Is g4 play had nfc? - Moto G4 Play Questions & Answers

In settings --> memory I found that some RAM portion is utilised by phone for NFC service. But why I'm unable see the same NFC settings in my 16/2gb model?

[Q] NFC on tmobile LG G2

Does the tmobile version of the G2 have NFC? I cannot seem to get it to read any tag or connect to any NFC devices. The NFC is turned on in the settings. Has anyone used NFC successfully on the tmobile version?
Yes I have.
I have used it to send/receive pictures (G2/S4). I have also used it a few times at a vending machine getting a coke for 30 coke reward points through ISIS.
Works fine here bud.
Sent from my LG-D801
I'm not using a TMobile G2, but iirc there are different NFC standards and therefore different NFC tags - make sure you are using the correct tags!
With my D802 I have no problem at all to use NFC - created the tags with Trigger > works great!

Lots of Data usage and i'm facing $300 in usage cost.

I have a 6GB plan and somehow I have used up 16 gb of data and apparently yesterday I used 8gb on my phone. I have unlimited Wifi at home and I always connected when at home.
I didn't leave the house yesterday.. but some how I managed to used 8gb according to my phone company which is Bell Canada. Called and they informed me that the charges were legitimate and there is nothing I can do about it.
My whatsapp (plus) showed that it used 12gb and that's crazy to me. Rom - Dynamic Pop 6.0 with Canadian Data fix. Please help guys..
Guys I did not use 16gb of data but some how my phone company is getting that information from my phone.. how is this possible ?
I don't think you should have used whatsapp plus, it's not an official app. Normal whatsapp uses very little data.
If it's whatsapp plus that caused it (go to settings > data usage and look for any big spikes in usage by any app), then you should uninstall it and hope that these issues don't happen again.

astar_d7 apn settings

Hello,
I've got a head unit some weeks ago, which is running an astar_d7 chip. I've uploaded a picture showing the "about this device" screen.
I've also got a 3G dongle for that device, which is working (somehow). My problem is with the apn settings.
When the device is on and I connect the dongle everything is fine. It loads the correct apn settings for my sim card. If I then restart the device, letting the dongle connected, it loads a chinese apn (called "China Unicom 3G") instead of the one for my sim card. This apn is basically working so I would say it's fine, but I use Here WeGo as navigation software, which then keeps closing, because it's blocked for china. Also my setting for google location history gets disabled, because that also is disabled for china.
I couldn't find a way to make the device save the correct apn. I've contacted the dealer, but they couldn't help me with that.
Someone here got a similar problem and/or maybe a solution?
Thank you
No one having the same or a similar problem?

Questions about LG G6 software implementation

I am thinking of buying an LG G6. My current phone is a Nexus 5X and I wanted to ask an owner of the G6 if the following software features are available:
1) SIP calling, as described here using the native dialer: https://support.google.com/nexus/answer/2811843?hl=en Option 2: Use a VOIP service to make calls over Wi-Fi (SIP)
2) Can the SD card be formated as internal storage? This is available since android 6 but some OEMs disable it on their devices.
3) Is the data saver available as in the nexus devices? Data saver disables background data for apps when you activate it, for example during roaming. https://www.technobezz.com/enable-data-saver-android-nougat/

Moto X Pure Secret Codes

I post here directed how to get some info about our phones by dialing *#*#4636#*#*. Being curious, i found this link to do more:
http://mobilespecs.net/phone/codes/Motorola/Motorola_Moto_X_Pure_Edition_2015.html
CAUTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Some seem pretty dangerous so use at your own risk. At worst, I guess they could brick your phone but I am reasonably sure will not launch any nukes.
Enjoy, or not.
Specifically, I read about turning on WiFi Calling which I thought was not possible on my VZW MXP. A Magisk module, "VoEnabler", says it will turn it on and seems to do so. Causing concern was that VoLTE settings were now gone. The code at the top presents a menu of info one of which showed VoLTE was still provisioned. Makes me think Magisk module, "VoEnabler", is dual purpose. Turns on both VoLTE and WiFi Calling?

Not really a secret and many listed are extremely dated (early 2000's) generic codes or carrier specific... if you went down the list I bet you would find 75% of them don't do anything. There are some apps in the play store that do similar things but from a menu (it invokes the system application the code is used for), one that comes to mind is called Hidden Menus but I am sure there are others.
