[Simplified] [Root Method] [Titan] [Marshmallow 6.0] Without Modifying boot.img

Guys today I came here with a simplified rooting method for titan running marshmallow 6.0 that doesn't need boot.img modification
Note -You need to have bootloader unlocked and custom recovery like twrp installed on your device before proceeding
Unlock bootloader here
Flash the custom recovery of your choice using auto flash script included in separate attachment
1) Download and rename recovery file as recovery.img and put into the folder of auto flash script.
2) Reboot your device into bootloader mode and connect to PC using USB cable [You shold have latest motorola device manager installed and your device should indicate usb connected on bootloader screen]
3) Now open 'auto flash recovery script' folder and run auto_flash_recovery.bat file
4) Now custom recovery is installed on your device
Steps for rooting-
1. Download BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip and place it in root of your internal sd card (other supersu version does not work on titan running official marshmallow)
2. flash BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip using twrp recovery
3. wipe delvick cache and cache (optional)
4. reboot device
5. If you want to use stable super su version i.e. UPDATE-SuperSU-v2.65-20151226141550.zip or any version like any supersu beta except BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3. download and flash it over BETA-SuperSU-v2.62 after rooting.
6. If you have previously rooted your MM running device using SuperSu-v2.52 with modified boot.img, You need to flash stock boot.img first and reboot then follow this guide (step 1-5)
#BETA-SuperSU-v2.62 will do all required modification by its own script automatically.
Note- Dnt flash any other supersu version or SuperSU-v2.65 alone on unrooted device. you will get bootloop. Do a backup of your rom before any rooting operation.
In case if u stuck on bootloop flash this update UnSu script via twrp, wipe delvick and cache and reboot. this script will remove any supersu file installed in your device thus fully unrooting ur device that will recover you from bootloop
Thank you! It's working!
Perfect, It's working!
Working,great

Where can we get the stock boot.img for Marshmallow?
If u r running stock mm, then ur boot.img is also stock.
i think it's not necessary to root again if i already rooted with modified boot image does that make any difference

BUT currently i m on cm 13
Failed Root with XT1064 6.0
Everything ran smoothly installing the zip from TWRP, but on reboot: no SuperSU; no root. Now warnings or errors came up in the TWRP text during root.
MotoG 2014 XT1064
System: 24.41.34 titan_retuaws.retuaws.en.US retus
Kernel version 3.4.42-gef77327
TWRP-3.0.0-0-titan
Installed zip: BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip
Device is unlocked. Status Code 3
Update to 6.0 was with OTA after flashing the stock rom using XT1064_TITAN_RETUAWS_5.0.2_LXB22.99-24.12_cid9_CFC.xml.
The phone was previously 5.0.2 Rooted.
I did not lock the bootloader during the process.
The OTA to 6.0 went smoothly.
Followed the above instructions to the letter....
The only thing odd I did was uninstall the SuperSU App on the phone before flashing TWRP and starting this Root operation.
Has anyone gotten this to work on XT1064? Or any other root method on stock 6.0 and XT1064

Every time i remove system apps it boot loop any work around for this in marshmallow.. In lollipop removing system apps can normally booted up without any problem..
I successfully rooted my stock marshmallow on XT1068. I had softbricked it previously by using a newer version os SuperSu (I hadn't located this post yet, so I didn't recover from it with you script. I reflashed stock).
So, many many thanks.
In the end, my successful steps were
- flashboot flash recovery twrp-3.0.2-0-titan.img
- reboot into recovery
- install BETA-SuperSU-v2.62-3-20151211162651.zip from TWRP
- wipe dalvik & cache
- reboot device

Confirmed working on TWRP 3.0.0.1, stock Marshmallow 6.0 from OTA updates. Every other SuperSU got stuck on unlocked bootloader screen.
Thanks!

Work !
---------- Post added at 12:43 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:42 AM ----------
Work thanks
i Tried this on Xt1072 Moto G 2nd Gen 2014 LTE and had to use the UnSu first as per the instructions and for the reasons described in red. I was also stuck in bootloader with that horrible message that says your bootloader is now unlocked! Now the issue is I seem to be stuck on the Motorola hand stitched by peter crawley boot screen? I saw someone aske dhow long this lasts? I had to use an OTG usb flash drive to get my files on to the damn phone for some strange reason phone and pc having massive communication issues, not playing very nicely with each other????? wtf? anyway I got okays and successful messages when in TWRP 2.8.5.0 I just dont understand why there seems to be such a huge problem with getting this f"£$%^&*g phone sorted.
Nexus 5 rooted and flashed with the beautiful elemental x kernel, why cant we get elementalx for moto g? its absolute genius! now someone tel me what the hell is going on here, when will I ever have success with this damn phone? I hate bloat and it only has 8GB plus the sd card which is configured as internal storage, could this be what the problem is?

Custom Rom Installation help

Hi guys
I am Sujit and I have a Lenovo K6 power rooted with TWRP installed.
Android version- 7.0
Model- Lenovo k33a42
Android Security patch- May 1, 2017
BaseBand version - JO.2.0.c1-00122-8937 K33a42_DS
Kernal Version - 3.18.31-perf-gdedd3c8
Build Number - K33_S223_170610_ROW
I want to install a custom rom. Do I need to unlock any boot loader or I should just download the rom and flash through recovery.
Regards,
Sujit
You have installed twrp then your bootloader must be unlocked, if you have locked it manually then you have to unlock it before flashing custom rom, as you might loose your current OS too, it will be better to unlock bootloader, take nandroidbackup from current os to prevent any undesirable situation, before flashing clear, system, data, delvik cache and then flash, select appropriate GAPPS to flash after rom

OnePlus 5 stuck on stock rom after trying brick cant flash anything now

So im trying to root my oneplus 5 and i started off by using Lineage OS but i wasnt too happy with it and i liked Oxygen OS much better so i decided to go back to it and while doing so like an idiot i wiped everything in twrp including the storage with all my ROM files and the phone was bricked and after a long struggle i used the unbrick tool which is called MSM tool which installed oxygen 4.5.8 using some some Qualcomm mode or something and it booted and worked fine but ever since i wasnt able to download the oxygen 5.1.1 update through the phones update section, it reaches 100% and says signature verification failed and goes back to 5%. So i tried downloading the latest Open Beta from the OP site and tried local upgrade which said installation failed so i try installing it locally through the Oxygen Recovery but again Installation failed so i try unlocking the bootloader again and installing it through twrp and it just keeps showing the boot animation forever( i know people say be patient but i waited for 20 mins+). So i decided to use the unbrick tool again and now im stuck on the OOS 4.5.8 unable to update the phone.
I tried to flash the latest oreo through twrp several times and just tried flashing it through so many ways where none worked , even adb sideloading it worked till 47% and said installation failed and everytime this happens i have nothing left to do but use the tool and unbrick it again and this takes so much time as i have to unbrick and then do the first setup and then go to fastboot and unlock the bootloader and do the setup again and transfer the files and then install twrp and flash.
Nothing has worked so far
And now even when i go back to the 4.5.8 stock after unbricking for some reason it just doesnt connect to any wifi , it just says Connecting and then saved and then disabled and repeat, only my mobile data works.
I tried to flash lineage again but got an error 7 with it or something and im back to the stock unbricked state without wifi and all i can do is unlock bootloader and install twrp.
If anybody has any suggestions and can help me please do so immediately. I require my phone urgently and need to fix this fast.
Thank You !
(btw im in India and do local service centres fix such issues?)
Make sure you use newest twrp. And also flash firmware for 5.1.1

i am using the latest codeworkx twrp 3.2.1 and when should i flash firmware? can you just give the process i should do? stuck at 4.5.8 without wifi with twrp and unlocked bootloader
Wipe everything except internal storage, after that click format data and type "yes" to accept. Then download oos 5.1.0 firmware from here https://sourceforge.net/projects/cheeseburgerdumplings/files/15.1/cheeseburger/firmware/ and lineageos 15 (or any rom you want now), gapps and move all 3 packages to your phone. Flash firmware first and then reboot to recovery. Then flash rom or gapps and reboot
You have to flash the latest TWRP from twrp.me, then download the latest OxygenOS build. Reboot into TWRP, wipe data, cache, system and flash the latest build, then just go to wipe > format data, type "yes" and reboot
Lol man your OP5 is not bricked, if you can boot on TWRP, you can install all that you want
I advise to Format Data/Storage, Wipe everything and install xXx 10.7 (OOS Custom with a great Aroma installer), choose decrypted, it's better if you want swtich rom in the future AOSP > OOS > AOSP
bro i have same probleme after install any rom custom or official , always stuck on boot logo , any solution ?
no solution??

Phone going into recovery after trying to update the rom?

So I've got a little problem with my Redmi Note 7 - I unlocked the bootloader, flashed the TWRP recovery via fastboot and flashed Magisk v19.3 to root it.
Everything works fine but when I try to download and install the official rom updates the phone just boots to recovery and after restart it says that the update wasn't successful.
Any way to fix it?

N9005 problem installing twrp

I have an N9005 device, it comes with default stock rom (5.0 lollipop), the problem is I tried to install the last TWRP version but it doesn't boot into twrp, I can only install old twrp version 2.8.7.0, and I cannot manage to get it to boot into last twrp version, as I want to install an android 12 rom and can't do it unless I have latest twrp version.
What could i do to install an android 12 rom coming from stock rom?

If something doesn't work, you must describe it precisely, showing messages or screens.

There's no message or screen, if i flash twrp 3.7 using Odín or adb it directly boots normal when i try to boot into recovery, but if I flash old twrp versión (2.7) it works fine
You don't need to install version 3.7 right away. Do a trial with twrp-3.5.0_9-0-hlte.img first, but flash it directly from TWRP, not through Odin. Use the IMG option to flash the recovery partition.
