New samsung promotion - T-Mobile Note 7 Guides, News, & Discussion

A buddy of mine works for tmobile and he told me samsung is having a new promotion with the note 7. He said that till November 1st if you register your new replacement note 7 on the samsung website they will send you a fire extinguisher to show appreciation for being devoted customers. So don't drag your heels and take advantage. [emoji23] [emoji23]

I laughed

No one wants to laugh at the fact that this is the best darn phone Samsung ever made and it's being plagued with battery problems. The freaking battery is what will do the Note 7 in. The fracking battery! Damn you Samsung! Damn! Dann! Damn! I need a glass of milk. :fingers-crossed:

I feel you. I'm also very disappointed that this happened with this awesome phone. It's a freaking shame. I love this phone too. I just hope that they can recover from this and keep making the note line.

Too bad it's waterproof. They could have saved money and just gave us a bottle of water instead. Lol.

Some of you guys need the lighten the F up man. I've spent roughly 6 hours at the stores going through exchanges and found this to be in good humor.

This is just another reason that Samsung should stay with a removable battery. The biggest mistake they did with this crap.... This will teach them a lesson. LOL

[emoji23] [emoji23] nice one! I personally don't care for a phone that's water resistant myself. I have never dropped my phones in water. Besides when they make the phones water resistant calls sound muffled so don't care too much for it lol.

Yes I totally agree with you. I could have been a lot cheaper for them to resolve this issue. Just send out some batteries through the mail and voila problem solved. Lol
Sent from my SM-N930T using XDA-Developers mobile app

I don't think the problem is strictly the battery. Logic says there's more to it. Personally I think that's karma coming back on them for locking all the bootloaders...

Dropped my note while cycling...

...and it survived like a boss. Only a small scratch on the back cover.
My iPhone had a much less drastic fall and was destroyed.
Also dropped my Note while cycling. The silicone case took all the shock so my Note is still in a perfect state.

haha, btw, i also like your survive like boss analogy!. but certainly my note is more lovely!!
my note fell twice already. once from a normal table down on the hard ceramic floor and once from the bed down on the wooden floor. not a scratch. having previously owned the HD2 i've come to expect that kind of endurance from a smartphone, and the note didn't dissapoint.
U guys r lucky. I dropped my note once and the top has a small chip. Heavy phone = larger impact

Lucky people! I dropped mine from about 30cm and it hit the floor on the corner left of the menu button and the screen shattered!!
Still using it because the display and touch is still working. I live on a farm, so to get to town is a day trip to get it to a repair shop.

I was even more lucky. I was at a small rock koncert yesterday. And ive been jumping around as is custom for that kind of music. But sudden i get a feeling that im stepping on something. I look down and my foot is on my phone :S luckily not a single scratch. I have no idea how it survived this treatment :O

Answer to your first question "why do you have a smart phone?" is " what's it to you ??? and you said " i don't get it " and answer to that is " he doesn't need you to understand why he bought his galaxy note" as that is none of your frickin business.... HOPE YOU GET IT NOW....

Well I dropped once on a ceramic floor while forgot that my headphone cable was still attached as was pulling it and it literally flew off lol and second time on wooden floor ..My note is like as new hehe Though using a hybrid case..

The Ultimate Drop TEST!!!

So i just bought the note 2 a few weeks ago and desided to give me brand new never scratched mind condition S3 to my girlfriend. In 5 days she dropped it between the elevetor crack and fell down 9 floors !!!
When we finally found the phone (thanks to the elevetor guy) i checked the phone several times in detail and found that the only thing that was broken was the glass in front of the screen the screen worked perfectly (i could still use the phone btw touch worked) .
Samsung i love you..
https://www.dropbox.com/s/3ae1cwm6z6ugx4j/20121024_153106.jpg heres a pic of the phone (cant upload to xda for some reason..)
So she dropped her phone through the 1inch gap between the floor and the elevator....really??

I dropped mine to a hard ground from normal standing height and I thought it was bad enough until I saw yours.
Anyway mine just got some unnoticeable scratch and works perfectly.
That kind of robustness could only be found in older Nokia phones. :good:
We wannt see pics.... We want pics.....with the elevator crack and the screen !!!

Impossible. The Elevator crack is too small..and i dont think that the phone drops exactly into it -.-
Such pessimists, I've seen old school elevators where there are couple inch gaps and you can see all the way down. I believe the guy, and if it's fake, with a mind like that, he should be writing literature

Well, kudos to Samsung, I suppose. The only weak spot on our phone is made my Corning. (>_>)
I love Samsung and I believe S3 is pretty resistant. Depends on how is dropped. But she should had very bad luck and dropped the phone on the bezel in order to fit that space between elevator... that's why I want to see the elevator.

dropped mine on the treadmill @ 10km/h...shot out pretty quick...thank God for screen protectors lol...
Dropped mine from a pub roof, survived with minor chips off the corner,

What the hell is going to happen to my Friends credit because he's dumb.

My friend started service 2 months ago to get the note 2 on T-Mobile. He has 360$ equipment loan fee still plus he his bill is $373 and he got three Note 2 replacements from t mobile and a iPhone 5 and didn't send them back and he isn't going to pay his bill what could happen?. I told him he's going to really mess up his credit. What could happened from what he's doing? He got a bunch of messages from t mobile saying he has to pay up to $850 if he doesn't send the phone back what's going to happen?

Credit report and legal action. Refusing to return devices not fully paid is considered theft if said company request return.
Bottom line: Your friend is stupid.
So if I read that right, he has 4 phones that he isn't going to return? His credit is going to be the least of his worries.

His credit is going to get wrecked, they're going to take legal action (Let's be honest, its going to be clear who's going to win and he'll be in even more ****), and on top of all that he's going to have a debt collector breathing down his neck.
Hope he doesn't plan on getting a house, car, bank account, or loan anytime soon.
So your "friend" has acquired at least $2500 worth of high tech hardware across state lines by lying. I would expect at least one and as many as four three lettered government agencies to be taking an interest in him soon.

Cannot blame you. The people over there are practically going over to war over the most insignificant of things. Congratulations on winning though :good:
With all due respect, can you kindly ask the people you invited to pay the invites forward to here on XDA, if they have any left over (real friends and family are always first priority)? These are good people on these forums, and we won't tear you to shreds like over on the OnePlus forums
I'm really excited about it... But the only thing that worries me is having 16gb only.. It could never be my daily driver with only 16gb. I have 160 in my m8.. Lol I can get away with 32 and 64 for sure would be enough.. But last time I had a 16gb device with no sd slot was the Nexus 4 and I remember how much I had to sacrifice to use that device. Sure there is cloud storage but at the same time you still need decent storage to have just a little more than a handful of apps and graphic extensive games.
I also have a find 7a coming.. I might try to port the OnePlus rom to it

Did we lose all the steam we had?

Now that the Note 7 has launched, have all Devs given up working on the S7/S7E? Or is it just that we're at a standstill with no progress because its impossible?
The locked bootloader killed this phone. When I got it, I convinced myself that I no longer needed custom roms...I was wrong! My enthusiasm for this phone has died, something that didn't happen with the LG G3 it replaced right up to the moment I handed it to my son. The S7E is fine, but I regret its purchase every day. I probably should move on now, but I'm not sure which direction to take. I'm certainly done with Samsung and most likely Sprint. If I wanted boring, I could have joined the zombie herd and bought an iPhone.

Yea i feel u guys, I bought a nexus 6p and I love it. I still have my S7 edge but haven't touched it for about a month straight so I may as well sell it on Craigslist.
Are there no ROMS or development on the sprint gs7 edge?

I was about to get this phone, but I want custom ROMS. Should I move on?

Good morning, sir. I'll be trying it when my replacement s7e comes. But have you tried it? What's your opinion on it if you have?

Won't work on Sprint. A couple guys got it to work by flashing tmobile firmware via Odin only to discover that they can't roll back to Sprint firmware nor downgrade tmobile

Not only did Samsung shoot themselves in the foot with the explosive note 7's but the s7 edge is amazing hardware crippled by a locked bootloader and no dev support. Samsung phones are more and more tougher to crack. While I'll never in life use an iPhone again, I'm hoping the new Nexus at least supports sprints ****ty Network and or maybe sprint will carry it.

You can still root and modify. I have my phone pretty much like I want it. The only thing that I'm really missing is 3minit battery. You have to be deodexed in order for it to work
