Hot Restart

On my 6/23 kingdom Rom I have the option to restart in normal, hot restart, recovery, and there's one more I can't remember. I just wanted to know what will happen if I do a hot restart.

Try it my friend, it wont blow your phone up. it will simply restart your phone and pretty fast if I do say so myself. It just clears out cache and is similar to a log off in windows pc. Next time go for it....lol
So it won't erase any info like contacts or text messages etc...?

its just a restart... they would never put something like that on your screen that will erase stuff...lol
Go for it man! lol
It restarts the OS without power cycling... if that makes sense. It's faster than a normal reboot, but still gives you a clean slate.

It does restart the OS but I suspect that it is not quite a clean slate. Something about the boot process is skipped, assuming it was already done.
I had an instance of a repeatable bug with the Freedom kernel that killed all audio on the handset. The only way to clear the problem was a full reboot. A Hot Restart did not clear the problem.

No just fully power down your handset and power back on

[Q] turning off low battery notification

The low battery pop up notification is really annoying. Is there a way to turn that **** off? I don't need a warning for every % of the last 15%.

When playing any gameloft games, as soon as the message appears, it dcs you. This means you can't play any games starting with the first warning at 18%

Yup, I would like to change the warning to just one at 5%, not all the other crap that keeps popping up at 20%, 15%, 10% and 5%

That's what I think too - no harm meant - he just posted in the wrong thread or something else by mistake and then edited it out with the message and possibly was limited to 10 characters.
ah,my bad lol ...no one has a solution to this
?

I think there was a battery notifier apk in system /app
Delete it... And somehow uninstall it?? Not sure
I used the XDA App to post this, what did you use?

Maybe bad downloads? I would keep trying. Make sure you're in a GOOD WiFi area and try to not let your phone sleep while it is downloading. I have a feeling that when the download stops and then starts again, the file gets corrupted or something.

That might be it. I'll disable sleep mode. Hope that fixes it. Just have to wait 24 hours to try again... damn att server restrictions.

Just set your date and time a day forward and if it fails again, just continue pushing it forward. I've tried at least 10 times that way now haha

I've had similar issues on one of the first OOS versions.
Perform a clean install, should be gone.
Also, this may be caused by tweaking kernel in a bad way, or things like Xposed.

Once in a week? You guys are lucky. Mine freezes as much as 5-7 times a day, and as little as 4-5 times per week.
Every time it happens, I have to go to recovery, clear cache, and then it's smooth again.
I'm on OOS 2.2.1, and the lag and freezes are much worse than with 2.2.0.

I'm going to be trying SkyDragon OOS. There's also a SkyDragon H2O, but I don't like H2O's UI. I'll let you know how it goes once I run it through the weekend.

OnePlus staff said that they will be updating to M in the first quarter of 2016. So I think there are atleast 11 days left until we get it.

Strange glitch/bug?

So suddenly, my phone will press random keys when I am not touching the screen. This only occurs when I am typing/swyping. After a few words, it starts to phantom press keys. I have washed the screen multiple times. My hands are also clean. Anybody know what the deal is?
No, maybe get a new one? Of course they're going to ask you to factory reset first. But sounds like an issue with the screen. I know you'll laugh at this, but have you tried restarting it and does it continue after a reboot?

Yes, multiple reboots. Oh well, I will see if it continues after a reset. My battery is draining fast, so a reset will help anyway.
