Vivo Xplay 3S finally breaks the barrier as world's first 2K phone

Just when it looked as Samsung will be the first, or even Oppo who boasted they will do it first just yesterday, Vivo, at Beijing's Water Cube event center in China, has finally released the world's first mobile phone with 2560x1440 pixels resolution.
The Vivo Xplay 3S features a massive 6" 2560x1440pixels QHD(not the same as qHD) display with a PPI sum of 490 — though huge, but unfortunately not crashing through the 500 PPI barrier as expected(if it came with a 5.5-inch screen).
The phone is powered by's Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 8974AB SoC, 2.3GHz Krait 400 CPU, 3GB of RAM and Adreno 330 GPU. The power juice is supplied by a 3200mAh battery. The Xplay 3S sports a 13MP camera with f/1.8 aperture, and can record 1080p motion pictures.
Now, away from the basics, the Vivo Xplay 3S is the model of a 2014 flagship. A fingerprint sensor just below the flash and stereo speakers at the back makes you wanna wish Santa for one right away.
Is the 2K resolution a bad-ass feature or a gimmick?

Not quite sute if our eye will be able to catch the difference of such a display. Personally I can't tell the difference between a galaxy S3 and galaxy S4...
Check out this video by MKBHD. He has a very good point about this 2K displays.

Note also
That Vivo is Made under OPPO's umbrella so technically speaking well you know the rest they are the first lol I want this phone so bad just for its advanced audio for wired music I cant find it anywhere I can trust to purchase it so ill wait some time it will be this the S5 or the find 7 another Oppo device! excited for either or mainly this one my last resource will be to ask a college friend who lives in china right now to go look for it for me lol
vivo xplay 3s seller
hey there,
here is the link for a trusted seller,he had problems shipping before but is now using TNT to ship and all is going smoothly, once you click on the vivo button you can scroll down to the bottom of the page and post questions to the seller,he will also put google on it for you before shipping
and i must say it is an awesome device...the antutu benchmark blows everything else out of the water, the only two cons are you cannot replace the battery and no ex sd other than that it just rocks...oh and you have to learn the os because there is no manual for it:good:

[Discussion] News about le eco 1s successor Le 2

Le Eco may official announce the successor of le 1s on April 20 2016 with few other devices in an event in Beijing.
While the 1s sports an all-metal build, the 2s is reported to be a metal plus glass build
Some leaks states that newer model comes with a more powerful processor — the Snapdragon 652 — which is about 40% more powerful than the Snapdragon 650 found inside the Redmi Note 3.
According to some other leaks it may have deca-core MediaTek MT6769T chipset with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The device features a 5.5-inch Full HD display. Inside we find a deca-core MediaTek MT6769T chipset clocked at 2.0GHz and handling the graphics will be an ARM Mali-T880.
There’s 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage with no support for microSD cards. The primary camera on the Le 2 will be a 16MP unit and it also features 4K video recording. The front-facing camera is an 8MP unit.
Another important feature that should keep the Le 2 ahead of the competition when announced will be an ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
According to Leaks i think it is worth waiting for this device if it comes with snapdragon processor
The letv team is launching a new phone every month this makes me more assured that the buyers are not going to get support for these phones .the ui is buggy and crappy .camera app is worst than a 5k handset they have huge amount of bloatware already loaded that even 3 GB ram is insufficient to handle those terrorists.rather than addressing these issues they are launching new buggy handsets.my advise is to stay away from this manufacturer

ASUS ZenFone 3, Deluxe, Ultra - Opinions

Hey guys, now that Asus has unveiled the specs and pricing of Asus Zenfone 3 variants, what do you think?
Asus ZenFone 3 is the most basic model of the three. It has an aluminum frame body with 2.5D Corning Gorilla Glass on the front and back. On the front is a 5.5-inch 1080p Super IPS+ display with up to 500 nits brightness and 77.3% screen to body ratio.
The Zenfone 3 also has a 16 megapixel camera on the back with ASUS TriTech autofocus that combines second generation laser autofocus, phase detection autofocus and contrast detection autofocus to achieve focus in 0.03 seconds.
The handset runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and has up to 4GB of RAM. There is also a fingerprint sensor on the back.
Asus ZenFone 3 Deluxe is the flagship model. It has a full metal body with no visible antenna lines and 4.2mm edges. It is built around a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with over 100% NTSC color gamut and 79% screen to body ratio.
The phone runs on the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 with up to 6GB of RAM. On the back is a 23 megapixel Sony IMX318 camera with f2.0 aperture, 4-axis optical image stabilization, and 4K video with the same TriTech autofocus system as on the ZenFone 3.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe uses a USB Type-C connector with USB 3.0 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 support. The phone also has a fingerprint sensor on the back. Lastly, there is also a single five-magnet speaker and Hi-Res Audio support.
Asus ZenFone 3 Ultra has a massive 6.8-inch 1080p display with 95% NTSC color gamut support, 79% screen to body ratio, and what ASUS calls Tru2Life+ Video technology that uses a high-end 4K UHD TV-grade image processor. The ZenFone 3 also has two five-magnet speakers, Hi-Res Audio support, and also the first phone to have virtual 7.1 channel surround sound with DTS Headphone: X.
On the back is the same 23 megapixel camera as on the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The phablet is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 with up to 4GB of RAM, and a 4600mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support.
The Zenfone 3 Deluxe can also charge other devices with a 1.5A output. Lastly, there is a fingerprint sensor on the front of the device. All packed in a full metal body with no visible antenna lines.
Prices start at $249 for the ZenFone 3,
$499 for the ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and
$479 for the ZenFone 3 Ultra.

definitely keen on the zenfone 3 deluxe
wouldn't mind the bigger screen ultra but the specs are not as good
I'm more interested in Deluxe variant of Asus ZenFone 3
I learned my lesson from ZF2 and will therefore avoid ZF3 (I personally am not happy with the support ZF2 received).
And no, I don't want to argue about it, I am just stating my personal subjective opinion for the record.
Thankfully the 2nd sim slot is also the sd card slot so I won't be tempted to change. Need more than 64gb and also need 2 sims.

They all seem good. The regular zenfone 3 is a lot of phone for $249. Yeah, not a blazing fast CPU, but most people use a tiny fraction of their phones processing power most of the time, and the 14nm process should be very energy efficient. Otherwise it is pretty sweet and well specced for the price. The deluxe is a beast. Expensive for ASUS, but for the level of hardware base $499 price is good. The Ultra is certainly niche. Not as powerful in terms of soc, but still no slouch and the audio and video capabilities make it pretty enticing. I voted deluxe, but if I had the money and wasn't pissed off at ASUS for the upgrade farce of the Zf2, would be a toss up between the deluxe and ultra. I'd need to try them in person in the shop before deciding.
Wait so no quick charge on base model?
Don't get me wrong I love my Zenfone 2, even if only after unlocking and flashing CM, but really just a 1080p screen for base and deluxe and a 625 processor on the base, and still just a 3,00maH battery. I think I'd be passing on this phone in favor on the next nexus phones.

I have the same sentiments. Seems like the only major improvement is on the camera. I don't know why glass is considered to be such a major upgrade to design as well, repairability is gonna take a hit. The 625 isn't even gonna compete with any other cheaper mid range offerings having SD 650(Redmi note 3 pro), SD 801 (Oneplus x) and even our very own intel atom z35XX line. The deluxe on the other hand is flagship material but is gonna have a hard time considering cheaper equally or better specs alternatives like ZTE Axon 7 at $450 and the soon to be released Oneplus 3.

THIS.. Ohh why would Asus change such a basic yet beautiful option.. Why why why.. What a let down..
Can't wait for Zenfone 3 Deluxe....
I just hope that the battery is good enough.
just hoping that zenfone 3 will have better battery life since its not Intel and having a better display.
And please when it comes out in my country it will rougly same price as zenfone 2 when it launch
The camera should be also really great...i hope better than Samsung / LG..
I had high expectations of their next ZenFone, but so far I'm disappointed. Not having a separate slot for the MicroSD is a let down for me. I need two working SIM slots AND a MicroSD at the same time. A "basic" version with 128GB would probably make me consider it and not need an SD. The glass body of the basic ZF3 seems impractical and I've never been a fan of glass for a phone's back. (An I the only one who prefers plastic -good plastic- over glass or metal?) The deluxe will cost more than I'm willing to pay for a phone, and will probably be too big (have not seen yet dimensions listed on any site). And the "Ultra" is way too big for me. The only thing I'm not clear is how the GPU on any I'd these versions compares to the G6430 in the ZF2.

I am a little disappointed that Asus changed the design so much as I love the look of my ZF2. I would prefer the Deluxe model but I doubt I will have the money for it. The base ZF3 would work for me but I am looking at all of my options for my next upgrade. I have a spreadsheet that currently has 15 different prospects laid out. The ZF3 is in the mix but it is not the only one in the running.
Unlike others I am more than happy with my ZF2 from the time of purchase at release through today. I picked up a ZE551KL (ZF2 Laser) from Swappa and am astounded at just how much better my original ZF2 is versus the Laser. While the ZF3 has a Snapdragon 625 vs the ZF2 Laser's Snapdragon 615 I am worried that the ZF3 would be slower than my ZF2.
The deluxe seems nice but in my opinion most people in the market for an unlocked phone aren't looking to spend $500+ for a phone, I know that's out of my budget especially with the lack of support on its previous flagship.
I may buy one but hope that the deluxe doesnt contain a speaker as cheap as the zenfone 2 which i replaced twice. Hopefully its a good speaker.
Any one know the antutu skor for deluxe ???
I read that the 6gb axon 7 is roughly $650usd but the 4gb is listed at 450usd
I'm guessing asus will use similar price point
Although I keep reading that the version being released for 499usd is 6gb/64gb. So fingers crossed that there is 4gb/64gb version a little cheaper and a 6gb/128gb a little more. It will kill me if that price announced in the conference was for 4gb version! Although they were pressing the point of it having 6g ram the whole time before flashing the 499 price tag on the screen.
I don't know asus are confusing!
Anyone want to take a guess?
