[Q] pac rom mapping to android and Gapp versions? - PAC Q&A

Glad to have found this forum. I apologize if this has already been posted somewhere...but I just couldn't find what I'm looking for.
For each pac rom stable release on pacman basketbuild, how can I tell 1) what version of android it maps to and 2) what version of Gapps I'm going to need?
Can I just always use the latest Gapps?
Thanks!

AOKP, AOSP?

I'm running the official aokp 4.2.1 rom on my nexus 10. I was wondering if I were to flash say the paranoid android 3.15 rom which is aosp, would I need to do something special when going from aokp to aosp rom's? Also, was wondering how to update TWRP 2.4.4.0 from an older version of TWRP? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Even though you could have put a little effort into searching for the answer but since you didn't, I'm here.

I don't want to sound like a jackass but Searching for your problem before making a thread would be great

I know how to flash lol. I just didn't know whether there were different steps that I have to follow for flashing AOKP roms and AOSP roms or whether i would have to flash differently when coming from/ going to one to the other lol. Hope I didn't come off as being an a-hole, just was wondering lol

[Q] Pure Google Play Edition 9505G ROM for T-Mobile M919

Cross-posting here hoping this is a more appropriate place to ask the questions.
=====
Now that both Android 4.3 has been released as an OTA update and official Kernel have been posted by Samsung, I am thinking about turning my T-Mobile S4 into the 9505G (until T-Mobile releases the firmware update). I have a few questions:
- Is it safe to install the stock 9505G ROM on the M919? Do I have to worry about basebands/modems? What about the kernel? Will the new stock kernel work?
- Where do I find the latest and purest GPE 4.3 ROM? Most stock-based ROMs here are either old (not the latest) or have been modified in one way or another? Is there a link to the source?
Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get any type of answer to this question? I am looking for the same thing. I am running a Google Edition ROM but it has a lot of tweaks that I'd rather not have. I want the closest possible thing to what you buy off the Play store.

I am currently using this (v1.2):

Aside from a few removed apps, it's probably very close to the stock ROM. I've also odexed the ROM. Great ROM overall.
There is also this ROM, which seems to be close to the stock:

UK GT-I9505: Which is the most stable Android 5.0 or 5.1 ROM?

UK GT-I9505: Which is the most stable Android 5.0 or 5.1 ROM?
I usually only install Cyanogmod but I'm pretty sure their Lollipop builds are all still in Nightly. I'm only interested in stable builds.
My GT-I9505 is from Everything Everywhere in the UK (who still haven't released lollipop).
Thanks.
As of CM11 there are only two release channels: Nightly and M Snapshot. You want the M Snapshot if you want a stable release.
All custom ROMs not based off Touchwiz or the Google Play Edition firmware are Cyanogenmod-based. All are suitable for daily use.
Thanks Strephon.
Do you have a specific example of a stable S4 ROM? They maybe all based on CM (I didn't know that) but imagine some are more reliable than others.
I read about the M snapshots thanks .
p.s. Stable being used generally. I'm aware CM used to use Stable as a specific naming convention.
Thanks Strephon.

The GPE rom. It's the most stable and bug free rom I have used.
But pretty much all roms I have used have run without major issues

Most stable KitKat AOSP ROM

Hi, I'm planning on moving to an AOSP KitKat ROM, I haven't tried any KitKat ROMs before considering I got my phone with Lolipop. So if somebody could recommend the most stable KitKat ROM out of experience, that would be great. Thanks in advance.
I would recommend SlimKat 9. I put this rom on all of the devices I have. It never fails me. The developer team is great, they plan their SDLC very well. The functions/features included are sensible and helpful. Even their Alpha build is stable enough to be daily drive. You can find their post here:

I want to get Android 6.0.1 on my LG l5

Hello, i've been reading different posts about updating my android on this forum. I still don't understand how i can exactly get from android 4.0.3 to 6.0.1. Could someone give me a full tutorial on this please? Also, i need help with the baseband. I don't know which one i have to download for my phone.
As far as I know. You need the V20 baseband to install CM10.1 or above
For the Android 6.0 you want. there is this CM13 ROM : http://forum.xda-developers.com/opt...opment/e610-e612-e617-cyanogenmod-13-t3378683
For Gapps : http://opengapps.org/
but imo Android 4.4 KitKat is better for a stable use
