Hi,
I am interested on buying x3+ for running. I have doubts, maybe you could help me?
Are running apps running well?
Is a problem de round shape? On running apps?
Does gps have good precision?
Finally. Is heart rate sensor working good? Even running? Can you keep it on during long time?
Thanks for all,
Luis Puig

did you know if it works with running apps ?
nike running or endomondo ?
is it water resistant ? so it would be sweat resistant ?

Running apps work perfect.
There are many apps compatible with round shape. so no worries.
GPS is good. gets locked fast.
Hear rate monitor is nice and fast but it doesnt rate continuously.
I recommend this watch if you want a real watch like feel.

Hi:
I'm also considering one of these 2 watch to buy (the X5+ or the D5+), or even other to buy. The X5+ has the advantage to have the amoled screen, but the no.1 seems to have more support (or at least i can't seem to find any support and firmware page on the finow website).
The watch will be used for receiving notifications from my Android phone and to track my sports activity (running), using sports tracker and C25K applications (heart rate will be monitored by an heart rate band - polar HR-7).
So, what do you guys suggest?

What you have done here is collected just about all the copyright protected faces and launchers ever made and distributed them without permission.
You do not own any of them. You did not make any of them and you have been reported - not just to the XDA admin team but to outside agencies as well.
What did you think you were doing ? It's a blatant act of piracy .......

z2 Smart Watch

Anyone know anything about this?
Clearly some idiots will soon put together a kickstarter/indiwatever claiming they completely designed clearly Chinese OEM kit with no modifications whatever other some software doodads (LOL) and plastic additions and some will pay these idiots through the nose while others will just buy from the oem via shops like Chinavasion for a reasonable amount.
LOL.
Anyhow would be cool to findout which OEM designed z2 and whether any chinavasion like shops are selling it?
go to google and type "z2 android wrist watch" - looks interesting - even if it's only a render.
Also ignore the uplaytablet wannabes pretending like they invented it - they're distributors.
Found a link to it.

Clearly some proper price gouging going on for this z1 though... $400 USD??? Must be having a laugh
Will wait until it comes to sites of Chinavasion's ilk for maybe $260 USD then I'll bite.
Thanks for the info dedesuper!
That second video I posted demonstrates why I think the z2 is so much better than all the smart watches at the moment and represents a better value proposition. IMHO. Though this could easily change once reviews hit, also as I see other manufactures jumping on the bandwagon..!
The USB charging on the wristband is just like the z1 - perfect!

Hi Damien,
I have bought myself one of your Z2 watches to develop a navigation app for flying light aircraft. My first impressions are good but I have a couple of questions...
Google Play:
My Z2 came with a simplified launcher that did not include Google Play. I downloaded and installed (various versions of) the Google Play apk and when I run it, it flashes up for a second then closes. I installed Nova Launcher from it's apk and that gives the same result. I've tried the usual stuff such as emptying the cache etc. but nothing works. Do you have any suggestions? It's not a stopper but it is inconvenient not being able to install apps through the proper channel.
GPS:
A few days ago, I got my app installed and was flying in an open cockpit gyrocopter and got a GPS location fix ok. Yesterday I was wearing my watch around town and in the car and it did not get any GPS data at all. I'd appreciate any comments you have on GPS with the Z2.
Screen:
You mentioned that the screen might not be good enough. I see what you mean. The contrast is poor and colors are dull. Not as good as a phone but you can read small text on it and it is surprisingly possible to type emails etc.
Battery life:
The first day I wore it I was waiting for my turn to fly and messing with the watch. By the time I got my flight the battery was flat. It was 11:30am. 2 hours or so. I had been on the internet with it and the battery was pretty hot. Yesterday I wore it all day and the battery lasted ok so it should be ok...
Thanks in advance for any info you can provide,
David
@SuperDave156;
I have one of these watches as well and am happy with it BUT like you said the battery gets quite warm (43C when i am using 3G) and does not last long.
I have installed Google play manually and ADW launcher seems to work ok on the watch Also you may want to install Pie control (very usefull).
-
Here is the Google play i used if you want it BUT you need to root the watch with Framaroot and use Boromir exploit.

you could boot loop your device.

Framaroot here:

Also installing system toolbox pro i was able to chabge the CPU governor to Ondemand rather than the default Hybrid so battery lasts a little longer.

Thank you for your detailed explanation of how to get Google Play to work on my Z2 watch. Your instructions worked perfectly and have transformed my watch from an ok novelty to a fully functional Android device. I am using Nova Launcher which I had previously installed and is similar in layout to AWD which I also tried. I now have my home screen set up how I like it with the HTC sense clock/date/weather rather than that uninspiring clock that comes pre loaded.
This thread will be a valuable resource for anyone else struggling to setup their Z2.
Thanks again,
Dave
anyone knows how to update the firmware?
I read in another thread about u8, but of course I do not have u8pro
GPS fix
Here's a thing... The main reason for buying an android watch for me was to use the GPS for navigation. Unfortunately it has only got a fix on one occasion and that was while I was flying in an open cockpit gyrocopter. I have worn it while walking around and while driving but it never gets a fix. I don't think it is due to the rooting because I had this problem before I rooted it.
Any one have any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Dave

smart watch for $100

I read lot's of good info under this post, but I would like to ask what would be the best move to buy for $100?
I have a Sony Xperia Z Ultra, so it will be so easy to check my wrist instead of pulling that monster out of my packet every time. Also I am looking something "classy" looking watch face , please help me out. Will be a good choice the Smart Q Z?
SmartQ Z isn't really what I'd call a classy design. Are you looking for something with calling features? Or just a watch that can give you notifications? If you're looking for calling features, I'd probably go with a LX36 Galaxy Gear 2 clone (dhgate.com). It's a dumbwatch, meaning it runs a j2me system, not full Android, but, it has notifications and calling. If you're looking for notifications and mini-apps, I'd pick up a Sony Smartwatch 2 off of ebay. They're going for right around $100 these days and has a classier design. Other than that, there's not much on the market for $100.

What I am looking for ,something has a design look , clear screen, has a built in camera (works itself not as remote) & I can use for saving pdf or notes for test in the class.. Large enough screen to see it, not necessary a standalone device, answer phone call would be a plus ,but I am not expecting a lot about that considering to the noise reduction , etc.. Would be nice with an app for running , or hearth reading
Other than that , I don't really care...

So...basically you want a watch that has everything. Kingelon K2, which is a Galaxy Gear 1 clone, is the only one that's going to fit your price range. Doesn't have the heart rate monitor, but, it has the camera and can save pdf/notes. It runs full Android. It can be found at dhgate.com as well.
Yes , that Star Kingelon K2 really looks nice, but I couldn't find on Ebay, I know Vifocal.com was selling under $90, but they are out of stock. Also I was reading about it , and they saying the battery holds for only 6h??
What about ZGPAX S5 or S6?

K2 can be found on dhgate.com from numerous sellers. ZGPAX S5 and S6 aren't what I would call a classy design and are both standalone phones with no sync software from the company itself. They also both run an outdated Android 4.04 operating system out of the box.

The more functionality a watch has = less battery life. And vice versa so you have to make a choice which you prefer.
The WeLoop gives 2-3weeks but with basic functions and the opposite side you have the Gear S.

So why is the Star Kingelon K2 is better than the original Samsung gear watch is cheaper now ? K2 around $100 SG is around $90-100.
Is the K2 knows more things?

Samsung Gear 1 is supposed to only work with Samsung phones. There are some mods to get it working on non-Samsung phones, but, notifications are screwy without additional notification software like Tablet Talk. Not to mention, the Gear 1 received an update which converted the watch over to Tizen rather than Android. Tizen has a long way to go in terms of functionality and apps compared to Android.
It seems it would be a lot less hassle to just get a watch that would be supported on your non-Samsung device out of box and one that runs Android by default. That's the K2.
Thank you for all of you , I just need to find one now for a better price? 1 more question, is the K2 has an option to read pdf ?

I don't think you're going to find a better price. You're asking a lot for such a small price. The K2 runs full Android so yes, it can read PDFs. You may have to download an app to read them if support isn't there out of box. But, yeah, it'll do a PDF.
Thank You again. The cheapest I found is $110.87 free shipping.

If I were you I would buy the Galaxy Gear... Keep it on android and install the SWApp Link app on your Phone and Smartwatch, instead of using Samsung's notification system and problem solved. Galaxy Gear looks great, superb OLED screen, and fast GPU and Processor, its basically an underclocked Galaxy S2

You can guess my point though if you search the title of this thread. There is a youtube video which I will link in 6 posts which I find fascinating.
This smart watch has android, is inexpensive, has a pulse monitor, and "e-ink" screen. I wanted to know if it is any good. It has the same cpu as the SmartQ Z1 but is much thinner 9.5 mm.
Thoughts?
No SIM or WiFi, 320mAh battery. Android 4.2.
I'm sure it's a good piece for those that prefer notifies. I guess someone will have to buy it and test it.

Yeah no SIM sucks, or WiFi, no Compass, no GPS. But it does have Bluetooth 4.0/2.0 whatever that is... anyone know if that is a mistranslated 4.2?
That is a small battery true 320mAh but that possibly leads to the lighter weight, lower height of the watch which is 9.5mm thick.
It does have Android 4.3 actually, and it uses the same cpu as the SmartQ Z1 which is already ported. It only has 512 megs rom and 512 megs ram, which will be a problem for adding apps, that right there is almost enough to kill it.
The big thing it does have is.
Pulse Monitor
E-Ink Background, it switches between e-ink and TFT seamlessly, there is a youtube video that makes me want to buy this watch.
Run time is 7 days on paper, while displaying time 100% of the time using e-ink (very cool)
It has android so it can be upgraded at some point by the ppl in this forum!!!
If there is something similar / better out there for the same money let me know before I buy this one! I am leaning toward this one mainly because it is so thin, its actually thinner than the apple watch (10.5mm)

So, there is the Reedone X1 which is interesting but does not have the low power e-ink TFT thing going for it. I like the specs but dont like the 11mm thickness and lack of e-ink TFT.
Reedone website shows the Reedone X2 (there would be a link here, but you have to find it yourself because reasons!) The Reedone X2 is the same watch as the X2 Smartwatch from IQI, with same pictures and stats.

Does anyone have a recommendation for a smart watch then?
This looks the same as GearBest are selling as Atongm WO13 http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_166847.html and has the same display as he MiMi Mi-W3/Podoor PW305II http://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_139964.html
I looked at this a few weeks ago but could see no advantages over the Mi-W3 I already own plus the following disadvantages:
Not waterproof - the MiMi is IP67 rated.
Much larger in height.
Proprietary charging cradle - what is the point when it isn't waterproof and uses exposed electrodes? Just something else to lose or break.
Edited to add: The BT 4.0/2.0 is because it uses a dual module that connects with either 2.0 or 4.0 protocols dependent on the device it is connecting to.

Wish someone had this, close to pulling the trigger, but I don't know whether just to not get an android based watch and get the new No 1 S2 (Sun).

I don't believe it is Android based, apart from the splash screen there is nothing in the videos or adverts to suggest that it is. As it uses an Ingenics XBurst CPU I would guess it uses a version of their MIPS compiled Linux.
Although on Pandawill and Geekbuying, it clearly states Android 4.3 as the OS. Also, didn't the smart Q run on the same JZ4775 chip and run Android? i'll check with all the china shops tommorow and see what they say about the OS.
LightInTheBox says Android too, I was just going on the videos and screenshots, neither of which look like any Android I've seen, but of course it could be heavily customised.
Read the reviews of the NO.1 G2. Doesn't sound like a good buy. I'd definitely wait to see what the S7ler or others reviews have to say about the Sun.
maybe they mean it's compatible with android, not running it as an os?

Thats what I'm thinking. I'll check with them both later today and see.

I have been researching this over the past day.
It appears to be sold under 3 different brands
As Antogm W013 through gearbest,, geekbuying, lightinthebox, everbuying/dealsmachine, coolicool/efoxshop, Ebay and Aliexpress - but no stainless version
As IQI X2 on Aliexpress
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Newe...32324780280.html?spm=2114.32010308.4.2.tnhc0X
As Simptech X2 on Lightinthebox and Aliexpress -

I saw a video of the No. 1 S2 and the screen goes to the edges and beyond. I saw lettering go past the screen, which looks glitchy. I was tempted because of how slick it looks but they didn't do any work on switching the square scene to a round screen.

Geekbuying claims it has Android 4.3 on it....but still not 100% convinced.

I am torn between this one and the Reedone HG-X1.
ISI X2 :
72.08 - Lowest Price
TFT Screen, Heart Rate Monitor, Pedometer, etc...
Reedone HG-X1:
80.99 - Lowest Price (black plastic?) at
Same as ISI X2
+GPS
+Waterproof
+Built in USB Connector
- 1mm thicker at dial
They are very similar. I have not seen a video on the Reedone yet though.
Any thoughts on these? Do they actually run Android? Would android gear be portable to these?

Purchase Decision - Lemfo Lem5, Finow X5 Plus, No.1 D5+

Hey guys and girls,
I want to buy a full android watch and spent the afternoon reading through the forum and watching the YouTube videos where all the watches are presented...
Now I narrowed it down to the Lemfo Lem5, the Finow X5 Plus and the No.1 D5+...
As far as I understand the Lemfo and the Finow are pretty much the same, right??
The main reason for this thread is, that I landed on a big smartwatch selling page and there it said that both the Limfo and the Finow DONT have WIFI... But everywhere else it says that both models have WiFi on board... So to be 100% sure I wanted to ask you guys who own the watches...
Thanks in advance for your help...

I am the same, I do not know which of these three models to choose, which one has the best after-sales service and best community? What is the best of the three?

Three of them are very similar, so you have to take the visual aspect into consideration, I am most in favor of LEM5 it looks the best for me.
I have one question regarding FINOW X5 Plus.
Is it waterproof? Or just IP55/54?
I can`t find this info...
Lemfo has IP55.
1- LEM5 and X5+ are the same watch under different brands
2- All three are supported by a +8000 member community specifically geared towards these round full android watches. This includes a large number of custom faces, firmware, custom apps, tech support and so on.
3- The D5+ is part of a larger family of watches spread across multiple brands as well.
4- All three of them have wifi. Most of those selling sites couldn't get the specs right if their life depended on it.
So what it comes down to really picking is 1 button vs 3, LCD vs OLED, smaller watch vs larger watch.
EDIT
About that IPx4 or x5 rating, don't trust it. IPx5 is 12L/minute water jets from any direction with no issue. Basically this;

Thanks Lokifish for the very comprehensive answer! To be honest I am not sure anymore if I really should buy a full android watch atm. The reason why I wanted this is that I am using windows phone and the app situation is not really awesome... I thought a full android watch could fill that gap in some situations. But now I figured that NFC is necessary for some apps (e.g. mobile payment at my local grocery shop). Do you know a full android watch with NFC?
Thanks a lot!

I`m only curious about waterproof during heave rain or washing my hands, not more.
On LEM5 spec it`s mentioned about it, but not as it comes to X5+. But for me, X5+ looks better and I`m keen on it more. I only need some proof I can use it during washing hands or heavy rain.

If you want contactless payment you don't need NFC. Hexxa Atenea has chip & PIN support via an insert in the band. If you live in the U.S. though, forget it. The U.S. only recently started using the decade old older chip & signature system, which is incompatible with chip & PIN.
If you want NFC, you will not find a single smartwatch with fully working NFC. Not Apple, Wear, Samsung, or full Android.
having the same doubts, I bought three and teste: D5+, Finow X3+, and LEM5.
LEM5:
the good: it's prettier, larger, has three buttons and I really like the interface.
the bad: the battery. it last for 8 hours when I basically do not use it
D5+: ,
the good: battery life. this lasts forever.
the bad: only one button. the interface is not that cool
Finow X3 Plus:
the good: battery lasts ovefr a day with regular use. the two buttons make it easy to use.
the bad: visually my least favorite one, screen is a bit small for my eyes, not a fan of silicon band.

What you have done here is collected just about all the copyright protected faces and launchers ever made and distributed them without permission.
You do not own any of them. You did not make any of them and you have been reported - not just to the XDA admin team but to outside agencies as well.
What did you think you were doing ? It's a blatant act of piracy .......
hello
I gave the same dilema... I want of those, but don't know which one to choose...
is their thickness the same as below? Is the screen from the No.1 D5+ the IPS or OLED one?
Lemfo lem5 1,39"-400*400 48*48*12mm
No.1 D5+ 1 1,3"-360*360 46*46*13mm
Finow X5 plus 1,39"-400*400 48*48*13mm

Need to run a mediacal app - which android smartwatch works?

Hi Guys,
i need to run a medical app on an android smartwatch. The app is made for diabetes management. You can find the app in google play store. It is called Eversense CGM. Sorry for not attaching a direct link. As a new user i am not allowed to post a link in this forum.
The app runs on android and appple smartphones as well as on apple smartwatches. Android smartwatches are officially not supported. However. I already know that it works at least on some of these android x.x china smartwatches.
As an example the Finow Q1 works. More or less. The app runs on it but it is not fully displayed on the small screen (320x320). That´s why i guess smartwaches with a higher sceen resolution like e.g. Zeblaze Thor 4 or LEMFO LES2 could work. Perhaps another screen ratio could also be helpfull. The app is made for smartphones which have usually other screen ratios as a square.
My problem is. I have no chance to test this without buying this smartwatches. And i really would like to avoid buying a lot of Smartwachtes just to find out that a lot if don´t work with this app.
Could anybody with one of the mentioned smartwatch please help and try to install and start this app? No need for further testing. Just wanna know if the app starts an if it fits on the screen.
Thanks for your help!

In the LEMFO LEM7 (The same as a Zeblade Thor 4) it seems to be working correctly. I didn't login but the login prompt seems to be okay. If you PM me your credentials (maybe with a temporary password, just to be safe), I can send you screenshots. I also have a LEM4 PRO.

Hi
Have you got a watch on the run for Eversense? I'm looking for a full android watch to get eversense and AndroidAPS as loop system on the run. The main problem will be battery live. Last year I've tested a H5 M9 with MT6737 chipset, but the battery
