Rooting my redmi 2 prime

Hi all!
Well, i just updated my redmi 2 prime to version 7.2 lollipop, but now i aint able to root it in any way. Can someone pls help?
I wanna root my mobile as fast as i can.

Download flashable SuperSU and install it via system update in setting.

Well, i got the solution. Anyone with the same problem can go to the following link and get their redmi 2 prime , which is running on lollipop , rooted easily. You'll have to sign in to your xiaomi account, for downloading this file. Here's the link:

Yes its stable, been using it for over a day now and haven't found any bugs yet.
You will need to unlock bootloader, flash twrp recovery.

Now That We Have TWRP

Now that we have TWRP question from my part can u flash OnePlus 6 ROMs with this new TWRP

They might boot but doubt fingerprint scanner will work

Flashed XxX rom and everything works fine. Gonna try the Google Experience rom next.

Will start flashing a couple myself to Port them over for our device then and have a couple of ROMs want to know did the fingerprint scanner work?

i installed it everything works just like before

I can get regular flashable zips to flash in twrp but no roms. XXx is more of a UI mod, and it isnt a paypoad. Bin. Old twrp (blu spark) I could sideload at least.. cannot on latest twrp

Ooooh been out of the loop for a minute with some travel and the Thanksgiving holiday - is this version of TWRP what we're working with? If not could I have someone shoot me over the latest thread?

I am on TMO variant of the device and it works perfectly. Just follow the instructions and you good to go.

Since I already have 3.2.1 installed, can I just flash 3.2.3 without having to go through the steps to fastboot to the IMG?

By working perfectly, have you managed to flash anything or just backup and restore?

I believe that you can, but ask on the thread as I'm not sure

Flashed the installer for TWRP but nothing else. Just backup and restore. Read the thread as others are trying to flash various things

Did you flash to the international version? I was wondering if it's possible to install twrp with the latest TMO update (9.0)?

Why couldn't you? If your bootloader is unlocked, just follow the instructions and your all set.
By the way I did flash the 9.0.6 firmware, it's just a preference.
