I want to get Android 6.0.1 on my LG l5 - Optimus L3, L5, L7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello, i've been reading different posts about updating my android on this forum. I still don't understand how i can exactly get from android 4.0.3 to 6.0.1. Could someone give me a full tutorial on this please? Also, i need help with the baseband. I don't know which one i have to download for my phone.

As far as I know. You need the V20 baseband to install CM10.1 or above
For the Android 6.0 you want. there is this CM13 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt...opment/e610-e612-e617-cyanogenmod-13-t3378683
For Gapps : http://opengapps.org/
but imo Android 4.4 KitKat is better for a stable use

[Q] pac rom mapping to android and Gapp versions?

Glad to have found this forum. I apologize if this has already been posted somewhere...but I just couldn't find what I'm looking for.
For each pac rom stable release on pacman basketbuild, how can I tell 1) what version of android it maps to and 2) what version of Gapps I'm going to need?
Can I just always use the latest Gapps?
Thanks!

[Q] Carbon ROM questions / hlteusc ROMs?

Hello, I have a few questions here I've been looking at ROMs for the Note 3 (US Cellular version) (N900R4) (hlteusc) And so far the only ROM I have found was Carbon ROM that does not have issues (From what I can tell) and has my level of customization I wanted. BUT I have no way to ask people what the bugs are...Or how to flash it going from JB 4.3. I don't want to brick it on the first try, Some say normal flash with recovery some say I have to flash KK firmware first? Then the ROM? Yet I can hardly find info on this...So if anyone has this information please let me know! Also let me know if it's worth it going from Stock 4.3 to KK 4.4 (CarbonRom) Any information help. Thanks.
Update: I also heard that once you flash to KK ROM's or higher there is no going back to JB...So I want to make damn sure I'm making the right choice.
Bump...Come on anyone?

need some help with my A500

I have an Acer A500 running Android 4.0.3 (Kernel 2.6.39.4+, Image Acer_AV041_A500_RV05RC01_EMEA_DE, Build Acer_AV041_A500_1.033.00_EMEA_DE).
It feels sort of sluggish all the time and sometimes Apps completely crash... So I was wondering if I should run a custom ROM or downgrade to HoneyComb or whatever
So what I am asking is:
what ROM is currently the most stable/fast? (official and unofficial ROMs)
can I use a different kernel and, if so, should I and which one?
what exactly is a bootloader and do I need a custom one?
how would I go about flashing a new ROM? (official or unofficial)
I tried searching this forum (and tegraowners.com) and didn't really find answers to my questions or a guide on how to do this. The only thing I really found is that the OmniROM 4.4.4 has more features that 5.1.1 or CM12.1, so I'm guessing its the most stable one...
Any help is appreciated

I need the 4.4.4 CM11 ROM

I hate Android 5+ so damn much but the CM download page is down for whatever reason (503). Does anyone have a copy of the CM 11 ROM for the USC Galaxy S5?
Here's one for plain KLTE. I just searched cm 11 snapshot klte. Try that for your device.

EDIT: And here is an unofficial build of cm-11 temasek for klteusc.

Thanks, will try them.
I hate most of the new Android versions and my S4 runs happily on 4.4.4. My S5 is running a 6.0.1 version of SlimRom, which is quite awful, but it's better than anything else I tried.
Honestly I'll probably use KitKat until it's officially depreciated by Google.
4.3 has the best customisation support, literally anything can be customized. I had 4.3 on an LG P505 and it was awesome, but 4.4.4 was probably the best version of Android ever released.
Give this a try. Hope it helps.

Im super new to all of this and have questions

Hello
Im super new to root, rom and other things and im a little bit confused with all the topics here.
I search the newest (i think its 8.1?) and most stable version of android because i like the look and the options of it and I want to stay with this version.
What is the best version of it and how can i install it on my phone? Has it auto update or do i need to do the same thing for every update?
I tried google and search for a good beginner guide but all i found was videos and they have not always described everything for a newbie.
Would be cool if you can help me what i need and what to do and of course i have a S5 neo (SM-G903F)
The newest official firmware is Nougat 7.0.0. There are unofficial ROMs for Oreo 8.x.x that you can find on this site.
