Hello guys, when i use some applications for long time,i've to touch continuously the screen to keep it on, and it's really annoying.
Do you know if there is an app that keep my screen on with the applications that i choose??

Hi all,
Can anyone suggest an application that I can use to turn screen off, like the screen toggle function in Media player so that my wizard/prophet device stays on fully(inc WLAN), but the screen is off... so as to save battery?

I think my app VJEschaton does screen toggling and some other stuff. There are others available too.

I need an app that will let me turn off the screen from a button when I'm using my mapping software, just to save the battery.
Is there anything really simple that does just this?
Ideally, I'd like it to only work when a specific app is running.

I perfer to use the HTC 3D screen, however when the screen turns off and I turn it on agains , it will always switch to HTC home screen. It a bit annoying when using the programs like Garmin gps. Currently, I will switch to Windows or titanium when using Garmin. Hopes someone can help. Thks.

have you set password lock? try removing it.

there is about a 5 second delay that you have to wait before trying to wake it again. Also be aware that the display widget can turn the screen completely off. while the device is still active so you wont see it on even though its on.

Now i have the same problem after i installed the widgetlocker 1.2.5
I can only see a black screen :-(
Is there a possibility to uninstall it without screen?

i had exactly the same issue and after a lot of tentative i understand that the screen was off but the phone is unlocked with the screen luminosity at minimun. So if you remember where is the luminosity control (i had on the home screen lucky), you can reactivate the normal screen.
first thing i had done was uninstalling this app...
unfortunatly, after some reboot (to use wm), the issue reappeared and this time i was unable to get normal screen and i had to delete my android folder and get a new one..
a very disappointing experience with this app.

For those who will suffer from this problem in the future
adb shell echo 100 > /sys/class/leds/lcd-backlight/brightness
That will do the trick. You will still need to update the brightness in the settings then.
hi there!! i was wondering whether there is an app tha lets you change the pattern of the leds on diamnond. i would like them to flash more frequently so i can see instantly whether there is a new message or call without to activate the screen. thanks.

if your device run on android can use StreakLED.apk ...
What about Windows Mobile?
It blinks too much imo .... I'd like to turn it off completely.
