stock OnePlus 2 rom. I need to purchase this New type C headphones but not sure whether it will work with my phone.
I would buy normal earphones to use the phone's DAC, that one is way better I believe.
If you must buy them, buy and try

Poor Bluetooth connection

Maybe your problem will be solved with a restore of the phone
