Rooting my redmi 2 prime - Xiaomi Redmi 2 Questions & Answers

Hi all!
Well, i just updated my redmi 2 prime to version 7.2 lollipop, but now i aint able to root it in any way. Can someone pls help?
I wanna root my mobile as fast as i can.

Download flashable SuperSU and install it via system update in setting.

Well, i got the solution. Anyone with the same problem can go to the following link and get their redmi 2 prime , which is running on lollipop , rooted easily. You'll have to sign in to your xiaomi account, for downloading this file. Here's the link:

Good luck! I have a rooted sm-530az cricket phone but I can't find a custom recovery anywhere. Posted on here and android forms but no luck even asked people that they said they have the same phone with philz recovery installed. But no answers and no luck.. If you find anything please let me know. There are no Roms for our device yet but I need a recovery.

what program did you use to root SM-G530?

Best version to root is kingroot 4.8.1 and then use supersume to swap kingroot for SU

I have a cricket grand prime on 4.4.4 and obtained root through king root. Im in desperate need of a custom recovery and cant seem to find one. TWRP doesnt have one for my model and i cant seem to find cwm. Any suggestions

Alright guys I got fat fingers and accidentally updated my phone to 5.0 I had Chainfire supersu Pro installed prior to the update can I get root back and if so how

Well this is not the place you want. A 2 generations out of date EOL device board that is not even close to the same device...
Did you try googleing if your device has a root method it is a rather obscure Euro only device.

after watching a video on YouTube i did whatsoever dictate there
go to SuperSU> Setting > Clean Up> full unroot.
after doing that i reset my phone then after i tried to get official update but unfortunately i got same message that your device is modified unauthorized way. go to service center.
what i supposed to do now i am exhausted :'( no proper help i got while there are lots of experts exists. disappointed

Just download the official stock rom of you model from sammobile.com and flash it through odin.you are done.

Urgent help required. My note 4 is running Dr. Ketan's rom on Marshmallow. I need to unroot to get a hardware problem fixed, but i've never tried it before. I know I need to use SuperSu but I don't have a boot / recovery image. Can someone please help me. Will be exceedingly grateful.

All recoveries for HM2014818 .. but my redmi model is only 2014818 (there no HM in front of model number). Can anyone please provide me proper working recovery...
Model: redmi2 HM 2LTE-IN 2014818, Rom: kitkat(1gb ram 8gb rom version), Miui version: miui global 7.5 /stable 7.5.2.0(KHJMIDE).
Anybody tested gltools and xposed installer in redmi 2 (2014818)....thanks

I'm confused about redmi 2 model numbers. Is HM2014818 & 2014818 both are same?. My current rom is stock kitkat 4.4.4.

2014818 is another name for hm2014818 or hm2lte-in, don't worry you can flash every recovery/ROM which is compatible with hm2014811/hm2014817 and hm2014818 , you can use flashify for flashing custom recovery( I never used flashify because I use pc, read instructions before using it, try it on your own risk).

You can use flashify to flash recovery without pc.
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24533100289591162 (this recovery should work for you)

No need to flash any custom kernel unless you want to. Just flash the recovery image.
