(Ask) LG Stylo 2 V (VS835) verizon wireless - LG Stylo 2 Questions & Answers

I have searched for the posting of the Verizon Wireless varient of the LG Stylo 2 and cannot find one.
Does anybody know of a root method for the Vzw LG Stylo 2 V? I have stayed on the software version VS83510B and will not upgrade even though Verizon Wireless has an update available for the phone now. I cannot find a detailed explanation of the update on verizon's site, nor did I find it on LG's site.
Thank you for the information and help.

I've been looking for a root method for this device as well. I tried One Click Root and Kingo and neither one worked.

Looks like there is no solution for this device?
If anyone has a way to root this lg vs835 please let us know!

List Secret codes may help
I dont have the VZW version , however I do have some of the VZW settings options in my METRO pcs version.
The link I am providing may assist you in unlocking the potential of your device. After trying some of the codes I provide please let me know which codes work for you to access settings in your phone.
If you do not have the same (APP'S) in your phone then the codes from the list may not work for you. I could try to share the app so you can install it?? That might be intersting.
There are 38 pages included in the PDF file. Scroll down til you see Telophony secret code (#########) there are several in the list,
CAUTION! I HAVE NOT TESTED ALL THE CODES AND IT IS UNKNOW HOW THEY ALL WORK.
YOU MUST ADD *#*# in front then end with #*#* WITH THE SECRET CODE FROM THE LIST IN BETWEEN.

SM-G900R4 - US Cellular Galaxy S5 Unlock

Hello everyone,
Sorry if this was posted already - I am typing this up in between other projects and I wanted to put something out here so I wouldn't forget. This last weekend, I purchased a used Galaxy S5 CDMA phone branded by US Cellular. I searched and searched for a way to unlock it but I was not able to find anything that worked for me. My phone is currently running Android 4.4.2 and none of the *# dial codes would do anything for me. Finally I was near a local US Cellular today so I brought my phone in and they unlocked the SIM for me so I can use it with other carriers. I haven't had a chance to go through the phone yet after the unlock, but I plan on looking at it tonight when I get home to find out if I can figure out how it was unlocked so I can share that info with anyone on the site who would like to unlock their SM-G900R4. I'm hoping that during their unlocking process, the hidden menus were left visible so I can look at the phone's file structure. I'll report back as soon as I know more.

Just a quick follow up... I didn't have a chance to go through my phone extensively last night, but I did see something that may or may not be of interest. When I got my phone back after being unlocked, there was an icon for mceFramework. When I clicked on it, it ran in the upper corner of the phone and when I swiped down it said it would be uninstalled. From what I have read about it, it has really nothing to do with the unlocking of the phone though.
Depending on what time I get home tonight will determine if I get to really dig into the phone tonight or not. I'm hoping there is something I will be able to find that will be useful. The US Cellular phone is a bit different though, as I mentioned before regarding the *# codes... No matter what *# codes I try, they do not work... even something as simple as *#060# does nothing on my phone - even after being unlocked. If I find something, I'll report back.

Hello, I came across this thread and just thought I'd share how I was able to unlock my Galaxy s5 Mini (US Cellular). I tried just about everything, but what finally worked was simply flashing the stock rom which can be found at the sammobile site. Use 'Odin', instructions included on the website.

Hello -- stock rom by model number. I think in most cases this is just stock Android for the carrier of specified model, minus bloatware and network lock. Well, I correct myself -- there may be some bloatware, but certainly less than what was there after performing the factory reset. The link to 'sm-g900r4' rom is at sammobile(dotcom), firmwares, search for model number -- and download latest version.
In my case, phone model is 'sm-g800r4' (US Cellular). Everywhere I looked online suggested that I had to contact US Cellular and request instructions for unlocking, but they will only do this if you have the original sim card. So, I finally flashed the stock rom using Odin, following very basic instructions (included on the rom site). After flashing, I still had the US Cellular splash screen, but my verizon sim suddenly worked with the device. Next step for me -- root and replace that ugly US Cellular splash screen with the gorgeous lollipop boot animation. Very nice.
If you need assistance with specific instructions let me know, and I can provide a quick summary.
Simple instructions, great site to join for US Cell users.

Got my G4c today, but really need root for security tracking software and link2SD since space is very small!
Hope someone will find a solution.
So its the low-end/affordable G series for the year? I'm sure the method will be identical.

I've asked this before but from what people have told me if it's a differently designed phone. It cant be rooted the same way. Though they might not know what their talking about so if anyones willing to try it out with theirs and tell us if it works here's a guide.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/discussion-unlock-root-situations-please-t3122752
They are pretty identical, but one is an MTK, the G4c is a snapdragon 401.I bought the G4 to see if it's really more powerfull even if a lot of reviews says that 1GB of ram is not enaught to make a fast experience like a G4, but I don't trust MTK so much (and I knew that the MTK model has line problem), plus this is LTE.
Actually I bought it for the cameras, if a root won't be out soon I'll send it back and I'll go for the MTK one.
Sorry for the OT, but I'm pretty tired of the very low quality of my S3 Neo cameras, I'll do some test tomorrow, but even tonight I had some shameful camera lags with the S3 neo... :-/
Looks like I'm the only one with that phone...actually I'm waiting for root to test it, but if the LG backup app will do a good job maybe I will try it this week.
The Huge problem is that I like to "clone" my phones apps with titanium and have them all even in the secondary phone, and I can't do that there since no root.
I just will check cameras and lagginess I have a month to send it back to amazon, if no solution will be found I'll switch to the cheaper MTK one even if I HATE mtk...
Interested
Recently bought a LG G4c (H525n) phone. I'm interested in achieving root so any info is thankful

It's scam, to get the app you must compile a questionary and the app is scam otherwise somebody would alredy have been linked it!
we are still stuck, maybe because it's just an european version? I bought it on german amazon, if somebody would tell me that cameras are identical I would send it back and get the cheaper one instead, but actually I don't trust MTK, specially for signal and GPS
Actually we can survive unrooting, for adaware and cerberus, but the internal memory is 3GB and I can'r even restore the 4,6GB backup made from lg 4G since the card can be formatted only with FAT32 :-/
And the worts part is that LG backup is a SINGLE FILE!!!! I will try with other apps, I use it a secondary phone to take so nice selfie (s3neo both cameras are crap....) so if someone know ow to fit a 4,6GB gile int he fat32 let me know.
I already googled, but no answers: it's an european model and looks like the great coocker are from USA or asia Have a nice holiay!

[Q] Any information on an LG G4c (H525n) Root?

Hey there xda. I've recently obtained an LG G4c (H525n) phone and so far for power its been reliable. As for storage not so much. So i've been trying to find ways of rooting the thing so that I would be able to uninstall some of the bloatware stored on the device. Though as of so far nothing useful has turned up. There was this one website I found that did show a step by step guide of being able to do this, though the way of downloading a certain file needed for this process as well as the webpage itself looked very fishy to me. Though It could just be that I'm very paranoid and just need reasuring over it.
Here's the website name down below....
howto-root.info/2015/07/lg-g4c-7250
As well as this I found another article describing the method of rooting the LG G4. This is probably useless as they're both differently designed mobile devices. Though as the LG G4c is just a compact, cheaper version of the LG G4, does that mean that you can root them both the same way?
Heres the article...
naldotech.com/how-to-root-lg-g4-h815-using-supersu
So now i'm here just to ask if any of you guys here have any helpful information relating to this subject. As I need to root this device desperatley.
not that I know of
http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/help/lg-g4c-h525n-root-discussion-t3145001 we are talking about that there, but as far now no solution
Such a schame that a €260 phone has 3GB free for appas...

Lg Stylo 3 Lgl83bl root

Has anyone found a root method for the Lg Stylo 3?
Build number: NRD90U
Software version: Lgl83bl10a
I keep finding methods for the stylo 2 plus and 3 plus but none for the stylo 3. Need a working root asap.
I'm on the same boat. I bought the phone thinking it was ok to use with Tmobile but to my surprise, it's locked. :crying:
Still nothing? I am assuming that both of you have the same problem of bootloader? My stylo 3 just boots right back into system....
Not sure if this phone will ever be rooted its been out for sometime now.
HELP
I too am having the same issue when I try to boot into bootloader it just restarts the system is this going to be an unrootable phone
Found a solution

This tutorial worked for me for bypassing verification: [cannot post link because I'm new; go to hardreset dot info and search for lg stylo 3] . There were a couple of tricky steps. One was getting a phone number to come up while in youtube. Just search for KFC, go to the youtube about page and click the URL. Next was having a bluetooth headset (required). You only need it briefly but it is a must.
I assume all of the LG Stylo 3 tutorials are legit after this one worked.

Interesting. I too came across the BT method but didn't give it a try on this model. You should write a tutorial on your method. This phone was a bit of a pain at first to get past. I kept having my Accessibility Switch Access Help Page framed in for some reason. Finally after hard resetting a few times I was able to access an unframed version and get out to the internet / settings.

H910 flashing with US996 help needed

Hi
I am a total noob to this rooting, custom roms and such things. I always used the stock rom and really never wished to end up screwing my phone. But recently i bought LG V20 H910 and it is not ATT carrier. I am not receiving any updates because of that. Also i get a huge carrier name in the taskbar in top left which blocks many notification icons. I tried searching on Google for solution. One was xposed and it needed rooting, so i backed out. Other was with a play store app "system UI tuner" and it needs ADB permissions so i again backed out. (system UI tuner is not turning on in my phone).
I found in Google search as well as XDA told me that i can install US996 version and it will work just fine. But i have few questions, which i hope someone can answer:
How to install US996 version on H910? What are the steps? I am total new to this. I need a full step by step for everything. So, if someone can write it. I will be very thankful. I would also need the download links to US996 KDZ files, as i couldn't locate them. Sorry.
This is the [link to XDA chat](https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=76584559&postcount=5) where he said that i need to see what bands are available with that rom. I didn't get this.
Please help me with this.
