I have it. Don't know what the "improvements" would be. I've noticed nothing different

Check the quadrooter scanner app from gplay and see if u still have the exploits

Just got it. Downloading now.
Info on it.

436mb for "call improvements" and the July security update?
Wish I had taken note of app versions. After the update 61 apps are updating on first boot.

It broke my chrome. Updated it to one that won't merge tabs ffs.

Could be a coincidence but Moto display only turns in for a fraction of a second now.

Reboot to bootloader/recovery, and then wipe cache. See if that fixes it.

Sorry. Worth a shot. Others said that fixed it for them.

Found the fix on another site, and tested it further. Moto Display is now directly tied to "Animator duration scale" in developer options!
Set it to off Moto Display just flashes. Change it to 10 and Moto Display illuminates over 20 seconds.

Any update on the quadrooter? I'm not flashing this till I know for sure it doesn't permalock what little glimmer of hope we still have.

they patched it. I wasn't holding out any hope considering we'd still need an unlocked bootloader.

Im having the same issue, when I change the "Animator duration scale" It slows down other things like swiping down the menu screen. Is there a way to just apply to the Moto Display flashing only?

Poll: Supposed OTA 1.35.605.2 -- Have you received it?

Sorry but I am skeptical about this OTA. So I'd like to start a poll on who has actually been prompted and/or received it.
what are you skeptical about ? it existing ?
what would make you skeptical of this ?

The fact that only 1 person has received it.
I haven't gotten it, but I'm not sure I'd even see it since I renamed otacerts just in case they did this.
I guess I'll wait a little longer to be skeptical...considering only 1 person on THIS forum says they recieved it. That doesn't mean only 1 person recieved it.
Plus, with all the users here running custom roms already, how many of us are even going to see it pushed to thier phones ? I know it won't come up on mine at all because of that.
We'll see...maybe it's real, maybe it's not but I think it may be a little early to think otherwise.

Exactly -- only one screenshot from one user. Given the number of us who frequent this forum, our sample size is large enough that more of us should have it by now if it existed.

Not really. For about 5 days the only guy that had received the first OTA update was a writer at Phandroid. It eventually got pushed out to everyone.
So what is the motivation for photoshoping the screen shot?

I'm running the CM test rom and when i go to "About phone" in settings. the option to check for software updates is gone. I figured because of that, i would not see any OTA's pushed to my phone....I'm not trying to say it's real, i'm just saying it's pretty fast to call someone out.

I think the OP is just trying to see if anyone else gets it. If someone does get it and doesn't have clockworkmod recovery, be sure to logcat so we can get the file.
If you have clockwork recovery you should be able to accept the update, because cwm won't flash it but the update will stay on your sdcard.
if any of you want, ill be more than happy to demo the damn thing with a damn webcam as proof the screenshot isnt photoshoped.
I don't know if anyone seen this but Verizon tweeted something earlier today too about sharing your data connection....it seems to fit the update giving WiFi hotspot. I could be a dummy but I believe the guy. Hopefully more people will see it soon.

New update?

Yesterday a notification came up on my screen for a FOTA update. It didn't offer any detail and I haven't been able to find anything online about what is in the update or what it's supposed to fix.
I declined the update and it said it will reappear at the next scheduled update check - of course, it didn't tell me when that is.
When I go to the Settings menu and do a manual check for firmware and HTC updates, it says there are none.
If anyone can explain to me what's going on, I would really appreciate it.

Yay Lollipop for Droid turbo... it sucks, tons of issues

I can't figure out how to edit the top post on this
Got the update this morning and hardly noticed. One thing to note is the Verizon messaging application crashes when trying to send and receive MMS forcing me to use the new version. I only noticed because of this glitch. It has other instabilities as well and my battery suffered a loss, I only get about a full days use where I used to have almost 2. Also the phone keeps going into Airplane mode. The camera can't record in 4k mode either...
The first is the phone before the update, the latter two are after... Still near stock with circles widget. I can take it in to get it replaced, but I don't want the Verizon tramp stamp...

Sorry Droid Turbo, and no I don't do soak tests. I rely too heavily on the device for business. I have a feeling the update may get delayed due to this. Trust me there are issues, and it is the only reason I noticed I got the update at all. The Maxx is the non-Verizon version.
Can you post some screenshot of the 'about phone'?
Any new stuff on the lollipop for droid turbo?

Also, I think you can downgrade the phone to 4.4.4 by RSD, if you need the firmware.xml, I get send a link to you.
If you've got lollipop, then why is the usb debugging icon from kitkat? :/
It's an alternative launcher....
So you got the update this morning? And yet you already know how the battery life is? Yeah nothing to see here, move along. Let's lock this before it gets out of hand
The op is also the guy that claims to have got root working.. Then provided Nada...
There's actually no indicative that it's lollipop. It's just the Google Now launcher before and after the update (app update)
Everything looks as kitkat as it could. Sorry, pal. You didn't fool us
Hey look, I got the update too!!
Its called an updated Google Now Launcher (or any other up to date third party launcher for that matter), not Lollipop.

I have it temporarily rooted, it loses root upon reboot, please wait until I can get a script working. I have been granted temporary root via camera. It grants temporary root via USB Debugging turned on with MTP and all that turned off. I have been able to remove VZW Bloatware... no luck on bootloader yet though.

I thought I would, but everything I used to use root for I can do non-rooted now. This has all that I want and more, only a few minor setbacks.
USB OTG for storage, and USB gamepad, keyboards etc...
Wireless HDMI
USB Tethering I use PDA Net
Sideloading applications, provided they are signed, and signing an unsigned application isn't that hard...
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I can hide the apps (only drawback) but not uninstall them
I can't load kernel modules
Buttons are hardware so changing them is a non-issue
I can't change the battery icon
In fact up until the Lollipop update, the device has been fast, smooth, stable, and did everything I wanted. I think rooting and romming aside, and of course my next phone will be a developer phone, but I can live without root for a little while, this works well. I am off to the Verizon store to replace this so I can get a working Kit-Kat version, if I can get one without the Verizon trampstamp. If not I will just wait for a fix which will be coming shortly.

That's touchwiz you're talking about. It doesn't look like stock android anyway. The Turbo (like most Moto phones) is meant to be as close to stock as possible. I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that our wifi icon will be solid white when we get the update.
How the hell does he get a full day of use if he got the update this morning. Please close thread and stop giving him attention.
Stop the bull****, the wifi icons are from kitkat

Yes, US has been the very last region to update both times, so far, and I expect it will be again this time, too. The second update didn't take long at all to get to every US user, though, once the US update pushed. By the time I got my notification everyone else already had it and the update URL was all but pointless. I'm not really all that concerned with getting this one, but man I hope that 6.0 update hits every region fast. We're building a larger user base now, though, so maybe we'll get lucky and XDA members from each region will be among the early people to get the push notification.

According to Android Police: "Verizon Is Rolling Out An OTA To The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge Tomorrow, May 6".
This was posted on May 5.
So, unless my calendar is wrong, the update should be coming today.
Has anyone received the update? I tried and it says the phone is up to date, but still has the Feb security.
I just got it at 10:33am MDT (Utah). I'll report back tomorrow around the same time if I can.
I had HORRIBLE battery life with Wifi turned on (<10h total with maybe 2h screen on time), but I pay for 18GB plan so there wasn't really a need for wifi anyway and that helped my battery life tremendously.
I'll turn wifi on and report back tomorrow.
Have you tried Smart WiFi Toggler? It learns where and when you want to connect.
The update just became available in the KC market. Any reason not to take it?

now the verizon variant has the same damn problem with nova launcher double tap to sleep that every other variant has.
when you use double tap to sleep gesture, and wake it up, it won't let you unlock with your fingerprint anymore. it makes you use the damn pin or pattern too.
god i can't stand verizon and their **** updates
