[Q] Swtich to stock launcher after pure breeze (user default) crashes after reboot

Hi, I've rebooted my phone after installing some ringtones from a .zip file through recovery mode. And now, my chosen default Pure Breeze launcher always force closes and never works. How do I change to the default stock launcher if I the (user default) Pure Breeze launcher won't start? Thanks!
EDIT: Hi again, the quick fix was to press and hold the home button to get into the task manager, then what I did was to uninstall the Pure Breeze launcher and it reverted back to the default Samsung Home launcher. Hope this solution helps for anyone with the same issue.

Install Trebuchet in Oxygen OS?

Has anyone been able to install trebuchet on oxygen os? it gives me error!
The problem is, that you can´t simply install an systemapp to your phone.
But there is an OpenSource Branch of the Launcher which enables Trebuchet for all the none Cyanogen OS devices:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kaneoriley.cyanogenport.launcher3
I have tried it the whole day and I can say, I have my favorite OPO Launcher back!

Help smart recovery

Hi, my Huawei P smart FIG-LX1 went into a bootloop so I reset and re-installed latest update
after reinstalling and going thorugh set up I tried to install modded pixel launcher 2, it instals but I get a box saying Smart recovery
"your phone has recovered from a serious error caused by pixel launcher" the only two options I have are cancel which resets me back to the default EMUI launcher or Uninstall which obviously uninstalls pixel launcher
( even removed EMUI launcher from /system/app or /system/priv-app folder ) can't remember which folder
Anyone know how to fix this or disable this smart recovery feature?
I got the exact same message a while back when trying to install rootless pixel launcher.
I just ended up using nova with some tweaks to replace it and it works even better imo.
edit: grant the launcher storage permission through settings

Custom Launcher on Kindle Fire HD 10

Hi, I'm new here and kinda new to Kindle. I have a Kindle Fire 10 HD (2019) and I used the Fire Toolbox to get rid of all the bloatware and stuff. Works great, but if I set my launcher to Nova using the Toolbox, I can't restart the device without it reverting back to the original launcher. I also tried launcher hijacker but it got blocked. Is there way to change the launcher (I want Nova) for good or a way to root this device? It's running Fire OS 7.3.2.2
PS: I did try searching on here for this but couldn't find anything
I think that by restarting it resets it back to the default, which is annoying. AFAIK theres no way to root with the version you have either. However, if you have Nova installed and you do reboot, you should be able to open nova, possibly youll need to go under Settings->Applications and find it there. Under Nova settings, you can force the 'use launcher by default' to pop up, and set it there. I know some people have had luck with the toolbox by using older versions to install certain portions (like the hijacker), possibly you can side load it

Click to collapse
Try to change the launcher using the pm set-home-activity command in ADB (requires Windows or Linux computer)
Code:
adb shell pm set-home-activity com.teslacoilsw.launcher/.NovaLauncher

Is there a working method to get root/custom launcher to work/block updates in Fire OS 7.2.7.3 (PS7273/2625)?

Hello,
I'm a little late to the party... By the time I realized there is a custom launcher app, and that preventing auto updates will help to preserve existing third party apps functionality my Fire TV Stick (3rd Gen, no 4k) Fire OS already got auto updated to version 7.2.7.3 (PS7273/2625).
I tried to download Wolf Launcher, it seems to open but there is no Settings inside it or an option to set it as the default launcher.
I also tried to download Custom Launcher but it doesn't seem like the Enable/Disable/Options (I Set Active Custom Launcher to Wolf Launcher and LM Handler Status: Active) Custom Launcher buttons do anything.
What are my options now? Can I try to downgrade my version without losing all my data? Or can I upgrade to a version that these things are known to work?
Also, is using the Remote ADB app sufficient to run the command
pm clear com.amazon.device.software.ota to disable updates, or given my current version won't run custom launchers there is no point to do that? What about becoming root, is it possible? Any benefits doing that?
Would appreciate any help or guidance.
Thank you!
We may be SOL because this update seems specific to blocking custom launchers. I’m in the same boat. I never got a chance to experience them.
