Center Status Bar Clock .buildprop Mod? - Galaxy Grand Prime Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have the straight talk variant (sm-s920l). Since we cannot install Xposed, I was wondering if anyone knew a way to modify the build.prop to accomplish the center status bar clock?

Maybe?
http://nexus5.wonderhowto.com/how-to/center-status-bar-clock-android-lollipop-0158908/
I found this .zip that centers the clock, but it would need to be flashed...
Is it possible to flash this .zip with flashify?
(Credit for mod .zip goes to Dallas Thomas)

I don't know about that zip file, but I do know for a fact that we can have Xposed on our SM-S920L's as I have it on mine. First check this thread and grab the fixed version of TWRP and Odin linked to therein. Then grab @dkcldark's unofficial Xposed v85 from this post and flash it using TWRP once you have it installed. Then grab the Xposed installer apk from here. Once everything is installed and ready to go, you can use the Xposed installer to install the Wanam Xposed for Android 5.x.x. module which has clock position settings under the Notifications panel header, along with many other useful settings that can be explored. Since Gravity Box doesn't work on this device, this module is the next best thing.
***EDIT***
Upon investigation of that zip file, it contains a modified SystemUI.apk file from the Nexus 5 that most definitely WILL NOT WORK on a SM-S920L.

You are welcome! This variant hasn't seen much on the development front, but at least we can do this with it! One thing I forgot to mention was that SuperSU needs to be installed, but it seems you are already rooted, so boom!

Added some cool new stuff.
Sorry, I am on stock ATT NH3, rooted do I go about installing these? Is it possible?
If not, is there a deodexed rom you suggest I can install and used with these mods?
Thank you!

Devo7v is 100% right unfortunately. That's why I've been slowly trying to learn smali editing, in order to make my stock rom look more like AOSP (and at least PRETEND I still have cyanogenmod). Anyway if you're looking to modify your phone it's probably a good idea (and often necessary) to deodex your rom, and as I said that guide I linked to couldn't be easier.
A Few Concerns;
Right now, I am using 4.4.2NE3 update. I don't fully understand, how to be able to root my device after flashing it into NH3, so heres a few questions about your mods.
Even though I'm on NE3, can I still flash your Flashlight+Mobile Data toggle.zip?
When will Odex support be enabled?
I flashed the mods and everything is working fine except for safestrap. It no longer works.
Hi there
I'm on fresh and rooted NH3.
How can I install this mods?. As far I understand I need first to deodex the rom? But in the deodexing tutorial also need to use CWM to install it?
To install it :
Copy deodex_install.zip to your sdcard
Go to CWM recovery
Flash the zip
Done
Click to collapse
And after deodexing can I use the stock recovery to flash the mods?

On the i537, you can flash files with SafeStrap.
How do I uninstall these mods just in case I don't want them anymore?
Thanks.

Restore from a nandroid backup made before installing these mods, or go through the zip file, figure out which system .apk's and .jar's you're modifying and copy the original unmodified files from your system partition to your internal storage or SD card, then if you want to uninstall you can just replace the modified file(s) with the original
Just out of curiosity why are you still on NH3? Do you prefer kitkat over lollipop?

I was hoping it would just be like an uninstall zip like blaz1nr's tweaks/mods....I'll try them when I get the chance. Thanks.
I don't prefer kitkat over lollipop. I'd like to update whenever I can but I only have this phone and wouldn't want to be out of action for too long. The thought of having to go through Odin if the phone doesn't do well after the update is kind of intimidating to me at this point. I'll get there eventually. I like to read the posts over and over to really understand what the steps are before I do them. Right now, the confidence is just not there. Thanks for your help.

Q&A Xposed framework

Hello experts ?? I'm curious about the xposed framework I found a few guides but I'm not sure which one to follow . Also I saw that xposed framework cause various problems on Samsung stock roms .Any help will be appreciated.
Sent from my SM-N9005 using XDA Free mobile app
For first, you need to know what is Xposed Framework, (Google or ask for other members, sorry) after that, download the Xposed Installer and install it.
Some versions like 5.1.1 don't have a stable version, but you can try it at your own risk! Use Xposed and your modules with moderation and be sure that you are using the correct module for you version.
It's simple!
Sent from my SM-N910F using Tapatalk
You only need to follow ONE guide if you are on stock TW ROM, this, http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3113463
Simple enough. Just install the Alpha4 apk from rovo's topic (only the apk, no zip file) and then from recovery flash the zip package made by Arter, Krait V5 (you have N9005 right?)
And no, there is no issue, at least nothing worth mentioning. The only issue I see is when you use the Soft Reboot features from Xposed itself the Samsung logo (boot animation) seems to go really dim, so that is probably a brightness issue, other than that I haven't noticed anything and I am using it since Arter made it possible. And of course you should be on a Deodexed ROM to make it work.
Hope you got your answer. In case of further doubt just ask away.

Yes, no issue!
I'm sorry, the only issue that I have is on Gravity Box, a little time ago, but I'm trying to use it now and it's working fine, but with some knowing bugs from the module version that I've installed.

Since you're on LineageOS I'm gonna say not so much. The custom rom offers anything you can find in the Xposed repository. But you can add features to apps like background player for youtube and downloading photos in instagram, etc

XPosed for SM-G928F

Hey guys ..
Can anyone give me correct guide how to install xposed to work properly ? :fingers-crossed:
It's rooted device, with TWRP, stock rom 6.0.1 ..
Big thanks.
As far as I know, you need your ROM to be deodexed to work with xposed. So you have to deodex it by yourself, or you have to use a deodexed Custom-ROM from here.
After that you need the unofficicial Version of the xposed framework for Samsung Devices from Developer wanam.
Here you go :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
Just follow the instructions in wanam's thread.
first
you need check
****your custom rom if compartible with xposed***
then if ok
you can download
xposed-v86.1-sdk23-arm64-custom-build-by-wanam-20160904.zip or v87.1
how to installar xposed
Install Xposed Installer App version
- Make a nandroid backup
- Copy the Xposed file and the uninstaller to your sdcard
- Flash "xposed-vxx.x-sdkxx-tw-armxx-custom-build-by-wanam-xxxxxxxx.zip" through a custom recovery (TWRP/CWM...)
- Reboot and Waiiiiiiiiit, it may take several minutes to boot up depending on your Rom size.
if you like ,
**you can read this page carefully** [incluied download link in this page]
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/unofficial-xposed-samsung-lollipop-t3180960
Thanks guys I hope it will be succesfull
It worked guys .. Thanks again for your guide .

"That's due to Samsung's changes to ART. There are unofficial builds that work around this by deodexing and adjusting the ROM."
So yeah after the installation, boot up will take long but only once, and you'll probably lose 1GB of storage space .
