NO.1 D5+, hotest NO.1 D5 update version coming soon - Other SmartWatches

NO.1 smartwatch going to release NO.1 D5+ smartwatch now, they release a compare video about d5 and d5+, we find out that D5+ is android 5.1, 1+8gb memory, quad core cpu, highest specs in smartwatch!

Very nice but you should not make ridiculous claims like "highest specs in smartwatch"
It really doesn't help the reputation of your thread..... Just saying.
And don't get me wrong - I am a very big fan of these watches as you probably know from the original D5 thread.....

I misread it thinking it was going to be a firmware update..

Yes - unfortunately easily done - the thread owner should rename it really..
When it is released we will open a proper development thread for it.
We are working directly with No1 and it is going to be a while before it is actually released - they are just forecasting on their website.
It's nice for customers to know it's coming - but it will be a while yet.
Cheers

And will it have vibration? (Angry No1 D6 owner here!)

Yes, have vibration as d5. In my opinion, it just update memory, system and cpu update.

I am also interested in that new model. From video I think I spot that D5+ has barometer and gyroscope sensor. Is that true if you know? If that model have that 2 sensors it will be very interesting for outdoor activities if it also have some type of waterproof protection. I am very interested to try to use this watch for hiking navigation maybe with some apps like LocusMap or Oruxmaps.

It should have those sensors but cannot confirm barometer sensor yet

Found site that says its in stock. Could it be real?
I just did a google search and found this site saying they have the new d5+ in stock, but it seems to be the only place. Could it be they got it early? I'd like to order, and they do have the paypal option so I guess its protected but I'm hesitant. Anybody here use this service before, or know if this looks legit?

I don't think I would trust that site personally, but it gives the date for shipping as 1st of September and is saying that it is for presale now.
Hope some more sites will have info in September then.

Unfortunately No1 has decided not to work with us anymore,
They do not want to send us the three samples anymore to support it.
Sorry about that. It's a shame

CorePlayer 1.3.0 build 6213 (20081208)

I just found out that corecodec released just yesterday the much anticipated v 1.3.0 of CorePlayer Mobile and Pro.
Since I wont just rush to buy it, i wonder if anyone had the chance to try it with the blackstone.
here's the changelog: http://www.coreplayer.com/content/view/23/1/

So in 2010 we might have full QTv support, that's weird
We wont have to go all the way through incremental stages from 1.3 to 2.0.
2.0 will be a new interface and should come in the first half of next year.
c'mon guys... what are you ranting for ??

A number of previous versions have said Qtv support, but the 'support' is akin to holding up the world with a drinking straw.. not very effective.
..and beware: if you buy it now it will still be v1.2.5!
...However it was a due act anyway...
...part II: indeed - on the website they advertise for 1.3.0, but if you proceed and download....surprise ...
Damn you guys are fast ;-)
We are working on publishing the 1.3 release now.... but yeah you got headsup reading the changelog page on CP.com ;-) We are changing the text on the resellers now and are getting ready to push publish it with them... it will show up on Mobihand first and current users will be notified by email when its published.

1.3 has now been published on Mobihand.com.... anyone that has purchased it (thanks for your support) can now login on their site to download the update.

Please be polite... the Mobihand has a dropdown that asks what model of device and offers HTC Touch HD but when you select it... it tells you that the device is NOT compatible. I'm not a fool to be reluctant to pay for something that is not comfirmed to work... if Beta-boy confirms it works with the HTC Touch HD then I will buy.
OK.... looks like Mobihand is updated now... here I come CorePlayer!

Questions to 70it2 / 70B owners

Hello All,
I have few questions to 70it2 owners:
- How does it charge ? Through specific charger or usb port ?
- How is screen ?
- Did you try to root it ?
If you successfully rooted it, I'd be interested in a dd of mmc to check if I can get the aos keys. It's completely safe for your device, and it would help me for the future...
Thanks,
LeTama

- How does it charge ? Through specific charger or usb port ?
the charge is great, had no problem with it. It comes with 3 adapters from 3 countries:US, HongKong and Europe. Also with a USB cable and
- How is screen ?
screen is 7 inch and it picks up fast but regardless of the cpu usage but try not to use more than one app at the same time
- Did you try to root it ?
still looking but no one has not posted intructions to root it because this device just came out recently. I hope to root it ASAP because i have only have less than 15 days to return this. Thats all
Hi,
Thanks for the replies! Questions were a bit obsolete as I purchased a froyo it2 one (and killed it, but that's another story).

Is it really that much different from the G9?
Yes, it's completely different, soc is previous generation, omap3, single core and slower graphics.
But I don't buy the argument that it would be too slow, we see it running quite smooth on slower platform. And it's supposed to be more efficient than Honeycomb after all.

I wonder for how much you bought it. If you bought it at carphonewarehouse, listed as 70IT and sold for 99 pounds, I think you shouldn't complain...
i have bought it 110euros but i had 100euros of reduction from the firm where i work.
210e real for an error of marketing like my tab. It's just the reality, then i can complain lol
and i don't think that this tab will receive a good support from archos.

I have the i'm Watch (imwatch.it) I thought in buying the Sony one. But now that the have released the Sideload Manager and it now accepts a least to the best of my knowledge, Android 1.6 apps and have installed and run Angry Birds, Dolphin Browser, Opera Mini, all seem to work fine, and saw the awful Browser for the Sony, I am really no longer so sure.
If one could install, any software like in the I'm Watch into the Sony one, I will probably be buying the Sony soon. If there are limitations, probably not.

It's cheaper than the I'm watch. You can find them on ebay for between $50 and $200. I don't think that's a reason.
Although, the root tool I developed for it has been downloaded over 11,000 times now, so apparently it's being used quite a bit lol. I just want more of you guys to recognize its awesomeness.

Ah yes! I need to add the metawatch! The rock watch is on ebay, and I think on amazon too. I can't remember who makes it, but the real world battery life is not so great, from my understanding. Still, it looks neat lol. I will complete my chart tonight if I'm able, with all their features, such as wifi, gps, vibration function, etc. I'll also try to add pictures. If you guys know if any of those prices are wrong, let me know? I tried to find retail prices for them but had problems.

Thanks for all of your hard work -- not easy to pull all the details together.

This or...

Hey guys, this phone seems really appealing but I'm struggling to find reliable reviews of it. Currently undecided between this and that Oneplus 5... Anyone in a similar situation or have an opinion to share?
Well - in terms of specs this phone is really appealing, but don't know if they are gonna release a global version of the device.
I am in the same situation
regarding the love that the rom creators will bring in, i think that the oneplus will be the better choice, but i like the nubia and it's specs.
Plus, the price is unbeatable.
Haha yeah, I don't think there'll be much ROM support for the Nubia Z17, but already a few weeks or so after release they've pushed out a new OTA update, as well as updates for other phones. Hopefully they'll be well supported with Android O :/
I live in the UK so will have to import this model anyway, and found a great deal on:
http://www.geekbuying.com/item/ZTE-Nubia-Z17-5-5-Inch-6GB-64GB-Smartphone---Black-380167.html
I used the Honey extension on Chrome and that saved me £20! It doesn't tell me what the code is unfortunately, so can't post it here for any that are interested.
I checked the bands/frequencies and it covers the UK ones I require, and it's a 'worldwide' model. It just seems a bit strange to me that even on the Nubia/ZTE site it's not on there. But I'm gonna go for it...
Plus those edge control gestures seem to actually be loads better than the Samsung and HTC U11 ones... Correct me if I'm wrong though!

I have one and it's beautiful. Build and feel of the device is amazing. Problem is there is no Google Play/Framework support yet and no root or TWRP. So I'm pretty much waiting. I hear some suppliers are shipping them with global ROM's with Google support.
If anyone can link me to a Global ROM it would be greatly appreciated. Can't wait to fully utilize this beast!

Does anyone think it's weird that there aren't many reviews and basically no xda forum on the Z17? Is it just because it's mainly confined to China for now (despite there being a global version available to buy/import online)? Kinda starting to question my purchase now XD

I'm not rooting my M9 anymore. The phone works just fine and I'm known to stuff things up by rooting, after all I don't plan on ever changing rom, Nova launcher does what I need, and as for adds.....oh well.

I love rooting just to install sun dreams SRom...he's now not doing them anymore so that combined with the fact I want Oreo and the M9 is so wonderfully fast might stop me.
I will certainly wait until the Oreo update....to be fair though my favorite so far has been Jellybean!! Nougat is dull, I can't stand the Sense icons...thank goodness for the Theme app.

Too bad substratum doesn't really work on this phone. Or was it just me?

I posted the link to both sources right above what you quoted
Guys, please don't put your hopes too high and take this rumor* with not only a grain but two hands full of salt.
HTC (like all big OEMs) officially supports its devices for 24 months after their market release. The M9 is getting three years old, soon. In other words, it's more than unlikely that HTC will provide any further updates for the M9. Especially since the EOL phase got reached almost a year ago and not just recently.
In addition, why should a carrier branded device get a major android update the unbranded European version or the dev edition doesn't get? Don't forget that these two versions normally got their updates around 3 months before the carrier branded ones. If the Optus variant really got android 8 at then end of February or the beginning of March then SKU 401 and 617 would already be running this newer version since somewhen between late December and mid-January.
Disclaimer: Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the M9 getting another major update. However, chances are more than high that the whole thing is just a canard.
* Since this info is nothing more than that.
If a specific career device gets an update, would it be possible for all other variants to run it (ported version , may be?)?
Or, would it be possible to port it to other varriants?

It depends. Theoretically, it should be possible, but some carrier specific feature might not work for other carrier. That is, if the ROM is still compatible with the old firmware.

Apart from the carrier specific features, the rom still should work , right? That is software for literally the same hardware..

I don't know, I don't use this app and I'm not the rom developer.
Test, sorry please ignore this.

In general term yes.
Note that carrier specific would sometimes means ril+modem. So in such cases, the port could work but leaving phone and data capability out.
