Answering call mode. - Huawei P9 Lite Questions & Answers

Hi, i realize the answering incoming call mode keep randomly change. Sometimes i get touch to answer/reject. Sometimes i get slide to answer/reject. Can this phone set it up to one option only ?

Slide to answer/refuse if the screen is locked, tap to answer if it's unlocked. I don't think it's something we can change.

Key press (by mistake) on the case

When my device P3600 received call or sms, the device is powered up, and then all the keys are active. If the device in case some key can be press (by mistake) and activate a program on this situation.
Does any one have a solution for that?
Use the Device Lock Feature in your Today Screen.
I do not like to add one more line to the dotay screen
can I use it without add it to the dotay screen?
If you don't want an additional line on the today screen then the other option is to set the device to request a password after only one minute of inactivity (under "Settings", "Personal", "Lock").

10x, but this is not help, the lock is form power up the the device, and the device is automitly powered up when received call or sms
I use a program called "device lock" that can be mapped to one of the buttons, I use button one when you hold for a few seconds. The app locks the phone and turns off the screen, so when you recieve a call or sms the screen will turn back on but the phone will still be locked.
Have a search on the forums here for it, that where i got it from.
Cheers

in this case you can not aswers a call, when received one - because when the device is lock there is no quick way to answer that call.
or I miss someting here.

Yes you can answer a call, the device lock only lets you use the power, answer, and hangup buttons. When the call is finished it is still locked, unless you unlock it.
I use this one. http://www.mr2-power.com/downloads/DeviceLock.CAB
10x, GREAT, this will do the job
it is work fine - 10x

I am glad you found a way to solve your problem but I don't understand why my suggestion should not work. If you set your device to request a pin after one minute of inactivity if you receive a message the keys will still be blocked until you enter your pin. (I am talking about device PIN not SIM PIN).
And if you receive a call the answer button works even without entering a PIN.

Your solution works too, the only thing is sometimes (for example) I'm sitting on the couch using my phone for email or surfing and watching a TV program. I stop to watch something interesting for 3 minutes and my phone has locked itself with the pin lock. I have to enter the code each time this happens. It can get annoying. If I use devicelock, I lock the keys when I need to, obviously when I'm at home and my phone is on the coffee table, it doesn't need to be locked. I set my device pin lock at 2 hours, that should give the phone enough time to lock itself if I loose it...hopefully.
yeah... but when you loose your phone the device lock doesn´t matter. only reinstall a Rom and your phone can be used.

Yes, very true, but at least they won't be able to see all my contacts, appointments, notes etc. That being said, I always use FlexWallet to encrypt all sensitive information which is synchronized to my laptop.
touch screen and buttons can be locked during a call?
I followed up this thread and found it very interesting. But it does't focus all the problem:
when call's come in, your solutions are ok.
But when I want to make a call, I found there is a nasty *****, clicking to call waiting or to head speaker on, opening a note or calling my voice box etc. etc.
Then I found that it was my ear or my fingers, clicking on the touch screen or my fingers clicking hardbuttons.
I think tat during a call on the normal speaker the only buttons to be active should be "hang on" and "loud speaker on". With loudspeaker or BT on, or call terminated,s screen and buttons should come back to full function.
Anybody knows a solution to this?
Regards, and keep on, its a great forum. i love it.

Hmm this is just "device lock" that we can see in HTCplugin. In my case it does not turn off the screen. It just locks my device. Is everyone has "turn off the sreen" functionality?

I lastly tried the on-off button to block screen during outgoing calls.
I never did this before because I thought it would cancel the active call, but it doesn't.
Ok, I see it's more or less doing what I want. But it's very unconfortable. When I hit it bad, or don't hit it at all, or forget to press it?
Isn't there a posibility to have the screnn sensibility off, only sensibility, until the call is either ended, passed to outer speaker, headset or BT? or perhaps simply until I give it free manually?
It would improve safe usage of that phone remarkably, I think.
If not :-( , well, I allways can press the button ;-)
curious for what solutions you'll find on your problems with incoming calls. Perhaps that will give me an Idea.
Chears
I've complained about this on just about every major forum I have found. Hopefully, someone will eventually write an app to allow personalized device locking. I would set my trinity to not wake for ANYTHING and have ONLY the power button active. I would prefer to get audible alerts (or vibrate) to incoming calls, alarms and messages. Pressing power would be the only way to turn the device on. PIN features only annoy me. This would be very useful anytime I am not willing to immediately respond to a notification - driving, having dinner, in a meeting, etc. It could significantly improve battery life. I store mine in my pocket and accidental button press is a problem as well.

key lock program

Hello-
I have searched around- but I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that would solve my problem with my key lock.
Basically, what happens when someone calls is my phone will automatically answer. Since the touchscreen becomes active, it will touch the answer button or some other button.
Some people have blamed it on the way I pick up my phone.. or the pouch.. or whatever. Frankly, the reason isnt what is important to me- I just want my phone to stay locked when it is locked and only allow pickup by pressing an actual button...
Any thoughts? I cant imagine I am the only user with this issue.

It could be wrong by setting up your PPC. You can check again as follows:
Settings=> Phone=> More=> Automatic pickup: do not select 'Answer incoming calls without pressing'=> OK

Nope.. that is not it. It isnt that it automatically picks up after a certain amount of rings.
If you get a call with the Wing, the actual screen allows you to press answer or ignore- even while in screen lock. You should be forced to have to press an actual button, imo.

[REQ] Diamond Lock

To all good developers out there.
I (we) need a DeviceLock Application for the Touch Diamond cause existing lock APPs are to buggy for the Diamond. One is extremly draining the battery and dont lock all hardware keys another one lock all keys but slows down the device that the incoming call is not shown.
I am searching for a simple application that locks the device after I press the power button and unlock it by a slide to right on the TouchScreen. Same if a call is incoming.
Not more!!! A simple lock without additional features. Is there a way that anyone can develop this?????
What about the standard device lock that comes with WM?
You can also activate a today plugin for it, so on your today screen you press on the lock and your device is locked and the screen light is dimmed down and after some more time shut off.
Or you press the power button, then the device is locked and the screen light is immediately shut off.
To unlock you only need to press two buttons on the screen.
To unlock you can also press the power button to turn on the device and then pull out the stylus, no need to press the screen because with these two actions the device is also unlocked.
What's wrong about the standard WM device lock?
standard WM device lock is stupid! it is very difficult to unlock device in daylight. Gray button on gray background and dim backlight... what can be worst?
If anyone know how to change colors in that screen - it would be great!

Ok, that's a point. The screen is unlocked and things could happen unintentionally.
There is a thread about this, with some idea, but I think there is no good solution yet for this issue:

try this
Hi all
have you try Throttlelocker ?
i have install on my Diamond and it run good. light version, no battery problem, skinnable........
i think can be a good compromise.
main point: Throttlelocker can totally lock the device.
problem: you need to turn device in suspend mode manually. since now i have not found a way to use it under the backlight.
ciao
I personally use S2U2, it works perfectly on the Diamond and is fairly easy to unlock. The Slide 2 Answer feature is pretty good too - stopps you accidentally answering calls.

infact on Diamond S2U2 dont lock the home button, and battery slow down very very fast, expecially last version.
with S2U2 battery life is less than one day (medium device usage)
with Throttlelocker battery life is more than 2 days (medium usage too)
due to the fact that diamond have little (big!) batteryproblem, for me better to use Throttlelocker.

And that is the problem. At work I carry my phone in my pocket and if I get a call and dont recognize them my phone answer the call. That is the reason I want a lock software that locks on calls although.

I use this which I think is simply put the best autolock for windows mobile. Customizable actions, my advice, keep it simple.

[APP] SensorLock
Hi Atze001,
try to have a look at Sensor lock, (Themes, Applications and Software , http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=422871).
maybe this app. can solve your problem.
ciao
I haven't noticed any battery problems when using S2U2 on my diamond. Every time I put my phone down, i invoke S2U2 (I have it mapped to the long press call button - never automatically, maybe this has something to do with it).
I can normally go about 3-4 days on a single charge while S2U2 is running when I'm not using it.
The version I'm using is 1.18, but I'm going to update it soon.

Annoying lock screen for incoming screen!!

Does any one knows how to disable the lock screenn when a call comes in? It is fine usually, but when a call comes in, I just want to pick it up ot ignore.
Thanks in advance.
The Lockscreen is the Incoming Screen...
Okay then how do I disable it?

You don't. As wertzius already said, when a call comes in the lock screen is no longer the lock screen but the incoming call screen: the "answer" button is the slider, the "ignore" button is the power button. Therefore, you can't disable that!
Further to lornova's answer: You can silence the call ringer/vibrate using the top of the two volume buttons on the side.
power button declines the call wow, three weeks and I've actually only just realised this.
haha cheers!

Answering calls screen problem + Question about caller screen

I noticed this only or mainly happens when my phone is my pants pocket. A lot of times if my phones rings and I take it out of my jeans pants.. the answer slider just won't move and the whole screen becomes unresponsive. Sometimes I'd be able to move the red slider a little bit so I can only then slide the green one to answer.
Happened to anyone else?
Also, A question.. Why sometimes screen to answer a caller sometimes is "slide to answer" and other times it's buttons "Answer" and "End Call".. something?! Randomly?!

Slide to answer is when your screen is locked, buttons Answer and End Call is when your screen is not locked (ie you are currently using your phone)

No. I'm not using widget locker.
Does the problem happen mostly or only if you were getting the Atrix out of your pocket to anwer? I'm thinking it's got something to do with touching the screen while the phone is ringing.
