Light Manager and Light Flow - Asus ZenFone 3 Questions & Answers

I recall that the ZenFone 2's notification LED was limited to three colours and it would not respond to Light Manager and Light Flow.
Can someone with the ZenFone 3 please test Light Manager and/or Light Flow and comment on whether there are more colours available and if these apps change the colour accordingly?

I got my 5.5" ZF3 last night, so I'll answer my own question.
The ZF3 displays a solid red light while charging and it changes to green once it reaches 100% (not when it reaches 90% like Xiaomi phones...now that is a stupid decision). The LED flashes green after receiving a missed call or text message. You guessed it – Light Manager and Light Flow don't influence the LED notification in any way. I even tried after de-selecting the LED notification box under the display menu. Bummer.

can I turn off blinking yellow light?

I have the HDC 3600i Pro.
This is a little annoying (at night) so I wonder if there is a function to turn off the yellow operation light or at least stop it blinking.
note I'm talking about the light just above the screen.
I think the light is the one that says you have a link to the mobile carrier and the simplest solution is probably to put your Trinity face down on a cushion. It's what i do.
I did eventually find a hack called LED killer which I install and no blinking light
note it just disabled the blinking behaviour all the other functions like charging and wifi and bluetooth are still active..
exactly what I wanted
I think the LED killer is good for all HTC devices apparently.
Yes, you can change the led status by nueLed, i do the same for the Status Led that disturb my sleep

[Q] Is it possible to use the green charging light by the USB for notifications?

Hi all.
When you charge your Flipout, a green light stays on by the MicroUSB port letting you know the phone is charging.
Is there a way to make this green light the notification light?
The default white notification lights on the front of the phone are kind of difficult to see.
I find myself sometimes squinting at the phone trying to determine if it's blinking or not. Obviously if you're in a dark room or something this won't be an issue but in a normal lit environment is where I spend most of my time.
If there is no way to make the green light act as a notification light, perhaps you can have the screen itself light up a few times.
Is anything like this possible or am I out of luck?
Thanks.

How to check the led notification light?

I install light flow and it does not work.
It's not even work with light flow test mode.
How do I know if it is light flow problem or my phone's?
You might need to turn off the screen and give it at least 5 seconds while "testing" the led

[Q] Note 3 LED Notification

Hi there,
I have SM-N900. I just installed Light Flow LED for the LED notifications.
Q: Is it harmful to set the app to blink the LED in the fastest mode with 100% LED brightness ???
Q: How much battery will be drained for this settings?
Thanks
but what is this application if the notification LED 'already in the system?
I don't like third party apps, but the major problem I have is the non customizable blinkers. I want the LED light to blink fast for the notifications
I installed light flow as it has a feature to blink led when the screen is on but that didn't worked. @asus_boy it does effects the battery life.

There is no harm in letting the LED work. I've been using Light Manager ever since it supported Note 3 and nothing have happened and won't. A LED is a pretty solid kind of hardware, it really takes a lot for it to break. The only thing I can imagine to break it is if you make it even brighter than it's supposed to be, and you can't do that with Light Manager. So, as long as you don't crank up the voltage you're fine.
Hope it answered your question.

A: Same as any light source, Increasing the Brightness and Increasing the time it is on, Will wear out the LED, Will you see the effects, Possibly not! LED has about 10 years life span (EASY) with around 30,000 - 100,000 hour depending on the LED type.
So to answer your question in Short - Yes it will cause harm in the long run, But nothing you may ever notice in the period you have the phone.
Q: How much battery will be drained for this settings?
A: I could honestly not tell you, Depending on the number of notifications, the time the LED is on for etc.
Will all add the possible lifespan of the battery before a charge.
I use the same application, and i have done since day 1 owing , I can easily get a full day out of my device, Heavy usage. Lots of notifications, Lots of game play, Display time and heavy CPU Usage.
Personally i think you will be okay
Thank you very much for your kind replies.
Thanks
LED color ?

Notification LED works only for charging

Rooted phone here.
The notification LED doesn't seem to be working for...notifications. No matter what kind, I can never tell I have a notification until I turn the screen on. Anyone have the same problem/solutions?
Not really, perhaps the problem is that it's only Red or Green, its not an RGB LED. I've seen it blinking when a whatsapp message comes in or if I have a missing call but it blinks too fast, so that's the problem and you can't change the timing either.
