S7 bootloader / duos confusion - Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge Questions and Answers

So far I know all Exynos devices are BL unlocked and most roms and kernels here are for Exynos devices.
I recently learned there are 2 versions of the dual sim international s7 edge. One Qualcomm and one Exynos
1) Are they both bootloader unlocked?
2) Do Exynos roms work on Qualcomm devices (Kernels dont obviously)
3) Do you think Exynos (Better support right now) is better or Qualcomm(little support now but possibility of much better support later in terms of AOSP and CM) is better

[HELP] Which version to buy please?

Before release, the consensus was that Snapdragon version was the best to buy because easier to root and because of ROM development support. From what I read, though, the Exynos is the one you can readily root, is this right? Will ROM development happen only for Snapdragon still? Or is Exynos more popular now?
I know the Snapdragon is faster than the Exynos, but in USA, even Best Buy sells the Exynos version if you asked for unlocked. So my question is this, which should I get?
1) US Cellular version Snapdragon (spoke with them, they sell them unlocked if you add a pre-paid card and pay the full 800+ for phone)
2) International version Exynos ( http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...00332&sr=8-4&keywords=unlocked+galaxy+s7+edge )
3) International DUAL SIM version Exynos ( http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galax...00332&sr=8-2&keywords=unlocked+galaxy+s7+edge )
I plan to root and install a ROM when one is available, so which of these is better for me? ROMs for international version work the same if dual sim or regular? I'd like to get the Dual SIM version because for only $30 more, you never know when it might be useful... unless having a dual sim version means it would be incompatible with a single sim ROM.
Thanks in advanced.
Your only choice is the exynos if you want root, exynos also has better battery life, they're both equally fast. The dual sim version uses the same firmware as the single sim, i'd get it.
Lots of roms working. Xposed working. Get international version

Which model S7 Edge is best for... (question inside)

Howdy XDA peeps.. I would like to get an S7 Edge and see that there are a lot of different models out there. Some with Snapdragon, Dual SIM, Exynos (sp), etc.
I have the T-Mobile branded Sony Xperia Z3 right now, love the phone, but hate that the bootloader is locked! I am stuck on Lollipop with no Marshmallow in sight.
Which S7 Edge is best for:
- Band 12 LTE and VoLTE access
- Unlocked bootloader
I know the AT&T version has unlocked bootloader, but does it have Band 12 access?
Should I get the International version?
If I go International and it has the Exynos (sp) processor I pretty much won't have access to ROMs... Is that correct?
Thanks!
No North American Qualcomm SOC-equipped S7 has an unlocked bootloader. If you want to root, you'll need the international version (or the Chinese Qualcomm version, but that likely brings other issues).
Thank you very much, I appreciate it!

Will TWRP and SupermanROM work on SM-G9350?

The SM-G9350 is an unlocked bootloader Snapdragon Chinese phone, and it's true. However, I really want to use the SupermanROM. Apparently, there is no official support for it, but can anybody explain what could happen if I used an Exynos 8890 ROM on a Snapdragon 820 (unlocked) phone?

Samsung Galaxy S8 & S8+ (Variant Confirmation)

Hello
I have been looking for confirmation regarding the Canadian variant of the S8 and S8+ (if they are indeed the Snapdragon or Exynos chipset).
I see a lot of old posts and rumor that bootloaders are locked and unlocked, but which is it ?
Do canadian carries (Rogers) sell the:
Samsung Galaxy S8 (Exynos) (dreamlte) or Samsung Galaxy S8+ (Exynos) (dream2lte)
Has anyone confirmed if the:
SM-G955W variants
have unlocked bootloaders?
trying to confirm this so I know I have root+recovery, if anyone could assist with this.
Thanks
EDIT: I suppose this is my confirmation?

The Canadian variant is snapdragon, there is root but you cannot unlock the bootloader at this moment in time, this means no custom recovery and therefore no proper roms and no kernels.
For future reference on other phones, GSMArena lets you choose which variant you want to see the pecs for on their site- https://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s8-8161.php#g950w
If you want an unlockable snapdragon you need the G9500

Ouch. That REALLY sucks. Canada usually always has unlocked bootloaders. That's a shame. Guess I will have to look for the international variant

I don't need snapdragon, I rather just have unlocked bootloader. Thank you for the heads up !
I suppose I will need to look for
SM-G950F, SM-G950FD
as they have unlocked bootloaders

Help Regarding Tab S6 Lite 2022 Snapdragon LTE variant

I am planning to buy Tab S6 Lite LTE Version with Snapdragon in India. Kindly help me whether the same can be rooted or not. Will Snapdragon be better or should i go with Exynos for rooting purposes. Any guide will be appreciated.
I have the snapdragon variant and followed the same guide to root as the Exynos. As far as rom support and recoveries, there isn’t hardly any support for the snapdragon variant….yet hopefully
Thanks!
